Chapter 6

After what had happened previously, Liam assigned 2 of his men to be bodyguards for Aurora. Lucas is still out there, and he might want to attack Aurora again.

Aurora went up to Liam's room to thank him. She knocked on his door.

"Who's there??", he asked.

"Aurora", she answered.

He opened the door, staring directly into Aurora's eyes. He glanced through what she was wearing. She was wearing a silky dress with low cut, and her hair tied in a messy bun.

"Come in", he said to her.

She entered and sat on his bed. Liam looked surprised.

"It's quite surprising that you came into my room. What do you want?", he asked.

"Nothing, just wanted to thank you for what you did for me", she answered

"I had to, your dad would be disappointed in me if I had let anything happen to you. How are your bruises though??", he asked.

"They've healed, thank you", she replied.

Liam took off his bathrobe. He had just taken his bath, revealing his fit body, his abs, biceps and all are pronounced. The water dripping from his hair fell on chest, running down his bare chest.

Aurora noticed the python tattoo on the left side of his chest. "A tattoo, nice", she said.

"You like it??", he asked

"It's nice", she answered.

"That doesn't answer my question", he said, bringing his face closer to hers. "You like it??", he whispered.

"Ye...yes", she said, stammering.

Liam walked up to his closet to pick out an outfit, smiling. "Help me pick an outfit", he said to her

"I'm not good at picking outfits", she replied.

"Just pick an outfit!!"

"I think the white shirt, that black trousers and the black striped waistcoat would do"

"How about the shoes??"

"Hmm, pick any of your choice", she replied

He picked black loafers, he dressed up and was about to leave.

"Where to??", she asked.

"I'm off to do some office work"

She gave him a stern look.

"I'm not killing anyone, chill. Real office work this time around"

"Alright then, bye. Don't stay late"

"I won't, you seem to have grown fond of me", he said

"I'm not fond of you. Let's just say we are friends now"

"For real??", he asked

"Yes", she answered.

Liam gave her a kiss on her forehead, "Stay safe", he said to her as he leaves.

"Sure", she replied. She smiled softly as Liam leaves then proceeds to leave for her room.

"Hey girl", she said to her best friend, Iris on a call, narrating all that had happened in the last few days.

"Awwn, your knight in shining armor. He is even a mafia boss, nice. Girl you are so lucky." Iris said.

"We are on good terms now, we are friends. He even gave me two bodyguards to keep watch over me"

"Wow, it's nice. I told you not to judge a book by its cover", Iris replied.

"I know, thank goodness he found me, if not I can't imagine what Lucas would have done to me"

"Don't worry, Liam is there for you", Iris said, teasingly.

"I wanna take a nap, I'll talk to you later gurl."

"Alright, talk to you later", Iris replied.

They ended the call and Aurora fell asleep. She slept like a baby for a long while.
