Chapter 5

Erika POV

As days went by,I become a little bit familiar with my surroundings,it turns out to be some young men drinking beer,some stayed in they're tents all night long... Enjoying their lives like it's the end of the world.Including me.

Everything is all good,because I spent all my entire time sleeping in my own small tent.

One night,out of a sudden I heard a man shouting."All get out!The captain pilot is here!"

Then suddenly I heard a deep cold voice;

"No need to get everyone out!It's been 2 months since the last entrance exam.All those here are the ones who have failed it.And those who are new."

Hearing this,I was surprised so out of curiosity I got out from my tent and went towards the man who was speaking.

Wanting to see what was happening,I got out of my tent.Then I saw hundreds of men gathered surrounding the man that spoke.I tried to sneak infront yet was pushed back from the crowd.

"What the hell is happening here?"Erika asked while rubbing her aching back.

"Don't you know?The entrance exam is finally starting!"A young man beside her exclaimed,his eyes showing excitement.

"Entrance exam?For what?!"

The man looked at Erika suspiciously and raised an eyebrow."Don't you know it yourself?Were going to have an entrance exam for the Shadow Academy."

Erika shrugged."I didn't know.I'm new here."

The man shook his head in dissapointment.

Seeing the young man's reaction Erika shrug her shoulders in confusion.

Then the man who spoke continued,"Some of you already know me.My name's Dominique,the pilot who will drive you all the way to the entrance exam 'safely'."Dominique licked his lower lips mentioning the word 'safely'.Mean while some people started to shudder including the young man beside me.

The man beside patted my shoulder with pity shown in his eyes."Little brother,I pity you."

I raised one of my eyebrow in suspicion."Why?"

The man shook his head and shut his mouth."I can't tell you.It's against the rules."He whispered.

I glared at him,"Stop kidding!He said he will drive us 'safely'."

The young man sighed,"Safe...Indeed"For a second he strated to tremble.As if he recalled something terrible?

"Seriously what is wrong with people nowadays?"Erika mutered.

Dominique flicked her fingers like he kinda remembered something."Right!This year is a bit different...That means..."He glanced at all the youngsters and grinned michievously."Heh!"

His grin again managed to somehow send everyone to shudder.Erika was clueless and saw that everyone was shivering, and the unknown fear made her shiver.

"Seriously why is everyone shuddering"(Including me)

He clapped his hands once.And said with a loud voice that contains a trace of excitement."The flight will start very,very soon."In a split of a second.He left.

To the persons that failed once had a burning desire clearly shown in they're eyes.

"Judging by the Dominique's reaction.I feel like this year is going to be extremely different.How exciting!"A man exclaimed to his friend.

His friend nodded while grinning,"Last year he never showed a hint of excitement.I think something special is going to happen."

I heard they're conversations and everyone did.

Then the atmosphere became silent.

Everyone began to have sparkles in their eyes.Like a fire has been ignited in their hearts.Spreading it to everyone present in that place.

I don't even know anything but I also began to feel excitement.I feel like something very fun is about to begin.I can't wait!
