chapter 10 - Dr Davis

William POV

it's 3:00pm, we've rode past the grocery store which was still open in such a wary town only one store is open, its not like am expecting stores all around its just that am still surprise what would a store would be doing in such a weird wretched environment..beside we soon be out of this town. I wonder what could be so important that made parkis came all the way here. clearing my throat I was forced to asked "so the stuffs you wanted to get were you able to get them" the way my voice sounded was as if am not even interested in this topic but within me I want an answer badly.

"Yeah I found what I wanted to get" parkis responded to William question.

"So what was so important to have made you come all the way here" William threw another question.

"Well it's just about past stuffs it won't be interesting enough for you to hear" parkis answered back.

Manny who was driving keep his face straight without adding to their discussion even thought he could hear them clearly front the driver seat, tuchi on the other hand was sitting close to Manny in the front seat while parkis, William and Mario occupied the back seat. Mario has fallen asleep leaning back on her father.

The car suddenly stopped and they all exchange confusing glances before Manny got down from the car to check out the problem. he open the bunnet of the car as it smoke out, he pulled his face away coughing before parkis, tuchi and William walked up to him.

"what's the problem?" tuchi asked worriedly.

"I don't know what's the cause"replied Manny.." I'll go start the ignition again to see what the problem is" He went back into the car as he start the ignition but the picked up with pressure soon it off, he tried it three more times but the pressure it used in picking up deduce the power of the car battery, he got down and walked to them.

"What could possibly be wrong with this car" Manny complained.

" Don't you think it has something to do with the Battery?" Tuchi asked

"Not sure, The car need proper checkup before knowing the fault, we can't just jump into conclusion" William said.

" I'll have to handle this then" Parkis said.walking to the car booth he opened it and brought out a tools box, he close the booth and walked back to them.

"I'll just wait inside the car" Tuchi said as she walked to the car, she opened the door and entered. soon the fault was detected in the car but it took time to repair, more than two hours the sun was still firm without showing sign of going down so they thought their was still much time.

After repairing their car they got in and Manny resume driving, while driving William stares outside watching the sky as his eyes return down to the ground soon going through the building suddenly he started to notice movement of some shadows in the building soon the figures became clear, at first he thought it was his imagination but then this strange figures are coming out of the building soon they headed towards their car running fast. Alerted! " Go, go, drive faster!!" William shouted on top his voice this kept everyone alerted!

Oh my god! tuchi exclaims panicking

"This isn't good " Manny said increasing the speed of the car.

The zombies were all coming from different angle, they spring towards the car attacking it. Manny managed to check the few ones that has manage to claimed on top of the car. due to panicking and the speed of the car Mario woke up, getting to understand what was going on she started panicking too.

"The sun hasn't gotten down yet why all this?" parkis asked confused. No one answered his question as they all were not in their right senses due to the panicking.

"We won't be able to make it out they are multiplying in Numbers" Manny screamed on top of his voice.

Parkis looked around the more the sun deduce in producing light source the more they multiply he could buy Manny some time to get out of the town said. he gently stood up from his seat backing the driver seat, he place his hand on top of his seat just then the place he place his hand produce out a blue light this got William and Mario attention who looked surprise at this.

"Handprint detected! welcome back Dr Davis..weaponized security entrance preparing for opening!" A voice said which can clearly be noticed to be a device.

Dr Davis??? William and Mario asked at once in a confused state.
