Aurora was silent, her mind reeling from the weight of Dr. Lee's words. Finally, she lifted her gaze, her voice tight with disappointment. "Are you saying there's no hope of ever recovering all my memories?"
Dr. Lee met her gaze, choosing her words carefully. "There is still hope. We can wait for the fragments to return over time, though it may take a while. Or, we can attempt hypnosis. I'll support whichever choice you feel ready for, as long as it's safe for you."
Aurora's mind raced. Waiting indefinitely was unbearable; each passing day felt like agony. The thought of the memories slipping away forever gnawed at her.
Taking a steadying breath, she whispered, "Let's try hypnosis."
Dr. Lee searched her face for any hesitation, nodding when she found none. "All right, Aurora. We'll proceed carefully. Just remember, clarity may not come immediately."
Aurora gave a small nod, her hands clenched in her lap. "I understand. Let's start."
