Trapped in your spells

Eve blinked continuously at him, her emerald eyes gazing at him affectionately and with a touch of apprehension. She swallowed nervously as he approached her, His fangs emerged from his mouth, gleaming white and dangerously sharp. As he drew nearer to her vulnerable neck, Eve tensed and took a sharp breath, gripping his shoulders tightly. "How much will this hurt?" she asked, her hands still clutching onto him. His deep red eyes locked onto her green ones, strands of water cascading down his hair, tracing lines across his face. He resembled a divine figure, a male deity. His left hand slid down to her waist, pulling her closer, leaning in towards her neck, gently inhaling the scent. This caused Eve to shiver slightly, her grip on him tightening. "It may sting at first," he whispered softly, slowly rubbing his nose against her neck, "but the pain will only last for a fleeting moment. After that, it will fade away."

Chapter 15

"Concentrate more on trying to feel your energy."Ethan said standing behind her,his voice very low and soothing but it was a distraction to Eve who was trying to focus on summoning her power.

Eve closed her eyes trying as hard as she could, buther mind was filled with doubts and distractions. She could feel Ethan's presence so close to her, his breath brushing against her neck, and it was making it nearly impossible for her to concentrate on anything else.

"Is this really necessary?" Eve asked, her voice betraying her frustration. She could sense Ethan's disappointment, but she couldn't help it. This exercise felt pointless to her.

Ethan let out a sigh, his hand lightly touching her shoulder. "Eve, the key to unlocking your true potential lies within your ability to connect with your energy. It's not an easy task, I know, but it's essential if you want to harness your power."

Unable to shake the distractions clouding her mind, Eve opened her eyes and turned to face Ethan. "I just don't understand why it has to be this way. Can't I learn to control my power without the need for all these distractions?"

Ethan's expression softened, understanding evident in his eyes. "I know it seems counterintuitive, but trust me, Eve. In order to fully embrace your power, you need to learn to navigate through distractions and find the calm within. It's all part of the process."

Eve let out a frustrated sigh, still unsure if she could truly trust Ethan's guidance. All she wanted was to tap into her latent abilities and become the powerful witch she thought she could be. However, doubts lingered in the back of her mind, holding her back.

Sensing her hesitation, Ethan took a step closer, his voice gentle and reassuring. "Eve, I believe in you. I've witnessed your potential, and I know you are capable of greatness. But the journey to unleashing your power starts with the willingness to let go of your doubts and embrace the present moment."

Eve bit her lip, contemplating Ethan's words. Maybe there was more to this exercise than she initially thought. Perhaps it was about more than just connecting with her energy; maybe it was about trusting herself and embracing her own potential.

With a newfound determination, Eve closed her eyes once again, shutting out the distractions and doubts that had plagued her. She focused on Ethan's words, first she thought about her encounter in the forest where the animal almost devoured her.

As the memory flashed in her mind, Eve felt a surge of anger and defiance. She refused to let fear control her anymore. She visualized herself standing tall, her body glowing with an inner strength and power. Slowly, she felt something stir within her, a warmth spreading from her chest throughout her entire being.

Eve's eyes snapped open, and to her amazement, she saw a golden light emanating from her. It flickered and danced around her, illuminating the darkness of the forest. With each breath, the light grew brighter, enveloping her in a protective aura.

A wave of confidence washed over Eve as she realized she had tapped into her hidden power. The golden light grew stronger, pulsating with her heartbeat, as she embraced this newfound ability. It was as if a spark had ignited within her, fueling her with an inner strength she had never known before.

With the golden light surrounding her, Eve turned to face the man standing a few feet away. His expression had shifted from one of danger to one of astonishment as he witnessed her transformation.

Ethan stood before her with a small smile."now that you have harnessed your strength try attacking me."

Eve's eye shook in terror as she stared at him,she was still surrounded by the golden light,"I can't do that what if it hurts you."

Ethan's smile widened at Eve's concern, admiration shining in his eyes. "Eve, trust in your power. This exercise is not about causing harm but about testing your control. You will use your energy to engage with me, but I assure you, I am well-prepared to handle it."

Despite her lingering doubts, Eve took a deep breath and composed herself. She stepped forward, her body still enveloped in the golden light, and extended her hand towards Ethan. With a focused mind and heart, she channeled the energy within her, directing it towards him.

A surge of energy shot from Eve's outstretched hand, towards Ethan. He easily sidestepped the attack, not a hint of surprise on his face. The energy dissipated harmlessly into the air, leaving no trace of its existence.

Eve's heart raced, a mix of excitement and fear coursing through her veins. She had never felt such power before, and it both exhilarated and unnerved her. But deep down, she knew she was just scratching the surface.

Without missing a beat, Ethan urged her on, his voice filled with encouragement. "That was excellent, Eve. But don't hold back. Trust in your abilities and push yourself further. Give it your all."

Eve hesitated for a moment, her hand trembling slightly. She took a moment to gather her resolve, understanding that this challenge was not just about proving herself but about pushing past her limits. With renewed determination, she focused her energy once again, this time summoning it with even greater intensity.

A beam of pure energy shot forth from Eve's hand, aimed directly at Ethan. This time, it moved with incredible speed and force, unable to be dodged as easily. It struck Ethan square in the chest, causing him to stagger backward.

Eve's eyes widened in horror as she saw Ethan spit blood, his face contorting in pain. She rushed to his side, her voice filled with a mix of panic and guilt. "Ethan, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean-"

But Ethan waved her off, a weak smile gracing his lips. "No need to apologize, Eve. This was a necessary test, and you passed with flying colors. It's all part of the process, remember?"

Eve shook her head, tears brimming in her eyes. "But I hurt you. I never wanted that. I just wanted to prove myself."

Ethan placed a hand on her cheek, his touch gentle and comforting. "You have, Eve. More than you can ever imagine. Your power is immense, and with proper guidance, you will learn to control it."
