Confrontation

Taking Selia and Trag away, we didn't bother to hide out presence any more, I took some turns so that they may not find the location of the Frostwolf clan and we dived into the rogues hidden in the shadows of the valley.

The rogues were surprise to see two dragons and a bull like humanoid they never seen before on such fashion, but those were professional rogues, nothing like the ones they faced before.

Two rogues retreated to call reinforcements and to report back to Fahrad about what they encountered while the rest remained to delay or capture them.

There were twenty of the sneaky bastards, their blades looked very menacing and dangerous, I knew we couldn't hold back this time to interrogate them as he did last time, if they resisted he would have to kill them, only using overwhelming might could he let his foes falter and give him chance of capture.

As the tank of the team he took the initiative, asking Selia to stay on air protecting our backs against the famous backstabs of rogues while asking Trag to take the right flank while I would take the left and center.

I started the fight by shaking the earth before me, making some of them stumble, and while they were affected I cast a Light shield covering the front against any projectile.

The rogues soon showed their high mobility, trying to go high in the air, where they faced the hail of spells Selia sent their way or going to the flanks where I or Trag was left.

They would be able to jump and dodge most of my attacks, only to trip suddenly by a gust of wind, or jutting earth coming from ground, soon after I would release fire upon them, a elemental spell instead of my more potent breath. While on the right flank Trag would bring his axe with such strength and speed that the rogues would get crushed or sucked in by the vacuum it created, allowing him to hit them in sequence. Selia was high in the air executing those who stoped moving or attacking those who managed to get over the shield.

This was able to deal with them until they realized the futility of advancing by the flanks, they turned tail to regroup and fight us under better conditions, half of them lay dead.

Trag was wounded in the fight, it looked like he was poisoned too, but his strong body was able to resist until we managed to draw it out and heal him.

Selia marked them with tracking spells, when I asked her for it sensing the enemy wavering, we would chase them and confirm who was onto us, otherwise we would have to be too paranoid in the future facing the unknown. Something that affects the mind also. If doing more effort now saves our troubles in future we should do it.

We chased after them, Trag being our guide on the mountains passes and Selia our compass, while I would be the engine that drove forth in high speed.

They couldn't outrun us, so they split into diferent directions and different passes, trying to shake us off.

I wouldn't allow that.

Going strait into the wall that was before me, which opened into the different passes I slammed my claws into it, willing for the earth to heed my call and don't allow them any further.

The earth heed my call and showed its unyielding nature in the act of not allowing the rogues to walk through its passes, sealing them with us.

Seeing as it was a fight without retreat the rogues went all out and started to vanish into shadows before leaping back again from them in great velocity, their daggers seeking our necks.

I shielded my self with light before pulsing it outward, making a holy nova. It didn't do much damage but it dispersed the shadows they were using to augment themselves.

Selia threw a dragon breath this time into one of the blocked passes killing three of the advancing rogues at once.

Trag went into another which had three of them, making use of the strait environment to do a strait head down slash with his axe, not allowing them to even close in on them.

I once again asked the earth to surround them, making the small pass to start closing like a wound until only their heads were exposed, they were still alive but immobilized.

I soon make them unconscious to avoid something like hidden poison capsules suicide that I seen in many movies before. Which proved to be a wise move even if it had a ridiculous tone to the reasoning behind it.

We didn't manage to catch the two rogues who left first, and knew that reinforcements were on the way I decided to search the recent memories of the unconscious rogues... usually the deeper the memory was buried the harder it was to retrieve, making them unconscious helped in that they would not resist with their wills to the intrusion on their minds.

"It looks like it is the Ravenholdt again... I don't think they would go so far for a request from Dalaran. We are under target by someone far more influential and powerful to mobilize so many rogues to comb the valleys." I said explaining the amount of effort being put into finding both me and Selia.

Having said that I looked at Trag and asked

"What you intend to do now? They saw you with us, you can no longer remain safe in Alterac" with a bit of guilt in my speech since I didn't not want to implicate this likeable and musclehead friend of ours.

"I can go with you, I have always been an explorer, I journeyed far and wide, a bit more would not hurt, just allow me to say my farewells to my friend. I still intend on returning to my new home after things get settled." he said without a worry, even if he considered the territory of Baron Valimar Mordis his new home, he had already left home to explore once, he could do so again, and he felt that the travels with the dragon couple could be exciting as well...

Afterall he was still young and full of curiosity for the world, he only settled in Alterac because of his feeling of loneliness of nothing being able to share his travels with worthy companions, which now he had before him.
