Twilight in Obsidian

“Please take me with you,” the woman whispered. Her voice was dry and hoarse, her body trembled like a leaf on an unsettled wave. Was it because of the crime she had just committed, or was it because of the aura the man before her gave off? She must be sick, both in and out of the head. Everything in her said not to ask for help, or at least not to ask him for help, nevertheless, here she was bowing her head down before him. “Now, why would I do that?” His dark, airy voice filled her ears. His voice sent shivers down her spine, making her freeze in her spot. Her head sank to the floor, unmoving. “I do anything from cleaning to washing, and cooking,” she said, muttering her words, timidly. The man hunched down to her size and uttered, his breath tickling her neck. “Have you met me before?” “No, but I can—” She began to say, as if he were contemplating her request but was quickly interrupted. “Don't be so quick to sell yourself to death.” Passing through her, he left her to crumble on the ground. °∆° "Did you think I would let you go after I found you? Do you know how long I have waited for this moment?” His voice deepened with each word that fell off his lips. The woman stepped back, not wanting to get close to this terrifying man. “I am being truthful, Your Highness. I don't know you, Your Majesty, our families haven't met for any reason. So please let me go,” she whispered. Her body touched the wall. Now she was stuck between the wall and the terrifying man. “Please, My Lord, I don't know what you are talking about,” She whimpered. He placed his strong hands on her hip, giving it a light squeeze as he pulled her closer to his chest. He whispered into her ears, “I missed you so much, it's been a long while, My love” He placed his head on hers °∆° R18 PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOK COVER ISN'T MINE, IT WAS FOUND AND REDESIGNED BY ME. ~Chapter 11~

The throne hall is a colossal chamber, Its walls constructed of immense stone blocks that have withstood battles and wars alike. High, vaulted ceilings reach skyward, supported by massive columns adorned with intricate, hand-carved designs picture mystical creatures. Sunlight streams in through tall, narrow windows, casting long, dramatic shadows on the stone floor.

At the far end of the hall, atop a raised dais, sits the imposing throne. Its base carved from obsidian, a deep glossy black that seems to absorb the surrounding light. It rests upon clawed feet that grip the ground with an almost living determination.

The seat itself is a marvel to behold. Forged from enchanted metal, it appears to be a molten river of liquid fire frozen in time. The vibrant, ever-shifting hues of orange, red, and gold danced upon its surface, casting a warm flickering radiance.

At the back of the throne, a towering backrest rises, shaped like a pair of colossal wings made of pure flame. These fiery wings stretch high above the seat, as if embracing the ruler in a fiery embrace.

It looked both beautiful and fearsome, a symbol of the king's connection to it. The throne was called The Flame throne. It is said that only the destined king can seat on it, or else, whosoever that isn't the destined king, that sits on it will be engulfed by the pair of flaming wings.

The mood was heavily damped in the throne hall as the three men sat in a triangle shape. They had weary and gloomy mood.

"Do you understand what you are saying right now, Orion?" Lucian asked with a very low and menacing voice. They were going to do nothing?

"Jinx is on the loose, and you say we do nothing?!!!" He yelled, slamming his on the arm rest of his chair.

Nash sat by the other edge of the room as he watched his brothers argue on the current problem. He wanted rest. He had not being getting much of it lately, and he didn't know how to solve it.

To be honest, Nash's loss of sleep was way more important to him than Jinx coming back. But as it seems, his brothers would probably end his life if he uttered his thought out loud.

Orion sat proudly on his throne. His left leg bent on the throne chair, while the right fell loosely to the ground. He bent his head to the side as he gave his brother a loose attention. His eyes trailed loosely towards Nash.

"What do you think Nash? Since you have being awkwardly quiet, I am sure you have done lots of thinking" Nash inwardly groaned at his question.

Thinking? Nash didn't give a damn about it, well not at the moment though. He was losing sleep, and he didn't like it, Jinx wasn't his problem now.

"We need to inform them about it first" He answered dryly

"That is not the answer to my question, of course we would inform them about it, it clearly can't be hidden. But what I am asking is do we attack Jinx or do we leave it" He squinted his eyes at his brother.

Orion knew something was up with his brother and he was going to find out what.

Nash avoided his piercing gaze. He didn't like this about his brother, he was too observant, sometimes it was a good thing, but at the moment, it was getting on his nerves.

Leaning forward, he placed his hands on his chin, "Nash, what is going on with you?"

