“ How was dinner? “ Luke asked, wiping his mouth with a clean cloth. Amy, who scolded Luke for ordering ‘too much food’, shamelessly finished everything that was served for them that night.

Food comes first, having dignity doesn’t make you full. Take note of that ladies.

“ I loved today’s dinner. Indeed, you ordered everything from my favorite food. “ Amy said, clapping her hands which made Luke smile to himself.

“ We still have dessert, so while waiting for that, let’s talk about things. “ Luke said, which automatically made Amy nervous. But she didn’t show any surprised reaction and just played along.

“ Let’s play a simple game. Each of us gets to ask a question and the other one answers. We only get to ask one question for each turn. Understood? “ Luke explained to Amy the game, while Amy nodded. She could sense that something might possibly go wrong but ignored the feeling as she thought that it was just for fun.

“ Let me go first. My question is, did you enjoy our dinner? “ Luke asked. Amy thought to herself for a moment.

“ Honestly, I thought it was going to be a dreadful dinner session but it seems like I really enjoyed our dinner today. You were such a good person who put into consideration my preferences just to make sure I was able to enjoy today’s dinner. So, thank you very much, Luke. “ Luke was satisfied with Amy’s answer as it was super specific and well-elaborated.

“ Now, it's my turn. Luke, you shall answer this honestly. Why did you plan this dinner? “ Amy asked. Honestly, she is not ready for the possible answers but also wanted to really know what was Luke’s thought process regarding this matter.

“ Well, I like you. Not as a friend, but man to woman. “ Luke paused, to get Amy’s reaction. She seemed relaxed, but only God knows how her heart was racing at that moment. In fact, at that very moment, Amy felt like going home because she wasn’t ready for further confession.

She never thought that Luke would be so straight-forward about this matter if he ever liked Amy?!!

“ But no worries, after knowing that you are not looking forward to any proposal now – I have decided to give it some time. Perhaps, as time goes by, as we know each other deeply, I might be able to be more confident with my feelings. And if so, I will make sure to let you know about my feelings. So, this dinner should actually be a proposal dinner but it seems even better as just a two-best friends’ dinner night. “ Luke smiled, noticing that Amy seemed even more relaxed now that she heard his answer.

“ Amy, if I may ask, why are you not looking forward to any proposal right now? Do you not want to be in a relationship? “ Luke asked. Again, Amy thought about it carefully as she didn’t want to overshare anything besides being hurtful.

She learned her lesson about sharing a little too much.

“ First of all, I’m not really looking forward to being in a relationship as I want to prioritize myself in every little thing. I am thankful that you didn’t make me feel awkward by proposing to me even after I have told you that I’m not looking forward to any proposal right now, that’s very thoughtful of you because some people really don’t understand. And, we just knew each other for a few months now. The idea of being in a relationship with someone you just met is a little crazy for me. We might never know what the future holds for us but for now, I honestly think we are just good as we are. “ Amy smiled at Luke, knowing that her answer might be a hurtful truth.

“ Okay, my turn hehe. Why did you choose me of all people? “ wow, what a confident question. Amy felt like she’s being so confident at that moment, but the question was sincere. Luke himself said that he planned this whole dinner to propose to Amy so it is not too much if she asks that question, right?

“ Many reasons, honestly. Perhaps it’s because I liked you because of the way you look at things. Like just now, you explained things to me in a manner that made me completely understand and realized that you have a whole different and unique perspective on things. “ Luke paused, giving himself some time to think of the reasons.

“ Thinking about it, I don’t really have a reason why I liked you out of all people. Maybe because it’s you? “ Luke ended his answer with a question which Amy can ponder on. And Amy didn’t like that, she wanted to know the exact reason.

But perhaps, Luke’s answer was more than enough. Luke didn’t have any specific reason to like Amy which means that Luke did not love her for anything variable over time but Luke liked her for who she is.

Which is sincere love. Is Amy being delusional?

Maybe.

“ Okay, this is my last question. Will you ever give us a chance? “ Luke asked, which absolutely surprised Amy.

So, he is still hopeful towards her.

“ I don’t want to sound silly, but we never know the secrets of tomorrow. For now, I only see you as a friend sent from Heaven because you are literally so nice and gentleman. I’m not sure if I might ever like you in the future. And if I ever want to try, would you still accept me? “ what if by the time Amy falls in love with Luke, he has already moved on from her? What if this was all just a false feeling since they have been spending quite a lot of time together?

Amy had a lot of what ifs questions which almost made her head explode.

“ This would be my answer. If you are ready to try, I will always make sure that my heart is only yours. "
