The darkness grew more and more... I couldn't see anything anymore. I couldn't even feel my body, I tried to move but I couldn't. Then I felt someone's warm hands on my chest and all of a sudden the darkness faded away. I looked around, I wasn't in the dungeon anymore, I was in some kind of garden. There was a soothing atmosphere around me. The sun was shining bright there were rabbits and squirrels jumping around the garden, some deer-like animals were busy grazing the grass. There was a pagoda in the middle of the garden, someone was standing there, I felt like that person would be able to answer my question so I went ahead into the pagoda, but before I could take a step forward, the person standing in the pagoda had turn into an orb of light, a muffled burst sound could be heard in the clouds. The light orb flew up towards the sky and landed in front of me like a comet, I looked that a glorious being with eyes like bright orbs of light standing in front of me. She looked at me directly in the eyes, and an incredibly sense of euphoria took hold of me. The being had two slim wings like clouds which made the being look far more imposing. Her lean, but muscular body glided in a careful manner and was clad in white armor, the armour seemed familiar just like the one the dungeon master was wearing. The being in front of me held a sword in one hand, and a gentle, humming sound could be heard from it. As she turned her gaze towards me once again, and I saw a calming and welcoming smile. A halo suddenly flares brightly above her head, before disappearing into thin air.
"I've been waiting for you." She said with smile, "You've had a hard life and I'm sorry for making you go through all that."
"Who are you? And what is this place?" I asked.
"You're really just like him... filled with curiosity. And as for your questions, I'm Adelphi, the supreme being and creator of the universe. And this," She said pointing around the garden, "is the Garden of God, or you can call it the Garden of Eden."
"Wait you mean you're the 'God'?"
"You can call me that." She smiled again.
"And why have you brought me here? Is it because I died again?"
"I brought you here to tell you a story, the story about the universe and to answer the questions you've been wondering about." Adelphi said. "But before that tell me something, what do you think existed before the universe was formed?"
"Nothing?" I answered.
"Your kind of right. There was nothing yet there were beings known as the Precursors and the Demons." Adelphi said, "Both Precursors and Demons were sworn brethren, even so they both had different views about making an ideal universe of their own. While Precursors wanted to make a universe which was full of life, happiness and equality. The Demons wanted a universe were powerful ruled over the weak, a place where being weak would be tormented and powerful would enjoy. Due to this, both Precursors and Demons decided to make separate universes. But as you can guess... conflicts still happened and soon an all out war began between the two, a way that lasted for billions of years. And ended with a peace between the two, when Xorzorud and I became their leaders. But a few had problem with this and revolted against us but with a joint army of Precursors and Demons, they were quickly silenced and banished from their respective realms. It turned out to be a huge mistake.
"Both Xorzorud and I, thought if we banish them then it would all be over, but what we didn't consider was the ways they would retaliate. Xephirous, the fallen angel you fought in the dungeon was the main instigator of the revolt, wasn't done yet. After being banished from our realm he swore he would take his revenge on us by destroying the place both Demons and Precursors loved equally..."
"Earth." I said.
"Exactly. He we wanted to blast through your planet and destroy it altogether. But Xorzorud got a whiff of his plan he immediately acted on it and encased Xephirous with a substance, which you mortals call Phoenix stone, to reduce the damage when Xephirous collided with your planet . But it was too late and when Xephirous collided with your planet, nearly everything got wiped out."
"But why are you telling me this? i don't know whether you know it or not I've already killed a God, and what I don't understand is, why would you a 'God', is even trying to help me in the first place?"
"The being you killed wasn't a God. It was merely a manifestation of one, who technically was just a demon who was granted the powers of the precursors from Xephirous. Simply said that being was turned into a God by Xephirous."
"Okay I got it now but how come Xorzorud was inside me. I mean if he is the Demon king then why didn't he simply kill Xephirous himself?"
"You don't get it yet do you? You are Xorzorud, and Xorzorud is you. Neither Demons nor Precursors can step foot on any of our creations. It was made so that no superior being could go and rule over or destroy any planets. But as you can see, once someone is banished those rules aren't applicable to him or her. We didn't knew this but somehow Xephirous used this loophole and went to Earth."
"Then why don't you banish some more of your people and deal with it?" I asked again.
"It's because that loophole doesn't exist anymore. I feared that other banished beings would too join forces with Xephirous after hearing about it. And thus we had to fix it but in panic we forgot about dealing with Xephirous altogether." Adelphi carefully explained.
"But shouldn't it have fixed the problem?"
"We thought so too. But we were late again and Xephirous became something that was neither a Precursor nor a Demon. He became a Demon God. And hence the rules that bound us aren't applied to him. And that's the reason Xorzorud is-"
"Inside me. So that I can defeat Xephirous."
"But you're not strong enough. Not yet anyway. Your body was too fragile and couldn't handle his powers."
"And that's why Xorzorud didn't came out to help me this time."
Adelphi simply nodded.
"What can I do now?" I asked, maybe Adelphi could help me out with this.
"Nothing-"
"Wait, you mean I'm actually dead?"
"No but-"
"So I'm not dead?"
"It depends on you, whether you want to stay here in this beautiful garden where nothing would ever harm you again, as a gift from me and forget about your world, or go back into your world and fight Xephiros again."
I had only one thing on my mind, to somehow defeat Xephirous.
"Send me back." I said.
"I knew you'd say that. But fighting an enemy unprepared was an act of foolishness." Adelphi said and handed me her sword. "And don't forget to take them with you."
Adelphi pointed at something behind me I turned around and all my summons were there but there was something else as well.
