Chapter 226: The First Convention

It took about three weeks of preparation for the whole club to establish the very first convention of this world. During those times, each and every member accomplished what was asked of them and was able to produce positive response.

First off to tackle was Cedric himself, during this time span, Cedric went to talk with the principal of the academy about their plan to establish the very first convention of their club related to the term Anime that both Shun and Wendy had talked about. Throughout his conversation with the principal, it took quite awhile for Cedric to explain the significance of the convention and even explain to him what anime is.

In fact even before he got to this point, he was also confused what anime is. But after the discussion in the club ended, both Shun and Wendy took out a image recording crystal on their own bags and projected them the anime they spoke off. Through that session, Cedric could only describe the anime as something as 'fascinating', after all never did it occur to him that image recording crystal could be used to produce entertainment product in a form of moving pictures, it was a phenomenal experience.

The plot, stories, world building, and even common knowledge was quite different from the plays that he had seen in the capital city of the kingdom.

By using that, Cedric borrowed the image recording crystal and showed what anime is towards the principal, after all seeing it with its own two eyes is much more efficient to explain it rather than words. In the end the principal was hooked towards such new form of entertainment that even his secretary and advisor were surprised by this new way of performance.

Their expression was totally the same when he and the others in the club except Sephiria saw such a scene. Nevertheless seeing their expression, Cedric was confident that he would receive a go sign. Now last but not the least, he also explained to them about the term cosplay, which made everyone in the room shocked and excited at the same time. After all cosplay is something relates the same as role play, you can portray any character you like in this new type of show or any performance in real life.

In comparison to stage plays wherein you can only see the characters on stage and never interact with them, cosplay is something along the line of 100% audience interaction. One moment you could be hand shaking a famous fantasy character, the other second you could be talking to them. Such an idea was so grand that the principal then gave his go sign for them to use the arena and everything near its vicinity as the venue for the convention.

But naturally there is a catch, the catch here is that the event will be open for all, meaning not only will the convention be open for the academy's students, but it will also be open to other people outside such as other academies, commoner, nobility, royals, and such. Because of that Cedric couldn't help but envision that this convention would be a big one.

The moment this info was was told to everyone in the club, not only were they surprised, but now they even felt the pressure from it. The convention should have been a fun event, but now with everything on the line, they cant afford to lose face, much less since important figures would attend the said convention.

With that Sephiria, Millia and Tony, then begun contacting the various special guest of the convention as they explained the convention and just how great it will be. Luckily for them, since the convention would have a large audience and has the honor to meet the royalty, all the said special guest to perform in their convention then gave a positive reply as they begun scheduling the event in their busy schedule.

Alongside it both Aria and Shier  managed to get the commerce guild full cooperation due to the help of Leah who had connection to both Millia and Shun. Not only that since many prominent figure will attend the convention, such grand piece of opportunity to make connection cant be missed at all. In the end because of the scale of attendees, everything went smoothly.

As for Shun and Wendy, since only the both of them has a mountain of knowledge of anime and convention, they were in charge of making the merchandise, booth, stage, and cosplay that they will distribute towards their partners. Everything was just so busy.

Of course such grand scale event naturally reached the ears of King Hendrick, Queen Annabeth, prince Roland , and princess Ivory, basically Cedric's family. The moment they heard such an event, they were then skeptical at first, before Cedric explained it to them through the letter which made them honor his wishes. With that they were then scheduled to attend the event in all of its days.

At last after three weeks of preparation to the point that none of the club members could rest, it was then finally the day of the event. Day 1, the presumably opening day of the event. After further deliberation the event was then officially announced as a three day event for everyone, all three days will have activities reaching out till night fall and due to its popularity many people then applied to become special guest for such event which totaled it to the point of 28 special guest which will be divided for three days.

The first day should have been quite calm, after all based on what Wendy and Shun, the convention should only be fully packed and crowded on the second day onwards, But never did they expect that in just one day, the whole venue itself was filled to the brim with attendees.

Both inside the arena and the outside was filled with people, it was truly an event at such a grand scale, that not even the huge event area could handle it.

All their commerce partners were busy in their own booth trying to accommodate their customers, some were even busy in entertaining the attendees with the merchs of the event. but most of all the cosplayers themselves were swarmed by people as far as the eye can see.

The characters that their partner cosplays are naturally characters from the famous stories and tales of this world. Some cosplayed characters that existed in the past, while other cosplayed characters from the fantasies of stories. Since its like their idols came to life in this events, cosplayers were naturally the number one attraction in this area. one could even see that each cosplayers has its own crowd that is following them around and even took the chance to interact with them.

All in all there are about 300 cosplayers in the event, and yet all of this cosplayers were swarmed by the crowd. naturally the clothes for this cosplays were all done by Shun and Wendy after multiple nights of crafting and no sleep at all, but it was worth it.

In that moment as Kanzaki was looking at the abundant crowd of attendees, a particular group of exchange student then approach him from behind and took his attention away from the crowd.

"You've got quite an event here...."
