Chapter 26

B: Jess sat and listened. "I'm sorry Derek, but I am not like her. I want to stay in the Institute and be with Isaac. I am not evil like she was. I can promise you that." She explained. "Look Derek, I know that you and Isaac had some rough stuff, but you need to know that even though bad things happen you still need each other. " She looked at them and waited.

I: ​"I will always have my brother at my side. I just cannot see how he can fall knee deep into a relationship so fast. Isaac, you don't know Jess, you barely know if she is going to be honest about what she says! Look at her and tell me you aren't biased. You are! She's beautiful, like the last one. She is a determined person who is both stubborn yet loving, just like the last one, and now she has a love for the Mundane world, leaving her brother Seth to hunt alone! Do you know he won't take a partner? And that kid is pretty screwed up. He is not the nicest guy in the world, trust me we have crossed paths a few times."

B: Jess growled deeply. "He told me to go. He knew what this DAMNED place was doing to me. You have no fucking clue what we have been through. Maybe if you got your head out of your ass for five fucking minutes maybe you could LEARN why he loves me and why I love him and why I DON'T want to be in the mundane world anymore. AND DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE CALL MY BROTHER SCREWED UP YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIM! You would be the same way if you say your parents ripped apart by a fucking wolf and your father's body never found. So, don't you fucking dare judge me or my family." She screamed and glared at him. Her body was shaking and her all she was seeing was black.

I: "Jess, calm down." Isaac gently placed his arms around her waist as he sat beside her and pulled her ass back to the couch and sat her down. "Jess, stop it, you and I both know that you and Seth have suffered, there is no need to try and prove yourself. Derek will understand with time. Just remain calm."

"Derek, stop saying things you do not understand and are not true. Seth is his own person and whatever is conflicting him has absolutely nothing to do with us, it isn't our business. I just came to clear the air with you, but it is obvious you have hatred toward all hunters who backslide. You must have forgotten the year you ran away to the mundane world to join them." He stood and took Jess by the arm gently to leave.

"I didn't. I did not forget." Derek said quietly. Isaac stopped and Derek stood to look at him. "I just don't want to see you hurt again Isaac. I won't allow anyone to betray me or leave me the way she did years ago. I learned my lesson. The only person who will hurt if this between the two of you doesn't work, is you." He sadly left them, and Isaac escorted Jess out and held her hand.

B: She calmed down when he touched her, and her eyes glazed over. When Isaac got up so did, she but she was wobbly, so she leaned on him. "I'm sorry." She whispered. She knew this was hard for him. She kissed his cheek and sighed. "I am sorry for snapping at him....he just crossed a line." She whispered sadly.

I: Isaac walked with her outside for a moment before he stopped her. "Jess, listen to me when I say this and don't get angry. Don't explode. Derek is an ass, yes, but Seth does have some of his own issues that eventually must be solved. There is anger in you too, I just saw it. You lashed out at my brother and even though he deserved it, you lost control. You are still recovering Jess. How can I bring you to see my ex if you will let what she says affect you? She was a hunter once, she knows Seth just like Derek does, so I think I should see her alone if you can't handle what is said without hurting yourself. Whether Derek deserved that or not for talking about your brother, you have to maintain control and not let it get to you. You can't go through every situation ready to fight for Seth Jess. Because he does have his own anger and I think you and I should help him. Are you sure you can handle this?"

He asked her because if she went off like that on his ex it would ruin their time together later on. He didn't want Jess to hurt herself and have to go back to the infirmary.

B: She looked at him. "Your ex does not know Seth or me. We were not around when she was. And the only reason I lost control was because he was not only questioning my loyalty but my brothers. And if you think that is a problem then we will be over. Also, if you think I have problems I do. So does Seth but he knows how to deal with his and so do I. So, go only if you want but know this when you return, I will have transferred to a different institute and no one will tell you where. I will be gone forever. If you can't trust me then there is no reason to continue this." She said with a calm voice. Her eyes were darker but that was cause of the lighting.

"So, pick. I have heard the stories of you and her. I know how far it went. And I know if she wants to get back at you or have you, she will do anything to get you back. Even play the damsel card or the sex appeal card. Woman do that to get their way. I would know I have watched mundanes and woman of all races and species do it." She said and looked at him. Her body hurt to stand alone but she could handle it. But could she handle his answer was something she would find out.

I: "Jess do you hear yourself!?" he asked in shock. "You just said that if I have a problem with you questioning your loyalty, we are over? Over!? Are you kidding me? After all we have been through the only thing that could break us for good is questioning you or your brother? You didn't hear anything I said. All you see is your own pain and your own struggle that you have suffered with Seth. Listen to my words not what you 'think' I'm saying. I'm telling you that Seth does need help! You need help! I need help! We need each other. Derek was wrong for saying it the way he did, but I know Seth, and I have seen Seth at his lowest when you were asleep and none of us knew if you would wake. Seth accepted the fact of you being gone and was ready to let you go! He feels like he has no hope outside of you Jess. And you feel the same way! The moment someone mentions Seth you lose your mind. Now you dare to say that if I ever questioned Seth, we are over!? It's as if you didn't even love me! You don't want to give me a chance if ever I had to question Seth. Well I have. I have questioned him. The moment he told me to let you go. So, don't say that to me. Unless you want to break up. And remember this Jess. Seth does need to confront his problems soon. And so, do you. You can't beat everyone who has a problem with him. It doesn't work that way. If you love me Jess, then you have to listen and take what I say and tell me if I am wrong, but you can't say we are over just because we disagree about Seth. If you want to drop out relationship that damn easily then fine. Let's stop now. I have already gone against Seth the second he told me to give up on you. And if I had, you would still be in a coma."

He breathed easily. "You just yelled at Derek saying that he had no right to judge you or Seth. Now you are judging Belle and you don't know her, you don't know what happened between her and I. If you don't want Seth to be judged, then why are you doing it to Belle? Do you know that she is like other mundane women? No, you don't. I fell for her Jess, and I fell hard. Not because I wanted to, but because my heart couldn't help it. She was special and precious to me. But now my heart has no room for her heartbreaking decisions. I have gotten over her and moved on. But when I speak to her it will be because I want to be with you and only you. If you make me go through this, and then leave me because of Seth then tell me now so we won't waste any more time. But remember this, Seth will fall in love someday too. Someone will steal his heart. He will need to either continue to fight the world for your sake, or let it go and love the person he is meant to be with. You have to do the same. But I won't go on this journey of love with you if I will never be able to amount to Seth in your life. I will not compete with your brother for your heart."

He should have seen this coming. He knew how Seth and Jess loved each other, but their anger was out of control. If they did not handle it, they would be kicked out like Isaac was.

"I'm trying to help you Jess. You hurt my heart just now. Saying you will move to an institute and never be found? Never give me a second chance? Do you even know what love is? Obviously not. Love is patient. Love is kind. You must love endlessly or not at all. That is why Belle hurt me, because I loved her for real. She abused it. But that doesn't mean that I must give you half my heart and keep the other half protected. I love you Jess, and I will give you all of me. But I'm only getting half of you."
