Shadow opened the door to his home which he missed terribly. As Sephora followed him inside he grew happy and then sad knowing this homecoming was the worst he could endure. They hadn’t spoken to each other since Sephora found out about Savion killing Clarissa. She was pissed beyond words and set out her quest to harm his twin. She never once spoke to him or even looked at him.

The connection they had grown was now wavering in the air somewhere. There was no spark or happy ending for them anymore. It hurt Shadow because he thought maybe, just maybe, he could have someone for himself, but he realized he was a fool for even believing in love. Even more a fool for believing Sephora was that woman he could love and cherish. He placed his bag on the couch.

Sephora held onto her bag in a defensive position. Several movements began to happen as the children ran down to greet Shadow. First there was Sara.
