Eighteen is the most wonderful age they said. A day that teen has officially turn into an adult. Is it really a day to become a responsible adult? I'm unsure of it.

"Tomorrow is the day you become an an old lady sis! Let me sing you a birthday song. " my younger brother sang in a sad tone as if it was my funeral. I covered my ears and looked at him like he was an idiot.

"it's tommorow, not today you idiot. Now go do your own work. " As I replied him, I walked away.

I don't really wanted to throw a prosperous birthday party because I always felt awkward when I'm in a crowd. I just wanted to throw a simple yet unforgettable birthday party. Maybe my parents will prepared some food as usual, a little bit difference was that there was a cake on the table. Then sing a song, cut the cake. Done. Simple yet wonderful.

But in my inner self, I still hope. Just a little hope, that someone will throw me a small birthday party without me knowing. In a simple word, surprise party. I saw many of them in the social media about them throwing a grand birthday party at a hotel or something. Still, I'm a bit envy about the rich people life. Maybe I should lower my expectations in case because this would not happen in my life. I just love to live a simple life, that's enough for me.

"Happy birthday! May all your wishes come true! " the Google notifications suddenly appeared and my heart became warm. That's why people said technology is intelligent than people, they do care about us sometimes. Another year, another birthday. That's what I had in mind right now. I'm officially bacame an adult.

"Bye sweetie and happy birthday. " my mom said then kissed on my forehead. I smiled widely to answer her. This is the first time I had my birthday in school so I'm kind of excited what would it be.

"Happy birthday! Sorry I slept early yesterday. " Selena came to me as I entered the school. I patted her back to show that I'm grateful towards her.

I giggled as I saw her attitude then continue to take my seat. I looked at my phone to saw the message that I forgot to check, it was some birthday wishes that my friend sent to me. How can I met so many precious friends that stayed up the night to greet me happy birthday? Maybe the friends that I got was already a gift for me.

As the time goes, I realised that it was the same as usual after all. But I was stunned just now because there was a friend that we barely knew each other just wished me happy birthday at class. Not gonna lie, I was so touched bacause it was unexpected. Today went better than I expected. So that's how the people who had their birthday in school felt like.

"Ayo it's your birthday right? Happy birthday! " My classmate suddenly asked me from a far distance in class then some of my classmate turned their directions towards me.

"Oh my, why didn't you say? Happy birthday! "

Suddenly my classmates wished me and I got embarrassed that I suddenly got so many wishes from them. It's not that I don't want to tell them but I just thought that if I said it out, it would be as I was showing off. But it felt nice and relieved at the same time.

"Thank you! All of you. " I smiled towards them and nodded my head. It was really an unforgettable 18th birthday.

I didn't expected something even more surprised until one of my childhood friend arrived at my home after school and gifted me a birthday cake. The cake was lovely and I was touched by her behaviour. But I was sorry that she had spent amount of money for this cake, so I will repay her on her birthday next year.

"Do you want to drink alcohol sis? "

"The heck you're saying? "

"You're legal to drink alcohol now, do you want one? "

"No, its gross. "

"Tch, you haven't grow up. "

And another birthday has pass when I was fighting with my little brother. An ordinary yet wonderful birthday.
