“He didn’t care. He was upset, and who could blame him? That was his first time, and I think a lot of us get a little crazy after our first.”

Kevin shook his head in agreement. He didn’t say anything else, which I took as a sign that he was still thinking about the news of him and Peter. So, I continued.

“Angel figured that finding out the truth would be beneficial to both of us. Plus, if he didn’t disappear, then great. If he did, he didn’t mind because he said Peter thinks he is crazy.”

Kevin’s eyes widened. “You mean he told him about this.”

“No, his insecurities bubbled up when Peter mentioned you. I guess he went a little overboard. Maybe you were right about some things. Or everything. Both of you.” I screamed that last part out since I knew those two would be listening at the door.
