After the hour, Vlad was standing in front of an old building, the building looked like it came out of Britain in the 1800s, it looked very antique. At the top of the building was a name, 'Black Stone City library.' Vlad entered the building and was greeted by the smell of books, he looked around and saw tons and tons of books, there were many shelves, some books looked so old, that a small gust of wind would turn it to dust. This library would cause an orgasm for historians and bookworms.
The building had many chandeliers, they gave off a feeling which made you want to swing on em. He walked to a counter, where an old woman was sitting, reading a book. As a child they tell us to respect our elders, but Vlad, arrogance destroys.
*One hour thirty minutes prior*
"My dear Vlad, you are a sorcerer, and you are naturally the strongest type of magic user's, but don't let that get to your head, and remember, respect your elders." Vlatka says in a slight warning tone.
"My dear, I won't make the mistake of letting power get to my head, and I need to go to a library to gain some knowledge." Vlad.
"Sure go, but remember my words, my grandma is in this city, and she's crazy powerful, she can cut off your access to the weave." Vlatka
After this statement Vlad shut his mouth, he had no comment.
*Back to present*
"Old hag, where are the books pertaining information on TLB?"
The elderly woman looked up, stared at Vlad for 5 seconds, and went back to what she was doing.
Vlad's anger slowly rose, he started controlling the weave, but before he could release anything, his control over the weave was turned off, he couldn't even sense it anymore. He was lost and confused.
'How is this possible?'
He then heard, a raspy voice. One that was so calm, he thought it was the balance itself.
"Hmm, this generation, they don't have respect for their elders. Arrogance.., it truly kills."
*Sigh*
"Ma'am, please, forgive me for my insolence, it will never happen again, I swear." Vlad said in a empty voice, a voice you would only hear if someone lost everything.
"Not enough, I will educate you properly."
Vlad was scared. To the point of peeing in his pants, before he could even make a sound, he was teleported to a dark place. He looked around trying to find a way out. There was nothing.
"Your disrespectful words and intent, they disgust and anger me. I have nothing else to say, but my actions will speak for me."
Vlad felt his body heating up, he was slowly being cooked, alive, the heat was so intense, he started screaming, he was in so much pain, he couldn't think properly, all he felt, was pain. After 15 minutes of pain, his body started to become Ash, fine grain ash. His only solace to the pain was a statement, "Mr. Stark, I'm not feeling so good." He grinned for a bit, then the pain reversed, he went through the pain again, but this time backwards. After that piece of torture, his mind was already changed, his pain tolerance increased. It was a hidden gift.
He thought it was all over, but this was just the beginning. Next up was nails being sent deep inside his body, reaching his soul, destroying it, and putting it back together, he lost a lot of memories from his past life. The old woman was good in nature, she only wanted to teach him the importance of respect, feeling bad for the poor thing she gave him the opposite of all his pain, love, a love so great it caused him to reach a balance. (Oh the wonders of balance)
Vlad, he was no longer than man he was before, he could now see the balance, only a few power houses were able to do so. He now knew, be prideful of your power, but not to the point of arrogance. This was a balanced thought which would help him many times, in the coming future.
The elderly woman looked at Vlad and nodded with pleasure.
