Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Slipped.

They arrived at the room, and he placed her down on the sofa, kneeling before her. Alex moved back but his hands held her leg bringing it closer to him.

"Don't move " his low calm voice said while he pulled off the unsteady heels from her feet.

One of her ankles was red with a swelling already visible. She noticed him frown will he examined the injured ankle.

"Does it hurt?" his black orbs gazed up in question.

"Not that much " she answered.

He walked to the phone and asked for some ice and came back to where she was.

"How did this happen?" he asked.

"I slipped," she said avoiding his gaze.

He sighed, "Next time be careful, it could have been worse than this "

"Mmm"

They heard the door open and Becca walk in with room service behind her.

He placed her bag down and took the ice to Nathan.

"Thank you " he answered grabbing a towel.

Alex flinched the moment the cloth touched her ankle.

"Sorry, I will be more gentle," he said

Becca moved back while watching her boss hold Alex's leg while he rubbed at her swollen ankle. She had never seen him be that soft on anyone.

After a while, he placed the ice away and examined the swelling.

"I feel a little better, thank you," Alex said trying to take her leg from his hold.

"Don't move or you will injure it more " he stopped her.

"But I have to leave now, it's getting late " he could see the anxiousness in her eyes. "I can call my sister to come to help me so I don't bother you both anymore "

"Who said you were bothering us...and I don't think your sister can help you, I saw them leave as I got your things," said Becca

"Huh?" exclaimed Alex.

"She means they left you behind " Nathan added.
