Chapter 285: Final Practical Exam (Island) VIII

Located at another part of the gigantic island, Akito is currently on the run as he encountered a seemingly quite a troublesome opponent. It wasn't a monster of some kind, but rather another student that came from the Ballad Academy.

He doesn't know the reason why he is being attacked, but it seems like the person himself is hell bent on taking him out despite knowing full well he is. In fact the situation didn't start like this at all.

Going back a few minutes before the present, Akito was just roaming around with a mission to find Iris in this whole huge gigantic island. Since he is also partially worried for her well being, Akito prioritized her safety first rather than accomplishing the task of the test. There was literally no monsters in the area at all in comparison to Shun's area, due to that Akito somewhat made it into a stroll while trying to find Iris.

Soon after he then found the student that came from the Ballad Academy rummaging through the rocks. Naturally Akito made his presence known to the student and even showed his goodwill, likewise the student simply smiled and greeted h back accordingly. However everything changed the moment he introduced himself.

As of the person himself was waiting for a chance to eliminate him, the student suddenly begun to emit a very sharp killing intent, causing Akito to snap back into reality and prepared himself to counter attack at any given time.

What Akito didn't expect that the student himself used his own magic to call forth his golem which is on stand-by in his spatial pocket, and begun to attack Akito. However summoning a single golem was nothing to Akito himself, after all he was strong enough to survive a terrorist attack, so taking on the golem is comparatively much an easier battle.

Unfortunate Akito didn't expect that the golem is so advance that it seemed like it has a will of its own. The golem literally moves like an expert warrior. A golem knight, simply fact a golem shaped into a knight. With enough tinkering through its circuits, a golem is capable to even imitate a human movements. Akito literally did not expect that.

Due to that Akito begun to have a hard time against the golem, causing him to enter a stalemate situation between the golem and him. With that Akito the decided to retreat which then led us to the current situation.

He didn't know why the students seemed to be switched up when he heard his name, but one thing is for sure, he is literally targeting him and him alone.

What's more troublesome is that the golem had an excellent tracking system, due to that, it manages to always find him, no matter where he hide.

As he thought of these, he suddenly felt the golem presence coming in hot from behind, which forced Akito to suddenly sprung into action and move despite the rain running down hard unto them.

In that moment just right between the tangled trees, the golem suddenly sprung out and swung down its sword towards Akito himself, in response to that Akito suddenly took a jump backwards, as he dodged the attack, while at the same time counter attacking the golem in a single dash and slash.

However just as expected his sword bounced back after getting struck by his sword, which entails that the student must have used a very special material which even unabled his sharp sword from even leaving a scratch at its body.

With such a hard exterior, Akito quickly zigzagged all around the Golem, as he quickly jumped and striked its on its face. Unfortunately that did little to nothing at all, as the Golem moved and swing down his sword diagonally as a counter back towards Akito's previous attack.

However already saw through that movement, as he quickly moved at its back and attacked it in three strikes. In that act, the golem quickly swung its sword behind him, only to be dodged by Akito followed a thrusting strike which knocked back the golem.

In that moment the student who made the golem finally arrived as he said to Akito.

"Don't resent me, I have no grudge against you at all, it's just that you need to be eliminated here if I want a chance to even pass the exam"

"So you think I'm an easy picking is that it?"

"Nope your not am easy one, that's why I made that golem... that golem is specifically made to counter you, since that is the case, you have no chance of defeating it... I know all about your fighting capabilities Akito, that's why I know that you have no chance against my golem... so I advice you to give up"

Hearing that, Akito couldn't help but laugh at it, as he felt like he is being underestimated now by a person who he doesn't even know.

"You really underestimated me aren't you, fine! I'll show you that this piece of junk is no match against me, after that... I'll eliminate you by my honor as a swordsman"

"Just like I wanted! Golem! Attack!"

As the Golem took its charge, Akito suddenly gathered mana into his sword as he finally used one of his skills.

"Tomura's First offensive sword form Wansutoraiku (One strike)"

As golem and sword clashed, the golem then pushed forward despite Akito's resistance as it parried away Akito's attack after the initial clash, before it slams down its sword towards him from above. However Akito outmanuevered the golem as he then stances and attacked  the golem joints.

"Tomura's Second Tactical  Sword Form Sakura no odori (Dance of the cherry blossom)"

Using a sword form to easily navigate his way through its joints, The golem was stunned for a moment, before the student repaired it remotely from afar.

"Remote repair? That's a cheat"

However before Akito could fully show his complaints, the golem suddenly charged at him and attacked while he was distracted.

Just like that a huge explosion rung out from another part of the island.
