Chapter 23: Fortune In Disguise (1)

Roar!

The Roar of the five meter Fire Lion resounded throughout the forest that even scared the nearby Demon Kings.

'Shush'

With a swift move, the Beast attacks using its sharp claws.

Boom!

Shu Feng reacted late and got blasted away by the beast including Kei who was also sent flying due to the after shock albeit it was not him who receive the direct attack.

The reason why the Beast attack Shu Feng first was due to it's instinct. It feels like Shu Feng was more threathenning than the other one so it decided to eliminate him first.

It was obvious that he didn't felt threatened to Kei since Shu Feng hides his Ancient Dragon's aura or else the Lion would surely kill and devour Kei in an instant due to his bloodline that will make it stronger.

Shu Feng directly ate the Berserker Pill that he almost spat out due to the attack. He estimated that he could at least manage to evade the attack but he underestimated a strength of a Spiritual Beast.

When Shu Feng was sent flying, Tmthe Fire Lion directly vanish and appeared beside Kei while raising it's gigantic paw that was enough to squash Kei into mince meat, attempting to kill him in a single strike.

Kei was still dumbstruck at the scene of his Big Brother being sent flying. But when he sense his something threathening beside him, he cannot help but break the Energy enveloping him thus fully revealing his Ancient Celestial Dragon's Aura.

Previously when he was fighting, he didn't need to reveal his aura since he find it bothersome and he didn't need it to deal with them before.

But since he was currently facing a life threatening situation, he releases his aura suddenly out of instinct that startled the Fire Lion for a moment.

Kei used that moment to evade the attack totally escaping with his life. But it only took a moment before the Fire Lion realize his mistake. It felt humilated that a puny ant manage to escape from his grasp.

Even right now, the beast was still fearful about the aura that Kei emmited a while ago.

Roar!

It roared in anger and charges again towards Kei in a much more alarming speed. Fire was enveloping it's whole body and cracks could be seen at the ground he was in previously.

The Beast wanted to kill Kei and devour it due to hia unique aura that manage to threathen it. That only means that there is something beneficial if he manage to devour the human.

Boom!

The Fire Lion was sent flying!

That's right! It was sent flying backwards like it was a light directly hitting a mirror.

Shu Feng was alarmed when he saw the Beast raising it's paw to squash Kei to death. He tried to reach him but he knows that he cannot reach Kei in time.

He sped towards him hoping that he would not die after that single attack. Luckily, Kei released his aura instinctively that even manage to startle the Beast for a moment.

But that single moment was already enough for Kei to escape and for Shu Feng to arrive beside him. When he detects the Beast's desire to kill Kei, he was not worried since he was already in front of Kei.

The Beast cannot believe what is happening, he was sent flying by a ant? But before the Beast could roar again and vent it's anger, a shadow suddenly appeared in front of it while he was still in the air.

Shu Feng didn't idle after he manage to repel the Beast and flash towards it in instant. He reinforce his Feet with his Chaos Energy making his boosted strength become more powerful.

While mid air, Shu Feng perform a front flip and manage to kick the belly of the beast with the back of his feet.

Boom!

The Beast drop down to the ground while scattering the dust after creating a massive ten meters wide crater.

Inside the dust, the Beast suddenly felt it's scalp tingle and wanted to defend for the coming crisis.

Shu Feng flash and entered the dust where the Beast fell. He leap with a alarming speed that a Foundation Building Cultivator didn't posses and gaining momentum.

He align his five fingers lile a fork and reinforce it with all of his Chaos Energy making his hand glow in a golden light. He soon appeared in front of the Fire Lion and launch his final attack.

'Puchi'

Before the Beast could react or defend, a hand pierce it's heart directly killing it on the spot, Shu Feng pulled back his hand.

The golden light covering it was slowly dimming. Blood was continuously dripping from his hand, but he didn't pay any attention to it.

'Just a little bit more.' Feng thought while gritting his teeth. And with a last pierce, Shu Feng grab the Spiritual Core of the Beast and put it inside his Item Space.

'Thud'

After finishing the battle, Shu Feng immidiately fell on the ground with the last bit of his strength fading away. Blood could be seen coming out of his nose ane cracks could be seen all over his body and face that was dripping with red liquid.

He force himself after all. Cause of the urgence of the situation, he didn't bother to care about the description and effects of the Berserker Pill.

Theres a reason why the Berserker Pill was very expensive, it was because only those at the Nascent Soul could bear the side effect of the Pill.

Berserker Pill, as it's name suggested, it was a pill that will greatly boost one's strength in a designated time. Although it was only at the Spirit Rank, the items that UG sells were all high quality.

And base on the pill that UG sold to Shu Feng, it has a side effect that the body would weaken after it is used if the cultivator was at the First Stage Nascent Soul Realm. Cultivator at the Nineth Stage Core Formation would suffer a backlash. Eighth Stage Core Formation would be crippled. Seventh Stage Core Formation would die. Sixth Stage Core Formation and below would explode immidiately just as the Pill would take effect.

That was the reason why Shu Feng was in the rush to finish the Beast off. He can only used the pill's effect for about five breaths at most, and more than that would make his body explode.

It was impossibly unbelievable that a mere Fourth Stage Foundation Building Realm could survive the effect of the pill while a Seventh Stage Core Formation would die!

