CHAPTER 2; the hidalgos
I woke up the next day to a buzzing alarm; it was the D-day, the day I finally get to rewrite my story in the way I want it, after packing, my mum and Noah and I had finished packing and we were on the road, it was a 1 hour drive to the airport and 7 hours flight to new york and we arrived there safely. Stepping into the city of dreams for the first time was mesmerizing, the fresh air, the constant breeze, the late night stars twinkling in the sky, everything was amazing. When we got to our house, I was more mesmerized, it was wonderful.it was a navy blue duplex with a giant compound and a pool, it was like a forest looking glass house and it was a beauty, when we got in, a French woman looking like she was in her late 20's was already there waiting for us.

In case you're wondering, my dad has been in a coma for 4 years and since we had no money to continue his medical support, we turned to my dad's side of the family for help and they did help but restricted us from seeing him, they were against my parents wedding and said my mum blackmailed him into marriage, they were so mean, thank God I had no connection with them but I always wondered about mums side of the family and whenever I asked, she always found an opportunity to dismiss it. The next morning was Sunday and I had the whole day planned, I had my bath and got dressed, I was going to the mall to get my wardrobe changed, mum had been given her starting point money and it was more than the money we've made over the past 3 years. I went to the mall and decided to get myself 4 different dress styles for my closet. They were, simple style, tomboy, casual and e-girl, I guess I must have taken some of my mum's fashion traits, I went to the salon to get a better haircut, I went for medium wavy length with bangs and then tinted the down part of my hair purple, after, I got grey recommended contact lenses so as to stop using my big glasses then I headed home. As soon as I got back, I decided to try the pool, I put on a bikini and an oversize white button-up shirt (unbuttoned). I got a new phone, since my old one didn't have a camera, I wasn't on any social media platform but now, with a new phone, I opened instagram, snap chat and tiktok and posted some videos of me by the pool and some other pictures showing the whole house with captions like hello, new York and life in the dream house. i was making a video underwater and as soon as I came out, I saw a tall looking figure standing right at the edge of the pool, I couldn't see his face very well cause of the sun and I had taken off my lenses and when I tried getting out, he walked backed into the house without saying anything

That night, strangely I had gotten more than 2000 followers but what was stranger was at the comment section. While others complimented me on my glowing skin and nice looks, others were busy talking about my house like they knew where it was, there were so many comments like that like; omg isn't that the house next to the hidalgo mansion and more talking about the hidalgo mansion, then I saw one that said that I should watch out for Jason and that's when I started getting curious of Jason, who is he? As soon as that question popped in my head, the universe gave me an answer.
