Chapter 116

' Crap, that's way too fast.' The server was shocked at how fast the ball was and tried to dig the ball, but the moment it was going to land it made a weird movement and completely changed directions when it come into contact with the player's forearms.

{ And the first point goes to Team Hinamatsuri, leading of the game with a beautiful serve from the player Ekko.}

Meanwhile, the server on the other team was shocked and confused, he had no idea what had just happened.

' Looks like the concept works in Volleyball ball as well, I'm glad I played all those ping pong games with those seniors at the park.'

Ekko thought as he applied one of the techniques he saw at the park in his serve.

The old folk called it the misdirection shot but to Ekko it was more similar to Ronaldo's signature knuckleball.

By hitting the ball at just the right place and with the right amount of power, you could make the ball move in the air in an unpredictable pattern.

" Nice serve Ekko." Nana said giving him a thumbs up." Keep them coming."

Ekko nodded while receiving the ball back. The players got back into positions and Ekko served a second time with just as much power as before.

The back defense just couldn't seem to get a hang of that weird shot of his, causing the other team to concede three more points.

Though by an unexpected stroke of luck on Ekko's last and final serve the defender was able to dig the ball up though it was gonna be hard to reach.

The middle defender quickly ran to the ball and jumped catching the ball before it went out of bounds.

"Nice save Kanzawa." His teammate said while passing the ball to his other teammate. They then set the ball for the team leader on the trampoline who spiked the ball down.

But Nana was quick to react and tried to block it but the leader had spiked the ball with a lot of power so it deflected off her hand.

Gojo who was on the left side was just a second too slow to react and missed the ball finally giving the other team a point on the leaderboard.

"Hell yeah, Nice setting man." The leader said as the team got together to celebrate while team Hinamatsuri comforted Gojo who continuously apologized.

The game continued to play out as normal and there weren't any major upsets like their last match.

But with a clean set from Yame to Nana they were able to score the final point they needed to win the match.

{ And that's another win for team Hinamatsuri and an unfortunate but hard-worked loss from Team Chewblocka...may the force be with you.}

{ But with that said we finally have our 8 teams that are heading to the quarter-finals of this competition.

And those teams are Net Ninjas, That's what she set, Kiss My Ace, Gold Diggers, New Kids on the Block, Mission Unblockable, Blockbusters, and team Hinamatsuri.

This time around there will only be one round since there will only be four matches being played. All Teams have 8 minutes to prepare before the games begin.}

" Ahhhh~ I'm so tired already and we still need to play three more games, I feel like forfeiting." Yame said in a bitter tone as she rubbed her aching shoulders.

" This might help you a bit." Ekko suddenly said standing behind her.

" Huh, what are you...nghgggg~~~??" Yame exclaimed as she felt Ekko's rough but firm hands rub her shoulders or more specifically her traps and deltoids.

'This...is this heaven...his hands there so, I feel like I could fall asleep at any moment...' Yame exclaimed feeling the electrifying sensation Ekko was causing throughout her shoulders.

After two minutes Ekko stopped his massaging and when Yame finally noticed that delightful sensation was gone, she pouted.

' It's over already...but I want it to continue.' Yame thought to herself, meanwhile, Gojo and Nana who had watched the whole ordeal were curious.

They looked at each other and thought.' Did his message really feel that good?' And as if reading their mind's Ekko stood behind Gojo before performing the same godly techniques on him.

And after two minutes Gojo was left in the exact same state as Yame, they both looked at his hands longingly like they were looking at an Ex they still loved.

Nana was his final victim, and by the end of her two minutes, she had sworn to herself that she would get Ekko to give her a full-blown massage in the future.

She had gone with her sister to massage parlors multiple times and could immediately tell Ekko was far superior to any of the Massuers she had ever gone to.

From that day forth they nicked named Ekkos hands the hands of Midus. Ekko had no idea about this and even if he did he probably wouldn't really care.

Eight minutes shortly flew by and the quarter-finals were officially about to begin.

{ Welcome back folks, I hope you got your refreshments and snacks because the start of the quarter-finals is about to commence.

But let's just quickly show you a recap of all the most exciting moments before we announce each team's opponents.}

Then on all the screens in the school, it showed the highlights of all the cool and awesome moments so far. They even included Yame's thirst trap which embarrassed the girl to no end while it got a laugh from her teammates.

Then they showed Ekko's unexpected and stylish bicycle kick that got a lot of the students Re-hyped and a good deal of them even screen-recorded the clip before posting it on their social media and chat groups.

{ Now then to announce the next matchups.

First, we have team Net Ninjas who are led by Nakano Fuji of class 2-D, they are up against Team Kiss My Ace who are led by none other than Meiko Shiraki of Class 2-A and the student Vice president of the student council.}

" Kyaaaaaa~~~ Look at me Nee sama."

" Oh my god, she's even more beautiful in person, and so are her *cough*"

"Hey, don't you dare defile my goddess with those filthy eyes of yours, that's my future girlfriend you know."

Similar statements were being said all around but it appeared that a lot of students admired and even had a crush on the vice prez.

And Ekko honestly couldn't blame them...well there were two very big reasons why...' Are high schoolers even supposed to be that big?'

{ And for the second match we have a fan Favorite team, Gold Diggers that are led by Saeko Busujima also from class 2-A, and the captain of the Kendo club.

Their opponents are team That's what she set, led by Hiroko Hoshi of class 2- E and a member of the girl's basketball team.}

Ekkos' Intrest peaked hearing that, he loved playing basketball in England, especially with his friends and Shelly, so hearing there was a basketball team he was tempted to go check them out sometime.

Though of course he hadn't forgotten his promise to Kaori and was sure to pick the music club if nothing else piqued his interest.

Speaking of which he looked around the stands before spotting a set of familiar blonde hair.

Looking at Kaori she was sitting with what he presumed to be her friends, and she too was looking at him. Ekko winked at her while she chuckled and mouthed the words good luck.

Ekko mouthed back a 'thanks' before Concentrating on the next two announcements.

{ For the third Match the teams playing are Team New Kids on the Block led by student Takashi Komuro from class 2-D.

And the team facing off against them is team Mission Unblockable led by Tadashi Kotestu from Class 2-C.}

{And For our fourth and final match we have Team Block busters led by Aoshi Bokuto from Class 2-F and team Hinamatsuri led by Student Nana Sunohara from Class 2-B and a fan favorite to win this whole competition.

But anything and everything is possible and anyone of these teams could claim the title of champion.

Things are really heating up now, so what are we waiting for, teams, get to your inflatables, you have 5 minutes to prepare.}

Since the announcement was over the players walked to their specific battlegrounds while students cheered them on.

A lot of students were crossing their fingers in hope that the teams they bet on would win their respective matches or better yet become the champions.

Minori certainly was as she clenched the betting tickets in her pocket.
