Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Embarrassed.

"What happened while I was gone?" he asked

Becca sat down, "A lot, I just realized how incredible Alex is. She's more ruthless than you when it comes to working, but also gentle when handling her co-workers," she said.

Nathan scoffed, "She has always been good in what she does that's what makes her even more special"

Becca nodded, "She fixed the overseas project that was pending with the team and then had a tour around after which she decided to hold a meeting with the sales department since she had reviewed the documents and seen some errors"

"Did they give her a hard time?" he asked.

"They love her, it's like she the female version of you, sharp, serious but pretty and gentle," she said.

Nathan chuckled, "As long as she's doing what she wants am happy"

"She sure loves doing it, all I could see was happiness as she worked with them. I guess that's why she was depressed after failing to get a new job".

"I guess so but the main reason I brought her here was to see if she could be persuaded to come work with me, I just hope it worked," he said.

"Well if I base it on what I saw today, I think she might consider it," Becca said.

.....

Alex walked out of the meeting room after she was done. They thanked her one by one as they left the room she smiled as she walked off.

"Alex" a voice called her. She was in front of the elevator. Turning she saw James.

"James," she said. He smiled walking to where she was.

"I didn't expect to see you here, but then again it's your boyfriend's company you can be here," he said.

"Mmm and you, why are you here," she asked.

"Finishing up some business with your boyfriend" he smiled still gazing at her.

"Something wrong?" she asked.

"No you're just stunning, I get why he so hang up on you," he said.

"Hmm," Alex reacted.

"Am sorry if it sounded rude and am sorry about what happened in the past. I was an arrogant bastard and hurt you" he said

Alex glanced back at him, "It's in the past so it's okay. I put it all behind me now" she said.

"I understand, thank you for forgiving me. And am happy that you found someone like him who cherishes you," he said.

"Thank you"

"Although am still wondering how you got such a cold man to open up to you. He so into you that even his company is filled with your face" He chuckled

Alex scoffed, "Please don't mention that, am still embarrassed about it"

"Why are you, his trying his best to show you how much he loves you so I think you should be happy" James looked around and chuckled, "Although it's a little bit too much if I count the number the posters in the whole building"

Alex sighed, "Those I don't mind but the huge one at the entrance is ridiculous. And he refused to remove it".

"Bear with him, we have been working with him for a while & never seen him go out of his way like this, so I think he does love you".

The doors to the elevator opened, "I will keep that in mind" she said.

"Okay, it was nice seeing you again," James said watching her walk into the elevator.

She nodded.

"Oh, and thanks for talking to Nathan about helping us. The Hurks family owes you" he said waking away.
