After following him around for some time, I realized he wasn't particularly going anywhere. He just seemed to be walking. His footsteps went on as the roads turned to more roads before narrowing into smaller paths, and before we knew it, we were outside a thin alleyway. Both Ivan and Nea looked like this was where we should have been while I reflected on the strange occurrence.
"So he came over to the store. We should move closer, Eric. I won't be able to use magic to eavesdrop."
"What? Store? And why can't you use magic?"
Nea shook her head and dragged me ahead without explaining anything. Damn it, I hope the staff of that place doesn't notice me. They'll get all grossed out and we'll be caught, I am sure. We were now much closer to Ivan, hiding behind one of the few boxes scattered in this alleyway.
"Give me some of the better smokes," Ivan said. "And if you have anything addressed for Ivan, then hand that over too,"
