CHAPTER 11: LARSON FAMILY

".....Ummm, ok, okay, I get it. I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from my spouse... Yes, please, and thank you very much."

A scarlet overflowing dress that swept the floor, diamonds gleaming on the person, and expensive taste in furniture were all enough to demonstrate how wealthy the person on the phone was.

She exited the other living room, where she had been, and strolled neatly to the sitting area.

After a short walk that was not boring because the walls were adorned with many pricey paintings that were hung there.

Flower pots with pricey flowers and plants in various areas of the rooms made the entire house look brighter and homier.

“Hey!!!!!!!!! Give me my phone right now!" cried a teenage girl wearing a short jumpsuit at the younger lad who was attempting to flee from her.

The lady in red simply shook her head helplessly as she observed this familiar act that these two enjoyed performing every now and again.

"Catch me if you can!" exclaimed the younger lad as he continued running.

When the teen saw the lady in red, her eyes brightened and she ran towards her before affectionately grabbing her hand and saying, "Mommy, your son is at it again!"

"Why did you give him your phone in the first place?" questioned the mother in red, pinching her daughter's face.

"I didn't give it to him," the small girl whined, puffing up her cheeks, “he just grabbed it!"

The mother in red stared at her son, who was foolishly beaming, and felt a headache coming on, "Felix, give your sister back her phone."

"I am not doing that!" Felix refused his mother by sticking out his tongue.

The lady in red anticipated this, so she simply grinned sweetly and tapped on her phone while the other hand was being held by her daughter.

When Felix noticed this familiar movement, he panicked and said to his mother, "ha ha ha, Milli, you can get your phone. I was only kidding with you!"

Milli stared at her mischievous brother and smiled triumphantly at him, but she said nothing.

Felix realized he was about to bleed again, so he begged his elder sister and said, "I will do one... no, two things for you. Please and thank you!"

When Milli heard this, she chose to take the bargain instead of making things tough for Felix by allowing her mother to care for the youngest.

It wasn't every day that Felix was so generous. So, she turned to her mother, who was waiting for them to finish their talks, and said, "Mommy, I think he has repented and will not do it again. Let us settle this between us."

The lady in red smiled as she saw that the problem had been resolved and looked at her son sternly, "Felix, it's very disrespectful to snatch things that don't belong to you. You have yours, so don't go around stealing from your sisters or brothers. Do you hear what I'm saying?"

Felix didn't like being corrected, but he was in the wrong, so he clasped his hands and listened intently, "Yes, Mommy. I'm not going to do that again!"

After that, the two children left the sitting room to conclude their negotiations, while the lady in red sat down and turned on the television.

As she stood there watching, an elderly man entered the room and respectfully bowed to her, saying, "Madam!"

"What is it, Grandpa John?" the lady in red asked, turning her head to gaze at the elderly man.

"Sir's PA just called to tell me that Sir will not be returning tonight, so don't leave his share behind!" Grandpa John passed the message miserably, not daring to look at the lady of the house.

The lady in red didn't react for a while before heaving a sigh and saying to Grandpa John, the house butler, "Okay. Thank you for your trouble."

Hearing this, the butler heaved with relief; after all, who wouldn't burst out laughing at such news?

"You can go and prepare for supper, the eldest miss will be returning to the mansion tonight," the lady in red told the butler.

The butler's expression altered, and he smiled, all worries gone, and said enthusiastically, "Sure, Madam. I'll have some of the eldest Miss's favorite things prepared in the kitchen."

"Sure, and don't mess up!" advised the lady in red.

The butler left the Madam, who was clearly not in a good mood given how frightening she looked now compared to when she was speaking with her children.

When the butler left, she quickly picked up her phone again, dialed speed and a call was placed.

After three rings, the call was answered, and the lady on the other end of the line was given the simple command, "Find who she is?" before hanging up.

'Huhh, does he think I'm a pushover? So, what if he has several mistresses outside? I'll track them all down and make sure none of them survive, and even if he does, it won't be linked back to me!'

'I've made too many sacrifices to reach where I am now, and I'm not going to let any hussy take it away from me. Larson's family is mine, and I will deal with anyone who gets in my way!'

The maids were hard at work, and some of them even passed by the sitting room where the lady in red was sitting.

With so many ideas racing through her mind, none of the staff noticed as a lovely grin appeared on her face, displaying the madam that they all knew.

She was always patient, compassionate, caring, and, most importantly, generous.

So how did she come up with such terrifying ideas?

The lady in red resumed watching TV alone before the kids joined her to watch together and peacefully, like a family, the lady in red didn't even look like a wife whose husband wouldn't arrive at all.

A loud voice interrupted the mother and children's enjoyment an hour later.

"Guys, your sister is home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
