"Welcome to Bankori, current capital of Korriban.",Bich introduces as the city comes into full view. Stone buildings decorated with cloth, metal, and bone. With larger stone structures in the city.
"Current?", I ask.
Bich nods, "Yes, the capital tends to change depending on who is control. The ancestral capital city is Darvokai near the Valley of the Dark Lords. Nowadays, Darvokai is merely where the Dark council keep their homes. Work happens in Bankori."
"Who is in charge of your people?"
He smiles, "Well, not all my people are here. Most chose to flee to other planets like Ziost after the old war with the Rakata was won. I don't know, nor care who rules them. They're all weaklings. Who rules us, is the the current king. There is also the Dark Council, an assisting body to help run our society. I am a member of that council. My king plans to invade Ziost and other planets our shameful brethren fled too. They will fold, or they will die. Then he will be an emperor."
Wow, he really went on a little rant out of nowhere. Perhaps this species is the talkative type.
We ride the creature through the city entrance with no stopping us. Rather, any guards quickly made way for us with fear on their faces. The normal people on the street parted before us too. They looked with fear and respect. I am starting to get a handle on how this society operates.
I say, "We are heading to a large stone building. Ornate as well. Your workplace?"
He laughs, "Indeed it is. I guess it was easy for you to tell with experiencing many societies. We go to meet the Dark Council, and the King."
We ride the creature all the way to the large ornate stone building. We stop the beast in front of the steps that lead to the entrance. We dismount together.
"Follow me Hermes.", Bich says as he begins to lead me inside.
I look around and send out scans as we walk through the building. Bich twitched, but disregarded the twitch. He did not believe his instinct that I had done something since he couldn't sense it. Force sensitives can be good at sensing energy. I'm satisfied my stealth scanning still holds up to a Dark Councilor. As I did take the alignment scans, and Force energy scans of Sith we passed in the street.
Bich was much stronger than any Sith walking the city.
We reached large double doors with artistic symbols on it. Darth Bich faced me, "We will now enter the council chambers. Honestly, I expect problems as other councilors are not as amiable as I am. They have their weapon hilts up their ass most times."
"I am familiar with the type. I can handle them." I say confidently.
Bich smirks, "No doubt. Now let's enter."
Bich then opens the double doors and walks in with me behind him.
"My King, and fellow councilors. I present Hermes, Traveler, and Elder of the stars.", he announces. He made me sound pretty respectable without going overboard. He went to his previously empty seat after the announcement.
The councilors all had their own style of attire. Black, red and gold was popular among them though. The king, however, was wearing solid red armor. It covered every single part of his body. His helmet was beside him rather than on his head. The armor had sharp edges and curves, giving the rather sophisticated armor a bit of savagery.
The king spoke.
"I am King Adun, successor to Adas. Darth Bich brought you to us and even stresses your...identity. Why are you here, Hermes?"
I answer with no delay. As it is a question I've asked uncountable times.
"King Adun, I have come to Korriban partly by chance, and partly to catalogue the planet."
My answer intrigue him, "How are you here by chance?"
I explain, "I was traveling faster than light to the galaxy's core. When my journey was interrupted by ghostly entities greatly saturated in Force energy. They were faster than my speed, so I had to use a nearby black hole to bridge to a random location in space. As they were swarming and damaging my spacecraft. The black hole brought me here. Then I decided to catalogue Korriban as I was already in the system."
King Adun leans back in thought, "Your description leads me to believe you encountered a sort of Force ghost. None that I have ever encountered, and many I have encountered. The fact they were attacking and damaging your starship is concerning to me."
I say, "You may not have much to be concerned about. I have traveled many sectors of the galaxy, including this one. It was only when I entered that new sector near the galactic core that I encountered such entities. I heavily doubt they can appear in this sector of the galaxy."
King Adun grins, "Ah, you are the so called Traveler after all. Then I will heed your advisement. We will simply avoid that sector, at least for now. I have more pressing matter to attend to anyways."
"I have heard. As for cataloging your planet. I find it to be good manners to ask permission from the ruling power before roaming a planet. Do I have permission?", I ask.
Adun scoffs, "You do not have permission. This planet is our cradle, and it is sacred to us."
"I can understand that. The entire planet is heavily saturated in dark alignment Force energy. It resonates with your race too. Perhaps you would accept a trade in exchange for permission?", continue.
King Adun laughs, "We are Sith. You want free reign to examine my planet. Then defeat me in a duel."
Adun is rather arrogant. He has the capital to be though. His alignment is the darkest along with his Force Energy reading being the highest in the room. His Force energy level is even higher than the Jedi Grandmaster. I have faced powerful beings before though.
[Hermes, threat analysis completed. Chance of victory is 100%]
I state, "I accept the duel King Adun. Let's fight."
King Adun stops laughing and gives me a stern look. He grins and rises from his throne.
"You surprise me Hermes, pleasantly surprise. Don't you dare regret this."
