Chapter 101

The mc said hyping up the crowd. The mc approached the beautiful mysterious woman and asked for her name. When he received it he told her to sit next to Cana so they could start.

" CANA OUR NEW CHAMPION VS KAZEHANA THE FREE SPIRIT FROM THE EAST!!!"

Cana stared at Kazehana with a smirk while Kazehana blew her tongue at her.

Sparks flew between the two ladies but the crowd didn't seem to notice.

"Whoever drinks more sake cups than the other without throwing it back up will be the winner of this second competition, well then ladies when you're ready...BEGIN."

{Yakushi festival: With Ekko}

" Man that Ramen was nice, though serious question where the hell did all that Wanko soba go, you don't even look like you have a full stomach." Ekko asked Koizumi in a fascinated tone.

Koizumi in response performed my lips are shut gesture indicating that she wouldn't tell him.

" Fine suit yourself...so what are you doing after this." Ekko asked and Koizumi paused for a brief second before replying.

" I don't know." Besides trying out the food she didn't know what else she wanted to do." Well, the nights still young wanna play a few stall games."

Koizumi tilted her head in thought before she nodded in agreement. So the two just spent their time walking around and trying out the games. The first game they tried was Kingyo-suki or Goldfish catching with a paper scoop.

Safe to say he and Koizumi were banned from playing after winning over 25 goldfish. But not intending to keep them they just gave them away to some random kids.

The next game was a shooting game, Ekko managed to shoot all the targets down while Koizumi was struggling to hit any of the moving targets.

Though she tried to hide it Ekko could feel her frustration, so before she was about to shoot a second time he came behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders.

" Relax Koizumi, take a deep breath in from your diaphragm. Close one of your eyes and pay close attention, if you can't shoot the moving target try to anticipate where it will go.

The targets have a set of practiced movements, you find that pattern and you win the game."

The more Ekko spoke into her ear the calmer Koizumi became strangely enough. She took a deep breath in while carefully observing the targets, and just like Ekko had said there was a pattern.

She breathed...she aimed...she waited, and then...she fired.

{Bang}

Just before the target was in sight she shot the gun and managed to actually hit the target.

A rare excited smile graced her usual unemotional face, and Ekko seeing her so happy smiled as well.

" Congratulations you managed to hit it." Ekko said as Koizumi finally noticed how close the two of them were and immediately escaped his grasp.

Ekko chuckled and the two continued walking around and playing games, though Koizumi would take a few quick glances at Ekko every now and then.

But finally, Koizumi said she had to leave in around 25 minutes so they decided to try out one more attraction.

And the one they chose was the foxy mirror maze. " Well this looks fun, and there aren't too many people in line."

The pair waited for a few minutes before it was their turn to go in, and in less than 2 minutes they had already lost each other.

How that even happened, Ekko had no idea.

" So what do you think, who won and who made the better dish." Soma asked Rangiku as she finished her third bowl of soup.

Both Eris and Masane were dragged into becoming judges for the son and father's little competition and not surprisingly Eris dident want to be rude and thought both dishes were amazing so she gave them both a vote.

Masane was clear-cut in what she liked and voted for Jōichirō soup. So it was 2-1 and Rangiku's vote would decide whether this would be a draw or a win.

" The dish I'm voting for was peppery and piquant, the spineses yet the sharpness of the ingredients blended into one hot bowl of flavors just beat the one I'm not voting for.

Not to say it didn't have a kick of its own but I just didn't feel like it was speaking to me...so the dish I'm voting for is..."

The crowd leaned in and both father and son smiled expectantly at who she was going to vote for.

" So the person I'm voting for is...the old man." Rangiku said and Jorinchiro burst out into laughter while Soma grumbled in defeat.

" HAHAHA! Better luck next time soma, now what does that tally up to, 312 wins for me and 312 loses for you." Both father and son chided each other as they wrote down the score in their own personal tally book.

" Thanks for the amazing meal, but we need to start heading off." Rangiku said but before they left Jorinchiro gave her a box of free food to go.

" Take it, it's on the house, and if your ever free don't be shy and drop by our restaurant, it's called Restaurant Yukihira."

" I certainly will, I'll see you around." Rangiku said as Eris gave them a friendly wave goodbye.

Once they were out of sight Jōichirō couldn't help but chuckle.' Those ladies they had amazing will's, to think that my food could only make the shoulder straps of their dresses fall.

I know I wasn't going all out but...those girls are definitely special, I wonder if any of them are single, maybe Soma might have a chance.'

Jōichirō thought as he looked at his son, but seeing him cackling madly while writing down disgusting food combinations like Sossage pork and gummy bears or blue cheese with peaches.

' Ye, maybe in the future.' Jōichirō thought while going back to the waiting customers.

{Yakushi festival: With Ekko}

After spending 10 minutes in that mirror maze Ekko was finally able to see the exit but just as he was about to leave, someone had bumped into him.

" Oh sorry, I didn't see you there." Ekko apologized while the other person in question just stared at him.

Ekko could see it was a woman from her dress and curves but since she was wearing a fox max he couldn't see her face.

Though something that did attract his attention were those golden eyes of hers, but curiously enough those eyes of hers looked oddly familiar.

And before Ekko could say anything more the mystery woman grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the maze.

Ekko was just about to forcibly pull back his hand, but on second thought didn't as he was interested in what his person wanted.

He let out his senses and knew where Koizumi was, she would be exiting the maze in maybe around five minutes or so.

The woman in question dragged Ekko to a corner and unshamefully wrapped her arms around Ekko's neck while coming in close and whispering in his ear.

" I'm being followed, could you do me a favor and act like we're making out, try to make it authentic." She said in a raspy tone.

Ekko looked around and wouldn't you know it he did indeed find some suspicious people looking for something. Though the moment he saw what they were wearing Ekko had an epiphany.

' Those uniforms, they're the same ones that Rangiku was wearing when she said she awakened parts of her power, and this cat-like smell I'm getting from this woman..."

It only took a few seconds but Ekko was ninety-nine percent certain of who this mysterious woman was, and that this person wasn't in danger but was trying to just tease him instead.

' Hahaha, Don't think you can tease me so easily as you did my lover little kitty, since you've so openly thrown yourself into my arms dont think you can escape.

Hehe, I'm killing two birds with one stone.'

" For how long." Ekko asked playing along with this little game of hers.

"Five minutes." Yoruichi replied.

' Perfect.'
