Immortal child

Simon left Marcus after discussing their strategy to deal with Aro. Simon was more relaxed now that there were others who were dissatisfied with the current Volturi and wanted it to change. One thing that was agreed upon was that no outside would be taken since it could cripple their rule in the future.

As he was going back to his house he met Jane in the way.

"I was looking for you. Aro has summoned us, let's go."

Simon only nodded and followed behind her until they reached the chambers.

Simon was surprised to see Irina standing there. She was a member of Denali coven he had come across during his travels. She along with her two sisters had been responsible for the human legend of the succubus: a female demon who seduces her prey before draining them of life. Eventually, the pain and guilt of these losses became unbearable for them: there were some men that they grew attached to, which made it painful for them when they died at their hands. The Denali sisters then lived a vegetarian lifestyle to avoid slaughtering the men that they grew fond of and yet maintain intimacy with them.

Aro was looking pleased as if his wish had come true.

"Now that we are all here, let's start. Our guest Irina here brings us the news of an immortal child being created."

All the guards present looked shocked, they couldn't believe that someone was stupid enough to do so. Creating immortal children has long been outlawed by the Volturi due to their inability to remain concealed from the human world. There was no absolute age limit set as to what constituted an immortal child; it was a subjective definition, based on the child's ability to behave himself in a way consistent with vampire law.

"Irina, my dear please tell us what you witnessed."

Irina looked at the guards fearfully and started, "I was on her way to make peace with the Cullens after having a fall out with them. Near their territory I spotted Bella and a little girl hunting from a distance. The moment I saw girl, I believed that she was an immortal child created by the Cullens. Knowing that creating an immortal child is an illegal action, I ran to tell the Volturi of their crime."

Aro swiped his eyes over Simon to see his reaction but Simon was maintaining a neutral expression.

Inwardly, Simon was freaking out and cursing the Cullen's. What the hell is wrong with them creating an immortal child. Their previous crimes had yet to be forgotten but instead of laying low after revealing themselves to a human they went on and created an even larger problem.

"Now that you all have heard what is happening and how severe the crime is we will all depart immediately. So start your preparations to make the journey towards the Cullens and execute the people responsible for the crime." Aro said as he stood up indicating the end of the meeting.

As the guards were moving out Aro moved towards Irina and said, "you have done well my dear. Your mother was foolish that she had created an immortal child but you are brave and smart. However if we become aware that you are lying to us your end will not be pretty."

The Volturi set out in the direction of Cullen's. This was the largest group Volturi had formed inorder to do something in a very long time. Even Aro's and Ciaus's mate had been called out from their room.

They came in front of the Cullens who were standing with other vampires, most probably their allies and shape shifters, presumably the Quileutes.

Simon scanned over the Culllens he was happy to see that neither Jasper nor Alice were present with them. He hoped that they didn't want to get involved and had escaped from there.

All of the Volturi were watching a child standing in between Bella and Edward. It was obvious that she was too young to be in control of her own desires, everyone seemed to be on the edge the fight could start at any moment.
