Trapped in your spells

Eve blinked continuously at him, her emerald eyes gazing at him affectionately and with a touch of apprehension. She swallowed nervously as he approached her, His fangs emerged from his mouth, gleaming white and dangerously sharp. As he drew nearer to her vulnerable neck, Eve tensed and took a sharp breath, gripping his shoulders tightly. "How much will this hurt?" she asked, her hands still clutching onto him. His deep red eyes locked onto her green ones, strands of water cascading down his hair, tracing lines across his face. He resembled a divine figure, a male deity. His left hand slid down to her waist, pulling her closer, leaning in towards her neck, gently inhaling the scent. This caused Eve to shiver slightly, her grip on him tightening. "It may sting at first," he whispered softly, slowly rubbing his nose against her neck, "but the pain will only last for a fleeting moment. After that, it will fade away."

Eve took a deep breath through her light cloth mask as the wing of the plane finally landed safely all the way from finland to Oymyakon, after close to 20 hours which seems very much like forever for Eve ,who has never sat on a plane this long with no entertainment.

Eve stood aside for the other passengers to hurry down the flight beforeshe stepped out onto the frost-covered tarmac. The overwhelming cold hit her like a punch in the face, causing her breath to turn into tiny white puffs of steam. She found herself questioning her decision to move so far away from Finland and its familiar warmth.

As Eve made her way to the tiny airport building, she couldn't help but reflect on the events that led her here. She used to be a successful model, her face gracing the covers of magazines and billboards. However, her dreams came crashing down when her six-year-long boyfriend turned out to be a toxic presence in her life, constantly belittling and undermining her. It was a heart-wrenching experience that left her feeling broken and lost.

Eve knew she needed a fresh start, a chance to rebuild her life and rediscover herself. She decided to leave behind everything she knew and sought solace in Oymyakon, known as the coldest inhabited place on Earth. It was a drastic change of scenery, but she yearned for the isolation, the silence, and a chance to find inner peace.

Eve brought out her phone to dial her cab driver, to a Man dressed in a light grey suit walked towards her ,his eyes looked pale and was pitch black in color ,his had sharp jaws and pointed nose.

" you must be Miss Genevieve Mothew .?" The man asked with a poker face that didn't seem angry but rather polite.

Eve nodded not speaking a word, " Miss Mothew I have been assigned to take you to Crest wood." The cab driver looked behind to see the pile of luggage behind Eve , his expression did not change a bit, he looked towards Eve with his souless eyes.

" I would get your luggage in the car for you, Miss Mothew," the cab driver said with a polite smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. Eve, somewhat unnerved by his appearance, silently nodded and followed him to the car.

As the journey to Crestwood began, Eve couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. The cab driver was silent, and the atmosphere inside the car felt heavy with anticipation. To distract herself, Eve decided to play with her phone.

After close to 30 minutes drive , Eve finally looked up from her phone , she just noticed that her phone no longer got network to work with, she frowned raising her phone a little high for service, but there wasn't any.

" excuse me." Eve said looking at the driver through the mirror, his looked back at her through the same mirror.

" any problems Miss Mothew? " .

Eve cleared her throat , she found it very awkward to be called Miss Mothew , back in Finland every one called her by her name , she was a celebrity after all. " My phone just lost network , I was thinking it is quite weird, I was wondering does the town have any WiFi panel or something."

" no Miss Mothew , here in Crest woods things don't work like everyone thinks." With a concerned look, the cab driver continued, "You see, the people of Crestwood are still middle-aged minded and prefer to live a simpler life. They value face-to-face interactions and physical connections over technology. So, there is no WiFi or any other technological infrastructure here." Eve's frown deepened as she began to realize the extent of the isolation she had chosen for herself.

However, the driver quickly reassured her, saying, "But don't worry, Miss Mothew. There is a communal area in the town where you can use the internet if needed. It may not be as fast or reliable as what you're used to, but it's something."

Eve nodded, somewhat relieved that there was still a way to connect with the outside world if necessary. She leaned back in her seat, contemplating the decision she had made. It was clear that life in Crestwood was going to be an entirely different experience than what she was accustomed to.

After a long ride the car finally pulled over in front of a cottage, surrounded by rose flowers, the atmosphere of the cottage was calm and serene.

Eve stepped out of the car and took a moment to marvel at the beauty of her new surroundings. The cold air had a refreshing clarity to it, and the silence provided a sense of tranquility that Eve had been craving for so long. She thanked the cab driver before he drove away, disappearing down the road with his suit blending in seamlessly with the wintery landscape.

Eve struggled with her suitcase dragging it behind her,As Eve walked towards the cottage, she noticed a handwritten note attached to the front door. The note read, "Welcome, Miss Mothew" Intrigued, she opened the door and stepped into a cozy living room, adorned with vintage furniture and a crackling fireplace. It felt like stepping back in time, and Eve couldn't help but smile. She knew that this was exactly what she needed.

As she explored the rest of the cottage, Eve found herself captivated by the European olden design, with intricate tapestries hanging on the walls and beautifully carved wooden furniture. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the delicate porcelain tea set on the dining table to the vintage record player sitting on a shelf.

Feeling a sense of peace and contentment, Eve found solace in knowing that this serene and quaint space would be her new home. She imagined herself spending evenings by the fireplace, curled up with a cup of tea and a good book.

The cottage seemed to hold a comforting energy, as if it was welcoming her with open arms. With each room she explored, Eve felt more and more at home. The bedroom had a canopy bed with soft, lace curtains, and a window overlooking a frozen lake. The bathroom was adorned with floral wallpaper and a clawfoot bathtub, inviting her to indulge in long, relaxing baths.

Eve couldn't help but imagine the stories this cottage held, the lives of those who had lived here before her. She knew that she was embarking on a new chapter of her own story, and she felt a surge of excitement at the possibilities that lay ahead.

As she settled into her new surroundings, Eve began to understand why she had been drawn to Crestwood. It was a place where she could truly reconnect with herself, away from the noise and distractions of the modern world. It was a chance for her to discover new passions, to embrace simplicity, and to heal from the heartbreak she had endured.

With a grateful heart, Eve took a deep breath, ready to embrace her new life in Crestwood. She knew that this journey would not be without its challenges, but she was confident that the beauty and serenity of this place would guide her on her path of self-discovery and renewal. And as she stood in the cottage, surrounded by the charms of its European olden design, Eve felt a sense of peace wash over her, knowing that she had made the right choice.
