Cana decided to rest her arms on his shoulders behind the sofa and the rest of the girls were all sitting down on the floor.
Taking out an old polaroid camera, Granny Chio made sure everything was working before taking a few photos of the group in different positions.
She first did a group photo before doing single s' and then couples. Ekko ended up taking a photo with each girl individually.
After all the pictures were taken and the girls were ready, they all headed out to enjoy the Twin goddesses festival, but their first stop was the shrine.
/////////////////////////////////////
{Location: Yakushi - Twin goddesses Shrine.}
" Oh my god, dude check out those babes, they're freaking gorgeous." A random bystander commented.
" Hey doesn't that blonde-haired one kinda look familiar, where have I seen her before?"
" Wow, they're so beautiful, d-do you think I should approach one of them, I might have a chance."
" Ye, you'll have a chance once you sort out your raging b.o and that shiny bald head of yours."
" Hey! it's completely natural to be bald at the age of 19...right." His friend just shook his head and patted his friend's shoulder in sympathy.
' Looks like the girls are attracting a lot of attention, not that I didn't see that coming but the angry and jealous stares coming my way are a bit annoying.'
Though could he really blame them when he had Rangiku and Cana both holding his arms and pressing their breasts on him?
{Squish!! Boing!}
'Sigh, sucks to suck I guess.'
After a nice 25-minute walk the whole group finally made it to the shrine and might he just add, it was fully packed.
But the shrine was really beautiful and big as well, Ahri and Eris looked amazed, Eris because this was all so new to her and Ahri because she felt a connection to the land she just couldn't explain.
"Ekko~Ekko~ it's so beautiful, oh what are those Ekko." Eris excitedly asked as she pointed at a row of red rectangular posts.
Though Akali answered that question for her." There called torii gates, often painted bright red they demarcate the boundary between the sacred space of the shrine and ordinary space. Torii also identifies other sacred spots, such as a mountain or rock."
" Wow, so cool-nya." Eris said as she posed under the torii with other tourists and took a photo.
The group just strolled around admiring the beauty of the shrine before they decided to head to the praying area.
" This gate both marks where the realm of Shinto kami begins and separates it from the secular world.
By entering the grounds through the gate, you are stepping onto sacred grounds, be aware of this. Prepare your mind and your heart, calm yourself, and appreciate everything around you, be it visible or not."
Ekko said mysteriously to tease Eris a bit but she nodded seriously to his words.
But Ekko did wonder if the gods or more specifically the twin goddesses were real.
He would like to believe they were but it could also just be a story. The group bowed before passing through the gates and made their way to the offering box.
But even before they could give an offering they had to cleanse their hands with water." So this is what you call a Temizuya, there are so many things you have to do before even getting to the offering-nya."
After cleaning his hands Ekko noticed that all the ladles were being used so he passed his to Evelyn who gave him a flirtatious wink.
After everyone finished the purification ritual they made their way to the main shrine, meanwhile on the way there Akali was explaining to me and Eris on what to do when making the offering.
" Just like the purification, the actual worship is also ritualized. A general rule of thumb when going to a shrine to worship: bow twice, clap twice, bow once." She explained as they waited their turn to make an offering.
The girls got a lot of lustful stares from the men who passed by but the girls just ignored them while making their offering.
{Clap! Clap!}
They clapped, bowed, closed their eyes, and made their prayer.
'I wish for k/da to make it big and that this year, we will make tons of awesome memories together...
And also that Ekko can find his dream...' A small blush crept on Ahri's face as she said that prayer/Wish.
' I wish that everything will go smoothly this year and that all my family at home will have good health...oh and that K/da will shock the world.' Kai'sa said in her heart.
'I wish that in the future I'll be recognized as one of the best rappers out there and that K/da will be a success.' Akali said.
' What do I wish for~ Fufu maybe that a certain big, tall and dark boy with a nice ass will finally give me a kiss on the lips...and for K/da to do well but thats a given with our talent.' Evelyn smirked internally.
' I wish that when I submit my book for the competition that it will get into the top three at least...*Cough* and maybe a romantical encounter wouldn't be so bad either.' Masane thought in her head while remembering her little moment with Ekko.
' I wish for more alcohol...preferably the expensive kind...'
"..."
Cana...well cana was wishing for Cana-like things.
' Oh, I wish for everyone at the inn to live happily and to receive lots of pets from Ekko, oh and fishies lots and lots of fishies.." Eris thought while drooling at the thought of a grilled fish stall they passed not too long ago.
' I wish...well my wish has already come true, so I guess the only thing I could wish for is for things to continue going how they've been going. Oh and also I wish to be by Ekko's side for as long as I can.' Rangiku thought while taking a secret peek at her boyfriend.
' I guess, all I can wish for is for everyone's well-being...and also I hope if there is an afterlife in this world that my Mum and dad are living together happily.' Ekko said with a smile before all nine of them bowed one last time.
///////////////////////////////////////
" Ughhhhhhh, alright now that that's over with I'm heading to the competition, any of you interested in watching." Cana asked as the whole group decided on what they wanted to do.
Everyone denied but Cana didn't mind and said her goodbyes before heading to the competition.
The K/da girls wanted to visit and watch the performance of a pop group that would be performing so they made their way towards that.
And Masane, Eris, and Rangiku decided they wanted to walk around and try out the seafood stalls on the south side of Yakushi so that Left Ekko all by his lonesome just walking around and enjoying the sights.
{MUSCLES!!! MUSCLES!!! MUSCLES!!!}
Suddenly a unified manly chant of multiple men screaming muscles could be heard in the far away distance.
" Huh! Did I just hear Machio's voice just then...mhh, must have been just my imagination." Ekko thought before making his way through the streets of Yakushi.
But as Ekko was waking he suddenly noticed a crowd of people circling a Wanko soba stall." Oh my god, how many bowls is that and where the hell is all that soba going."
" I know right, her stomach is like a black hole, maybe she ate the gomu gomu fruit."
" 432 bowls and counting, if Black hole blondie manages to get past 449 she breaks the all-time record." A nerdy-looking teenager said as he lifted his glasses in a way that he thought made him look cool and knowledgeable.
" Black hole blondie...I kinda like that, YOU CAN DO IT BLACK HOLE BLONDIE."
" ONLY 17 MORE BOWLS TO GO BLACK HOLE BLONDIE." Suddenly the crowd started to chant the nickname glasses decided to give her.
And said black hole blondie had a straight unemotional face as she consumed another bowl of Wanko soba noodles.
Ekko who had managed to make his way to the front of the crowd was finally able to see who was going to break the record.
' Eh?...Koizumi.'
( Who's that pokemon...It's Koizumi.)
Narrator: On a casual stroll through the streets of Yakushi Ekko had spotted a wild Koizumi.
Will Black hole blondie be able to break the record...
Will Cana drink herself to unconsciousness...
Did Ekko really hear Machio's voice...
And will Eris finally get her grilled fishies...find out in the next chapter.