As soon as the dust settled, Kei saw his Big Brother lying on the ground looking horrible. He immidiately run towards him and picks him up, fearing that if he delayed any more second would get them in a much more dire situation.

While walking away, Kei was carrying Shu Feng on his back and made his way towards the nearby cave that they discovered few days ago, which is relatively safe sinve there is no Beast living there.

Roar!

After getting far away, some growls and terryfying roars could be heard from the place where the fight happened. Luckily, Kei immidiately retreated and manage to avoid those beast.

Although he could still fight, he could not guarantee his Big Brother's safety while being occupied in the fight. What if some beast manage to sneak on Shu Feng while he was fighting, then that would be the end.

And looking at Shu Feng's condition, it was obvious that even the weakest beast could kill him. So Kei did not want to take the risk.

Soon, after few minutes of careful retreat, Kei immidiately sighted a cave a hundred meters away from him. He quickly made his way while making sure that Shu Feng was not getting any additional damage from his running.

Kei sealed the entrance of the cave with a gigantic stone nearby and lighting up a fire using his Energy. Shu Feng was lying on the ground that was covered in Kei's robe just to make sure that he won't feel cold.

Kei was looking nervously at Shu Feng while gritting his teeth in guilt. If maybe he was stronger then this would not have happened. He keep thinking while secretly praying that Shu Feng would heal soon. He was after all his last and only family that he considered.

Night came and Kei was already sleeping beside Shu Feng while being naked. Both of them were naked! But only their upper body was. But since they were both guys then it was only alright, but I think some girls would surely think different. Seeing two handsome and good figured guys while being half naked sleeping together will surely make their mind run wild.

Shu Feng and Kei was sleeping soundlessly when a notification sounded inside Shu Feng's mind.

Looking at his condition, it was known that death was the only thing awaits him. Because the first that system checks on his condition, it only showed Severe Blood Loss. And right now it was 'very severe'.

Shu Feng's body was slowly recovering from its severe injury. All the cracks on his face was gradually fading away and restoring his jade-like and smooth skin.

Soon, his breathing finally become stable and everything finally returned to normal.

Morning came, and the light was seeping through the small hole between the entrance of the cave that was sealed by the gigantic stone.

Shu Feng was the first to wake up, he looked around and saw the naked Kei beside him that was still snoring merrily.

Shu Feng wanted to get up but suddenly felt his whole body stiffed and sore. But the most aching part was his back.

Shu Feng suddenly freeze at that moment. A memory was flashing in his mind. It was the memory during his life in the previous world.

In that memory, he could hear moan and crying voice of one of the male slaves that got captured together with him in another room. It was his first time hearing it but some slaves are already used to it.

When he ask what they are doing to him, a boy beside him looks at him in a weird way but still explained it while being terrified. After hearing his exolanation, Shu Feng also felt terrified deep down.

'Your back will become sore.' That was the most thing he could remember.

The reason why Shu Feng was so ignorant about those kind of things was because he was raised in a orphanage and going out was limited for them.

So starting that day, he become terrified when he saw someone holding their back like it was hurting and will immidiately run away.

Heck! He even saw a grandpa holding his back in pain and ask for his help but Shu Feng just runs away in a flusterred expression.

'I am sorry grandpa, I didn't think that you would experience a terrible thing even when your already old.' That is what Shu Feng was thinking back then.

And looking at Kei and himself being half naked while his back was sore, then that would only mean one thing.

He was violated!

He wanted to commit suicide right now but he can't move his body.

He felt like crying but not tears was coming out.

"I didn't think that Kei would take advantage of me while I am defenseless, you can really never judge a book by it's cover." Shu Feng mumbled to himself while feeling gloomy.

During his wild thinking, Kei slowly opened his eyes and slowly got up. Looking at the standing Kei, Shu Feng felt his scalp tingle.

Kei look around and saw his Big Brother already healed and looking at him. He immidiately felt wonderful and flashed a smile while holding himself back from crying.

But when Shu Feng saw that smile, he saw a demon with two horns that is looking at him mischievously.

Kei immidiately went and hug his Big Brother in joy and cannot help but burst in tears. Looking at his Little Brother sudeenly coming towards him, he wanted to resist but when he saw him crying, he cannot help but pat his head while still lying down.

"I thought you would be gone, Big Brother." Kei blurted out while crying in his embrace.

"Calm down Kei, I would not die that easily." Shu Feng said while trying to comfort him.

'Heck! Let go, you are killing me you know?' Shu Feng screamed inside him. After a few moments, Kei already calmed down and explained everything that happened after he passed out and even the part on how Kei become half naked.

After hearing that he used his own robe and teared it for him to have a bed sheet gradually disperse all the misunderstanding in his mind.

"How did you recover so fast, Big Brother?" Kei suddenly asked out of curiosity.

"Hmm, it was actually a secret technique that is onky suitable for me." Shu Feng said while only half of it was true.

Although it was not a secret technique, he knows that this kind of ability was only for him since he has UG.

"Woah! Incredible." Kei said in astonishment. He didn't feel any envy nor longing for that secret technique. He was a Ancient Celestial Dragon after all so he has his own dignity and pride that was running through his blood.
