Chapter 287: Swordsman vs Golem II

In that moment when he was fully injured his right side of the body, the student from the Ballad Academy who was the maker of the Golem knight that Akito was fighting, finally arrived at the scene on top of a beast type golem that he rode to get to their location.

Despite all the destruction that their battle had caused, the student was even more surprised to see that Akito was still standing strong despite fighting the golem he had made to deal with him. Apparently according to his calculations, the golem was supposed to have dealt him in a matter of few minutes. He had also researched about Akito through the records he had left behind and made a golem which is capable enough to counter Akito as if it was his own natural predator.

Even though all of those was what Akito heard, he is currently having a hard time hearing everything as his ears kept ringing due to his eardrums being proc by the loud explosions that happened near him. However one thing for sure is that the student from the Ballad Academy really intended to take down all of the notable students he had observed in order to pass this test with high colors.

In actuality, the thought of him dealing with the golem's creator first passed his mind, after all it is common knowledge that once the golem creator was dealt first, it will then be easy to deal with the said golem and finish it off. All of this is due to the assumption that the golem creator controls the golems movement like a command center.

However despite getting that kind of idea, Akito brushed it off to the side as he golem was there to protect its creator, what's more the golem is literally strong enough to kill him if he ever let go of his guard or show his back. Since the golem was strong enough to the point that Akito must not let go away from his sight, he then can't afford to attack its creator first while dealing with the golem afterwards. After all the golem was locked unto him.

Unfortunately, even though Akito wanted to fight the golem more, he can't even fight it properly since the right side of hus body is completely wounded, which affected the way he fights. With that  he then decided to retreat while looking for a chance to patch himself up. But in order to do that, he needed to escape here first.

"Tomura's First Tactical Sword form Megakuramu kuroi karasu (Blinding Black Crow)"

While the golem creator was busy yelling out his frustrations at his golems, a single black feather suddenly entered his sight, as his whole ability to see was temporarily stolen from him, causing him to temporarily be blind. Naturally this caused him to panic, as he fell onthe ground and begun shouting in panic by bring out golem to protect him.

The moment the golem creator panicked from that simple diversion, Akito then used this chance to ran away on the opposite direction with the hope of hiding out while recuperating from his injuries.

However unexpectedly his diversion didn't work on the golem knight, as it suddenly appeared beside Akito and Struck him down in a single swing. With the only choice to block the attack, Akito was blown back on the tree trunks, as he held in the pain before glaring at the golem.

But the golemwas relentless as it suddenly dashed towards him once more and slashed out his sword with an intent to cut off his head. In response to that, Akito ducked down to avoid the swing and quickly rolled diagonally, the moment the golem struck down his sword.

Afterwards Akito pulled himself up quickly as he used another technique in order to fend off the golem.

"Tomura's Third offensive sword form Ken no Nami (Sword Wave)"

In a single exploding slash, Akito was blown back, as he rolled all over the ground, before he used his injured arm to push himself off the ground and start running away. Sadly the golem just wouldn't let him escape as it suddenly catches up from behind and slashed down its sword.

Surprised that his attack didn't even damaged the golem, Akito quickly flipped forward, as he slashed his sword while in reverse in mid air.

"Tomura's First offensive sword form Wansutoraiku (One strike)"

With that strike, the golem was blown back by a few blocks, as it crashed through multiple trees, before it fell to the ground.

After gaining distance between them, Akito quickly made a run for it as he rushed away with all his might, naturally the golem creator summoned more golems with the specialty of speed to catch him, which puts Akito on a really tight spot.

In that moment Akito saw a canyon up ahead, as he quickly went inside the tight canyon and asserted a one way canyon which could lessen the pressure he had agaisnt his pursuers. With such a tight entrance, his pursuers would have no choice but to file a single line in order to catch up to him. And just as he expected, once his pursuers manage to reach the entrance of the tight canyon, they then formed a single line.

In that moment right before Akito could fully take ahold of such an opportunity to destroy them one by one, a huge wall of ice blocked the path, causing the chasing golems to rampage on the tight space. However not long after, Iris suddenly appeared out of nowhere and begun casting three magic circle at the same time.

"Ice bullet!!!"

"Ice missiles!!!"

"Frozen pathway!!!"

With three spells attacking at the same time, the whole path was littered with hard ice, as Iris literally saved Akito from getting pounded by mere golems.

"Iris!!!"

"Akito! We only haven't seen each other for a couple of hours and you already look like shit" said by Iris as she points out his injured arm

"This... hehehe, I just let my guard down, don't worry this is nothing but  scratch to me"

"Quit a rung tough will you?!?! I know that you are hurting, drink this first"

As Iris said that, she then threw in a healing potion, which surprised Akito to the point that he even questions where she got such potions.

"This..."

"Heal up! I can't afford to have you be a burden to me, I need my sword in its best condition so drink it"

Hearing that, Akito smiled for a bit as he replied.

"Sure thing my lady"
