Night of the ball prt 2

Aurora Stood outside whilst everyone was dancing inside her friends we're all approached by gentlemen while she deliberately stayed amongst the shadows and they were taken for a dance she watched them swirl around and giggle shyly she was happy for them but distanced herself from these things she then saw beyond the deep red curtains the doors leading out to the balcony she went and stood outside for some fresh air.

The breeze was gentle almost a soothing calming caress to Auroras skin making her forget about the made up dictated world. She breathed in slowly enjoying the sensations and view. she loved how the night sky was looking right now, the sharp crescent moon was peaking out the stars carefully scattered across the sky adding to the feel of serenity if Aurora could she would live up there with them. When Aurora looked down she saw how heavenly the garden was she caught site of a maze just to the left side in the beautiful garden it was floral with different variety of flowers she was intrigued and decided to go and take a look.

The duke was left in aw did he die and go to heaven, he blinked again and noticed the deep red silk gown along with long wavy gold like hair flowing with the wind gracefully and the flowers, the gypsophilas that he could smell all along beautifully planted in her thick plaits. He knew that this was definitely the lady who he heard speak earlier. His attention was suddenly taken by the major who offered his daughter to the duke

"This is my daughter Layla it would make me happy if you both could share a dance"

The duke offered his hand which she took carefully they started to dance but Layla had noticed how the duke was too lost to even speak she had said "it is nice to meet you, you have done a pleasant job in the city" but that fell all on deaf ears. Realising that the girl was speaking to him he gave a curt response "likewise, thank you"

When he quickly looked back to see if that anonymous being was still there she was gone almost like it was a deliberate hallucination the duke smirked in wonder.

As Aurora entered the maze she saw that each side of the maze had lights inside almost to illuminate the beauty of the flowers even more whilst lightening up the path of the maze as Aurora walked through she enjoyed the calm tranquility and explored the nature she bent down to a pretty pink rose when suddenly a beautiful emerald butterfly came tittering towards Aurora if flew around her circling her then came to her face and gently fluttered its wings on the side of Auroras cheek which made Aurora giggle slightly.
