Chapter 293: Crazy Sword Battle

[Island]

Even though Akito managed to save Iris, him on the otherhand is in quite a peril as the sword drawn by the boss is slowly pressing him down to the ground. In fact the force boss sword swing was so heavy that it forced Akito to take a knee in order to support himself from blocking the sword.

Sweat streak down his face, as his whole body shook from trying to lift the enemy's sword. Thankfully Iris noticed that Akito was struggling, as she quickly ran away and hid in order to not get in Akito's way. After all as long as Akito is focused in protecting her, he would never be able to go on the offensive and defeat this almost impossible boss.

Once Iris hid herself, Akito then let out a smile, as he used all of his reserve strength and tried to push away the sword that the boss had drawn. Naturally the boss himself noticed this, as he lifted his sword and tried to slash down again to kill the enemy in front of him.

However Akito took this chance to roll away to dodge the swing, and counter attack towards the boss. Surprisingly the moment he got up and counter attack, the boss already recovered from his initial attack and begun simultaneously attacking once more, the moment Akito made his swings.

Due to that, both of their attacks clashed agaisnt one another, as both of them slightly pulled away, before exchanging blows after blows with their own swordmanship. Sword agaisnt sword, slash agaisnt slash, metal against metal, all in all both Akito and the boss had clashed against each other 30 times under 5 seconds.

After that 30th clash, the boss suddenly took a large horizontal swing, causing Akito to flip over in order to dodge the attack, and ducked down when the boss decided to do a quick reverse swing. After dodging those two attacks, Akito made an upward swing, only to be blocked by the boss Arm guard.

Clicking his tongue, Akito quickly swung his sword once more, as the boss mirrored his intent and also swung his sword towards him.

From that 31st clash, both of them lightly pushed away each other, as they spun around simultaneously and attacked once more with their specialized attacks. In that moment Akito was shocked as the monster spoke with its dark raspy voice.

"Tomura's First offensive sword form Wansutoraiku (One strike)"

"Third Form Kaminari no tsume (Thunderous Claw)"

"!!!"

With that clash, a huge explosion rung out, completely defeaning the area and even shocking all the students who were spectating the fight. For the students who weren't that experienced in seeing a real death battle, they were all awe struck as they can't seem to pull away their sight, in this fight that seemed so even despite the opponent being a boss monster and the challenger a student like them.

Because of that, all the spectating students simply watched the fight, and completely ignored Iris who was literally defenseless.

On there otherhand after the explosion happened, a huge towering smoke climbed up into the air, as clashes of swords can be seen from within the cloud, due to friction they caused by every attacks they made. Soon after Akito was first to jump out of the smoke, as he looked around frantically, before he looked up and quickly blocked the attack when the boss monster jumped above him and swung downward.

Pushing away the enemy's sword, Akito quickly turned to face the opponent, only to jump away when he saw the boss monster quickly slashing down his sword.

After dodging that attack, Akito slowly stood up, as the boss monster did the same, and both of them staring intently at each other.

Looking at each other eye to eye, both of them observed each h ither movements, as the wind blew pass them and the tall grass made their sounds which looked quite serene. This type of scenery was literally out of samurai fiction.

Two enemies standing at tall grass and only one of them may survive, such tales perfectly fits the myths of swordmanship.

Not long after Akito walked clockwise, while the boss monster mirrored his movements as both of them continued to stare at each other. Soon after when both of them stopped walking, they then soon entered into a stance, as the boss monster held his sword perpendicular to his eyes, while Akito held his sword below his waist aiming for a low swing.

The moment both of them entered into a stance, the tension suddenly rose between them as Akito clearly could hear his own breathing. Was he nervous? Yes he was. All the battle he experienced thus far is literally a death battle. If he made one wrong move here, he may find himself killed by the opponent's weapon. However even though he was nervous, he was also excited.

Excited to fight such an enemy which boils his blood, because of his excitement, adrenaline rushed to his head as he felt like the whole world suddenly turned slower and him in a completely different domain. All in all he does not feel scared in front of his opponent. In comparison to his other peers, he is cut above the rest.

In that moment when the bird flew away from the nearest tree and made its first flapping sound, both Akito and the boss begun activating their own mana. Akito's mana was like a mix of violent wave of water and nature ready to cause natural destruction, on the otherhand the boss mana clearly looks like an lightning clad which empowers his destructiveness and meant to harm the world of life.

After charging up like that both of them charged towards each other as they swung their swords imbued with their own mana and begun their proper fight.

After that initial clash, both of them flew back at their respective opposite direction, as they quickly recovers and begun attacking once more.

As Akito chose to charge forward, the boss on the other hand entered into a stance once more and waited for Akito to come a bit closer. The moment Akito stepped into his range, the boss quickly pulled out his sword and used another one of its skills.

"Second Form Raitoningu kumonosu (Lightning Cobweb)"

Launching multiple slash at the same time to form like a web like area of attack, Akito was completely caught off guard as he barely block some attacks aimed at his vital spots, while leaving out some areas defenseless, causing him to be the first one to spill out blood.

As if that wasn't enough, the boss entered into a stance once more and launch a range attack at this very moment.

"Fourth Form Rakurai (Lightning Strike)"

The attack came from above, as Akito noticed that the sky had turned dark by the clouds. Because it came from an unexpected place contradictory to its caster, Akito was caught on it once more, as he quickly bit the tip of his tongue to prevent himself from losing consciousness. However even if he did kept his consciousness in tact, his whole body was paralyzed, giving ample space for the enemy to attack him.

Just like he expected the boss quickly took the chance to rush up to him and inflict a major wound to his side. Thankfully before he joined this test, he had already taken into account on how to protect himself in case he was paralyzing due to poisoning. The only answer he could come up with was that he needed to wear some sort of protection gear. So with that he wore a quite tough leather armor which made the wound not that fatal and only appear as flesh wound.

On the otherhand thanks to that wound, Akito quickly got out from his paralyzed state and immediately distanced himself away from the boss monster.

Upon seeing his current state of self, Akito couldn't help but pull out a healing potion which he had gotten from Shun while they were still on the ship. Even though he hate relying on such objects, he has no choice on this matter since the goal of this test was either to survive for 1 month or find the treasure on the island. Since he literally has no idea where the treasure is, he's most probable way to pass this test was to survive. With that, he then chugged down the healing potion, which completely healed his wound and restored his vitality.

When the boss monster saw this, he then glared at Akito, as if offended by such cheap tricks.
