Ending Ling Kun

Ling Xiao looked coldly at Ling Kai and said "You are disrespecting a respected Elder of the family at such an occasion. Tell me, who gave you the guts to do so?"

Ling Kai somewhat returned to his senses with that sentence. His face paled as he tried to explain "Patriarch, I -"

But Ling Xiao cut him off again as he said "I have been noticing from the very beginning, do not take me for a fool. Everything you have been doing so far was an act against my grandson, was it not? Do entertain us, who instructed you do do so?"

Ling Kai wanted to turn to his grandfather to ask for help, but a sudden chill at the back of his head reminded him that he should not expose Ling Kun. He stuttered and said "Patriarch, it was just a joke...see, everyone with me can testify."

However, most of his underlings had understood the situation and chose to remain from speaking. They were aware that the Patriarch was really angry and if they sided with Ling Kai, it could end them all and maybe even their families would be wiped out!

Seeing this, Ling Xiao said "Very well, then. Guards! Take him away and whip him till he he dies."

The others present sucked in a breath of cold air. The punishment was just too cruel. Only a few experienced people knew the real reason behind this order. Sure enough, Ling Kun could not hold on anymore. He shouted "Ling Xiao, you dare do this!"

He addressed him by name instead of Patriarch. This was enough for everyone to figure out who was behind the scenes. Ling Xiao sneered and said "I dare, so what? I know you are the one who has been pulling the strings from behind. Seeing as you have come out, does this mean all your cards have been use?"

"Hahaha since you know everything already there's no need to hide anymore. Ling Xiao, die!" Ling Kun yelled madly and released his aura. His aura caused many people to frown.

"Fourth Stage Spirit Grandmaster!" Ling Xiao's eyes narrowed as he measured the aura being emitted.

"Haha you did not expect this did you, now? I have been plotting this for nearly 5 years, how would I not take some extra care? Now that I'm in the same realm as you I can kill you and take the position of Patriarch." Ling Kun sinisterly said and launched a fist towards Ling Xiao.

Everyone was taken aback at the sudden development, but contrary to everyone's expectations Ling Xiao was very calm. Ling Chen looked at the drama unfolding with a slight smile. Being of a higher level of cultivation, he was naturally able to sense that his grandfather had broken into the Fifth Stage of Spirit Grandmaster Realm long ago.
