Trapped Inside a Novel as a Hidden Character

(PAUSED) One night, Faerie remembers that she wants to read a novel that was recommended by one of her students. Unfortunately, she forgets what the title was and decided to read another novel that she accidentally found on an old website. Because of how horrible the ending was, Faerie ended up leaving a review full of insults for the novel that has ended for years. It seems that this website has been dead and maybe she was the last visitor to this website. So she believes that her review won't be read by anyone. And just like that, Faerie left a review full of gag nonsense. "The worst ending in the world. If you, readers, agree with my opinions, gimme a million likes! Maybe there's a miracle for me to be transmigrated into this novel so I can change this shitty ending to becoming the best ending all of the time!" And now Faerie regrets her review that night. Faerie did transmigrate into the shitty novel by its writer who proclaimed to be a God. And her bad luck didn't end there. Faerie now possessed a hidden character's body whose destined to die at the hands of a tyrant. Now, what is Faerie supposed to do to change the shitty storyline into the best ending all of the time, and return to her life on Earth? --- Author's note: Related to chapters 01-13 which explains how the MC was able to enter the novel's world and why she was obliged to sign a contract by the Goddess with the reward: 'her life in her original world'. At the start of the story, I purposefully do not shorten and write in detail. That's because I want readers to feel the MC's mindset shift after meeting and interacting with all of the novel's characters, which was initially just focused on how to accomplish the contract. Although I am aware that you may become bored while reading 01-13, I encourage you to continue reading! Cause I am certain that this novel will not bore you! (Don't worry, this is a long story, and the MC definitely has more to do (ahem) with the Male Lead.) system (check) transmigration (check) werewolf / cursed ML (check) overpower MC (check) historical and fantasy world-building. 021 - Sunset City (5)

After talking about flowers that matched Faerie's, Faerie eventually succeeded in changing the subject.

'Besides, they don't seem like important characters because the <system> didn't react,' Faerie thought as she remembered the two guys in expensive robes.

"By the way, do you have any dried flower brooches?" Faerie asked, her gaze drawn to the inside flower shop, which was, of course, overflowing with flowers and flowers. She quietly kept a bouquet of Lily of the Valley flowers in the <inventory>.

When the flower shop employee saw a noble lady ask that, she frowned. "You mean a corsage?"

Corsages are small flower-based accessories worn around the wrist or pinned to the neckline of women's dresses. These flower accessories are commonly used at weddings and other pleasant occasions.

A corsage is derived from the French term 'bouquet de corsage', which means a bunch of flowers to decorate the corset.

Faerie had no idea such an item existed in the world of novels.

'Seems like the world of this novel isn't too horrible just as God, ah, I mean, Goddess Gaia, said!'

After watching Faerie nod excitedly, the flower shop employee, a girl her age, shook her head.

"Ladies nobles dislike corsages. They would rather wear jewelry with gorgeous colorful sparkling gems as accessories than flowers that can wither at any time." She said, making Faerie gloomy.

"I see...." Faerie murmured. She couldn't hide the disappointment on her face.

The girl ran over to comfort Faerie, whose face had changed into that of a kid who was not allowed to buy sweets. "Oh, you asked about the brooch previously, didn't you?"

Faerie nodded flatly.

"Do you plan to gift it to your brother, who is getting married soon? Or, your best male friend, Miss?" She asked with excitement.

"Then! I have several boutonnieres! Kindly wait!" She told Faerie to wait for her for a while, then ran excitedly into the flower shop.

"… No… I'm searching for brooches, not boutonnieres or anything else." Faerie replied belatedly to a flower shop employee who seemed to be excited about something.

'Even if this body has a brother, I doubt it will be invited.' Faerie felt irritated.

But boutonnieres and brooches have a lot in common. Boutonnieres, also from France, are small buttonholes with one to three flowers that are worn on men's collars.

'Are boutonnieres exclusively worn by men?' Faerie began to ponder.

The original plan was for her to transform the 'God's Blessing', which now takes the form of a brooch with the symbol of the greatness of the Goddess Gaia, into a flower brooch that looks like any other brooch.

Faerie planned to pretend to buy a flower brooch from a flower shop and then copy the shape to avoid people's suspicions because the Goddess mentioned she could change the shape of the 'God's Blessing' to her heart's content.

"Here it is!" The girl carried several boutonnieres made of beautiful flowers that had dried in front of Faerie. Flowers, whether classic or exotic, look stunning.

'Roses, orchids, chrysanthemums, baby's breath—wow, that's a lot,' Faerie was immediately captivated when she saw the many different kinds of flowers successfully dried nicely.

The girl looked proud when she saw Faerie's face light up when she viewed the work of the flower shop where she presently works.

"This is the creation of a well-known florist named-"

Faerie cut in, "Can I buy all of them?"

The young girl blinked in disbelief. "Pardon?" She doubted the words of the lovely noble lady in front of her.

Faerie smiled widely.

She has no issues with money.

Faerie has enough cash on hand to purchase this flower shop building outright.

'Because Goddess Gaia has provided me with a large sum of money, helping me to easily accomplish the contract!'

Upon realizing she had a large sum of money, Faerie smiled with joy.

'I am a millionaire in this trash novel world! Hahaha!'

Faerie grinned as she observed the flower shop employees begin to wrap the many boutonnieres that Faerie had ordered. Faerie took one of the boutonnieres and examined it intently.

