[Cave Dome]
Despite knowing that they are in a great danger, Mordred quickly snapped out of her daze as she begun to gather her red lightning mana unto the blade of her sword and swung the energy down towards Adelfried who just grabbed back his spear. Alongside it in order to raise the danger level of her attack, Merlin then quickly enhances her sword slash with his own magic as a temporary replacement for Diva's support magic.
Even thought his own supportive spell is way lower spec in comparison to diva's songs and requiem, he has his own style imbued unto his spell which adds the depth of his own illusion magic.
In that instant Mordred's energy wave slash looks more fiercer and destructive than its originally is. Not only that but Merlin even added a duplication spell on top of his illusion spell in order to copy Mordred's attack and summon its copies all around Adelfried. Lastly as a finishing touch, he then layered his fake duplication spell with realistic illusion which gave his own fakes the ability to actually deal destruction similar to the original despite being an illusion.
One of the big problems for an illusionist is that their spells and fakes lacks realism, due to that their opponents only needed time to get used to his illusion in order to counter its fakes and deal a massive blow against its caster. The only thing that can do in order to make up for such weakness is to immense their target into a deep illusion to the point that they cant even discern what's real or fake.
However this tactic has its own flaws. Such flaw is that such illusion doesn't affect people with strong mental resistance and people who are so strong to the point that they're senses are inhumane. With such clear flaw, Merlin then created an illusion spell which harmonize its wavelength the same as the real thing. That is what's called as realistic illusion.
Since his spell despite being fakes has the same tendencies as the real attack, one contact from its fakes could literally blow away a part of Adelfried's body. Unfortunately Adelfried also knew Merlin's tendencies to turn his illusion into reality.
One fact is that he had fully researched and investigated Merlin's capacity even before enacting their attack on the Kingdom, Second is that the Aquasphere itself have already experienced in fighting against his realistic illusio9n when it was under Asmodeus command. Due to that he mostly guarded himself from Merlin's illusion to the point that he literally has no openings whatsoever.
With a flick of its wrist Adelfried erected a mobile barrier around himself and defended himself from from the bombardment of both Mordred's and Merlin's attack.
The moment the bombardment ended, smoke then filled the area, as Akito swept through the smoke and stru7ck a surprise attack from his right.
"Tomura's First offensive sword form Wansutoraiku (One strike)"
Due to the immense power hidden beneath the strike of Akito, his one attack literally shook the barrier protecting Adelfried forcing the latter to actually took a leap back to put a distance between them. However after that one attack, Akito jumps in further as he brought down another devastating blow which forced Adelfried to block with his own spear.
"Tomura's Second offensive sword form Takai kinchō (High Strung)"
However in comparison to his previous attack, this attack on the other hand focuses on fatality, accuracy, and swiftness in executing the technique, thus when it is blocked, its purpose literally loses its meaning. The moment it got blocked, Adelfried then pushed off Akito away from him for about a few centimeter into the air as he quickly maneuvered his spear on his hand to change his handling position and used it to enact a triple slash even before the latter landed on the ground.
Unfortunately Akito easily parried all three of his attacks as he landed unto the ground before executing another technique from his roster.
"Tomura's Second Tactical Sword Form Sakura no odori (Dance of the cherry blossom)"
Pulled unto Akito's momentum, Adelfried then also quickly retaliated with his own spell which enhances his spearman ship in order to contend against Akito sword movement which always baffles him because of its randomness. After experiencing it first hand on what the sword dance can do back when they fought in the royal castle, he couldn't help but feel like he was fighting something that was hard to catch even with his combat prowess.
With a slight change of his movement, Akito would then move accordingly which would prevent him from landing a strike against him while guaranteeing a 100% counter back towards him. After experiencing such weird sword dance which literally nulled his combat prowess, he then thought of multiple counter measures if he ever encounter such technique again.
In the end he came into the conclusion that the only thing that could counter something untouchable was to also execute an untouchable movement which nullifies any form of attack. Aside from the wind element which guided Akito's movement throughout his sword dance, the element of water itself is also akin to something flexible. Thus the moment Akito used such skill, Adelfried then begun to also use his own card to play against it.
"Water Stride"
With a sword dance and a spear dance begun colliding against each other as technique counter against its relative technique, both Akito and Adelfried begun exchanging numerous blows against each other while simultaneously moving from one spot to another.
Due to the speed on which they were fighting, Mordred and the others couldn't even get in towards their quick combat against each other as one person is fully focused unto another. If any of them were to even step in, they would then break the momentum between them to the point that one of them would receive a fatal blow. A type of 50-50 chance wherein their ally might take the fatal blow.
Not long after for about a 3 minutes, their brawl against each other finally ended as Adelfried got pushed back from a strike from Akito's swing while also leaving a huge wound across the person's arm. Even thought Akito managed to injure Adelfried, its wounds then soon slowly healed as one aspect of water was it healing property.
Upon seeing the wound he inflicted slowly being healed, Akito couldn't help but grit his teeth in annoyance due to its healing aspect. On the other hand Adelfried seemed surprised that the only damage he dealt was a wound on its arm. Just by seeing the comparative result of the combat technique, his techniques was still somewhat lacking in comparison to Akito's sword dance.
However the rest of the guys in the area, wouldn't just let such opportunity go the moment they broke off from one another. The moment Adelfried got pushed back away from Akito and was in the middle of healing his wounds, Mordred then came swooping in with her destructive red lightning mana and smashed a blast towards him in a point blank range
However her attack dealt no such additional damage unto Adelfried as the person himself instantly erected a mobility barrier around him. Thus when he quickly switches his attention towards Mordred and prepared to attack, he then spun around in order to avoid her landing while grabbing his spear into a throwing position aiming for her head.
But before he could let go of his spear in order to kill her in one strike, Merlin then casted a restriction spell around his vicinity, causing him to be fully suppressed on his spot and unable to even move a single finger. With such opportunity, Mordred then swept up her sword and dealt a massive slash right across Adelfried's body.