Lucian furrowed his brows as he turned his attention to his other brother.

"Is something wrong with you?" He asked, his voice firm with worry.

Nash sighed inwardly, now Lucian was worried. It was already bothersome with just Orion, but now Lucian too?

"It is nothing, just haven't being getting much sleep, that's all" He said. The way he worded it, like it wasn't such a big deal. But they could see he was very much distraught about it.

Adding on to his statement, he said to ease their worries, "No bother too much about it, a simple sleeping drug would fix it."

The two men looked at him for a while, but he just avoided their gaze. He really didn't want their attention or concern, well just at the moment, but for now, he really didn't need their concern.

"Why don't we continue our concern about Jinx and find out who released it?" He asked, drawing their attention back to the main issue at hand. Sighing at his brothers' antics, Orion rubbed the side of his temple.

"I don't know who to concern myself with" Orion spoke after several minutes of silence.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Lucian asked, sitting back on his chair.

"Who is as strong as us that can release jinx?"

"Positive, The only people that are powerful enough are Gods and the Aswinesian women." Nash spoke softly, he was trying really hard not to show his sleepy disposition.

"And they are dead, the Aswinesian women I mean" Orion whispered as if he didn't want it to be heard by the other two men.

"Claire was the last one, wasn't she?" Nash asked, lifting his sleeping gaze to his brothers.

"She was stubborn and very strong headed"

"But powerful" Lucian responded to Orion's statement, which the latter agreed to.

"That means the person is stronger than the two options, which isn't possible because who is stronger than a god. So who the hell released Jinx, goddammit!!"

The throne hall went silent, since none of them had the answer to his question, "Let's just gather around and discuss this with them" Nash offered standing from his chair.

He was all set and ready to go, he really wasn't going to wait around anymore. He was tired and already feeling dizzy. Not only that, but he wasn't about to drag this conversation any longer than necessary.

"Are you really Alright?!" Orion demanded this time. Nash took two steps forward, before stumbling.

His eyes were hazy.

He calmly touched his head, trying to steady himself. Seeing his abrupt change in demeanor, Orion and Lucian rushed to his side.

Orion was quick to grab the back of his cloth, while Lucian placed himself in front of him as he landed on his broad chest.

Blood had steeped out from his ears and corners of his lips, "Nash?!" The two brothers called out.

"Could you explain more on Entropy Sorcery?" Yeona asked. The women had moved to the sitting room to continue the conversation.

"Entropy on its own means the disorder and instability, if you then mix Entropy with the word sorcery, you get the disorder Sorcery brings to mankind."

"Sorcery on its own is a bizarre thing, that feels unreal, therefore it causes a heavy unbalance, especially if the sorcerer misuses it"

Yeona listened attentively to her words, she absorbed the knowledge that was given to her. Sereia sat beside Yeona, she was halfheartedly was paying attention to what her mother was saying.

She had heard it before, so it didn't matter much to her either way.

"Entropy Sorcery is the manipulation of life and death its self" Gwen informed, she twirled her hands in air and an icy cold wind came to be. And soon the room became chilly.

"A sorcerer can only use one of either the -Kinesis or -Mancy and a basic form of entropy. Take for example, Sereia can manipulate the waters or preferably speaking, she can manipulate any and all liquid".

"Same goes with me, I can turn anything to ice, either land, air or anything in particular, it turns to ice under my control".

"Then there are the basic sorcery such as mildly moving objects, forcing locked doors opened, fixing broken wine glass. But in order to use spells".

"You don't use spells for your ice and water spells?" Yeona inquired.

"Nope, But I tell you, learning spells are a pain in the ass" Sereia stated waving a book across her face.

"There are many more -kinesis and -mancy, earth, fire, air, lava, necromancy, Aeromancy, there are many more from the top of my head. The more a sorcerer learn to enhance it Entropy, the stronger they get and that's what make them transcend to a god".

"Can a -Kinesis sorcerer use -Mancy?"

"No. Even though I use Cryokinesis, I can not use hydro-kinesis or any other Kinesis".

"My, My. This is some information" Yeona said with glee, "So, what entropy Sorcery do I have?" The sitting room went silent.

"It can't be said immediately, it is really a surprise that you haven't awakened your powers" Gwen moved closer to Yen's face.

Like daughter, like mother. They really love invading personal space.

"What exactly did your mother do to you?"