"Perhaps I can test it now..." Faerie muttered as she reached into her robe pocket.

She intended to make 'God's Blessing' resemble one of the boutonnieres she was holding right now.

But she had to abandon her plans for the time being.

Because….

"Oh. There's nothing in my pocket...." Faerie muttered.

"..."

... Huh?

Faerie started yelling hysterically, "THERE ISN'T ANY?!" Making everyone in the flower shop glance at her with wide eyes. But Faerie didn't care.

"There is nothing!"

Faerie continued to rummage in her robe and dress pockets, but the item she was looking for was nowhere to be found. The item that should have been tucked away in her pocket was no longer there.

'Where?'

"My guarantee! My life!" Faerie screamed hysterically as if she had just lost her mind.

'Where did that item disappear?'

"Did you see the brooch with the Goddess Gaia symbol?" Faerie hurriedly approached the girl employee who had been chatting with her since she arrived at the flower shop.

The girl shook her head hesitantly. "N-No, Miss."

"The others? Have you seen the brooch with the Goddess Gaia symbol?" Faerie asked of the flower shop employees other than the girl who had served her earlier.

They all shook their heads in unison, indicating that they had no idea what the noble lady, who appeared to be in great distress, was talking about.

Faerie bit her bottom lip. Trying hard not to curse God in front of the numerous people who worship Goddess Gaia.

'Where? How did I lose it?'

Faerie handed some gold coins to the girl who was serving her and hurried out of the flower shop.

When the girl noticed Faerie fleeing out of the shop as if she was being pursued by something dangerous, she shouted in surprise.

"Eh? You haven't yet picked up the boutonnieres, Miss!"

But Faerie was no longer listening to the flower shop girl's shouts.

Her thoughts had been diverted by frantic concerns about the loss of the important guarantee that was both her protection and her precious life.

"I dropped it somewhere. Where...?" Faerie mumbled as she rushed around, taking in her surroundings.

Faerie stopped as she noticed the dessert shop in front of her. It was the dessert shop where she had gone to buy various desserts that piqued her interest.

She walked into the shop without hesitation. At that moment, everyone in the dessert shop turned to gaze at Faerie in awe.

The reason for this is that Faerie is in a mess. As she forced herself to run, her long black hair seemed to flutter aimlessly, and her dress was rumpled.

Her attractiveness, however, was not ignored. Faerie's charm became stronger and spread over the dessert shop, focusing everyone's attention solely on her.

Nobody said anything. They all just stared in silence at Faerie, who was now dazed.

Faerie herself was unconcerned by the different stares aimed at her. She didn't have time to be concerned about such trifling matters when her guarantee, her life, was on the line.

Faerie approached the desk as well as the payment location. "Excuse me, has anyone seen a brooch with the Goddess Gaia symbol?" Faerie inquired matter-of-factly.

The dessert shop employee softly shook his head.

Faerie shivered before asking another question.

"Can you then ask the customers here if they've seen it?"

The dessert shop employee nodded, even if he didn't understand what was going on, and after a while, he reappeared.

"I'm sorry, Miss."

Faerie rushed over to thank you and apologize for upsetting the mood in the dessert shop.

Faerie then walked out as fast as her body could go without looking back.

Faerie returned to the shops she had visited and asked the same questions she had asked in flower shops and dessert shops.

Faerie even stopped at a couple of shops she hadn't visited before to ask the shop owners if they had seen her brooch that had fallen in their building area.

Sadly, none of the employees saw the brooch.

Faerie also had time to question anyone passing by on this street. However, the result remains null.

An item worth more than her life is currently missing.

Faerie opened her small mouth to the clear sky, where the sun shone brightly over her head.

"...Where is it?"

"Where the hell have you lost???????!!!!!!"

Faerie was bent over, her shoulders drooping.

She felt as if she wanted to scream so loudly that her vocal cords would break since she was so insane right now after losing something far more important than her own life.

People passing by on the streets just saw Faerie screaming to herself with a weird and frightened expression. Some people looked at her with sympathy.

It was because they were sorry for the beautiful young girl who had contracted a crazy illness.

Faerie, who once again avoided people's gazes, stared with her eyes wide open at the big gate that separated the outer section from the inner section of Sunset City.

"AH! The craftsman and jewelry tent!" Faerie suddenly remembered the truth, where she had only ever brought out her brooch in an only shop.

Faerie dashed through the people staring at her with various looks. She even forgot to put back on her shabby robe.

"Excuse me!" said Faerie as she opened the tent.

Before Faerie could announce her intention to come to this tent, a man in his late 30s who she knew as a craftsman met her first as if he had foretold Faerie's coming.

"Oh, the previous Lady? Welcome back! Would you wish to retrieve something that was left behind?"

Faerie's eyes twinkled with hope. "Yes! Yes! Do you remember my brooch?"

After hearing her response, the craftsman smiled so warmly that Faerie felt like all her problem was solved.

"Your brooch was picked up by the knight from the Marquess' castle, Lady. Because the knight doesn't know your address, he left a message for me that if you came here looking for an item, you can go to the Marquess' castle and fetch the item yourself."

'What?'

Faerie's heart seemed to be freed from her chest cavity.

"... Marquess... Berdandy?"

"That's right! An honorable noble family that has protected the Moel Empire's western border territory with great dignity for generations!"
