Eira Kingston, a feared assassin, never imagined that death would lead her to transmigrate into the body of Ephyra Allen, the disgraced first daughter of the once-powerful Allen family. But what shocked her even more was the soft mechanical voice in her mind, addressing her as "master" and informing her that her soul had returned to its original body. Eira dismissed the strange voice, thinking she was having a post-death hallucination. But waking up in a hospital, with memories that weren’t hers flooding back, she was forced to confront the truth. Ephyra’s life had been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite being the legitimate daughter, she was labeled a bastard, shunned by all, and overshadowed by her scheming stepsister, who had stolen the love of her father and her betrothed. To make matters worse, the wealth and status the Allen family enjoyed were all thanks to Ephyra’s late mother, and the only reason she hadn’t been discarded entirely was due to her mother’s inheritance, locked away until she turned eighteen. But Eira wasn’t one to be defeated by circumstances. If she was going to live Ephyra’s life, she would do so on her own terms. She would destroy those who had caused Ephyra pain, claim the inheritance that was rightfully hers, and find out who was behind her own death. Because if there was one thing Eira knew how to do well, it was to survive—and make her enemies pay. However, being a high-schooler with nothing to her name wasn’t enough. As Ephyra, she’s powerless, but as an assassin, she’s lethal. Still, even that wasn't enough until she became the contracted wife of Lyle Aelion—a powerful, enigmatic figure in the business world with a secret illness. And it turns out, the only thing that can relieve him is her scent.

Chapter 1Black Rose

Lying on the concrete floor on the rooftop of one of the high-rise buildings in Century City (Los Angeles), Eira followed the red line that went through a floor-to-ceiling window and landed at the back of the head of a man laughing with other men in similar formal wear like him.

"Ciao stronza," she smiled and pulled the trigger. Not a second later, her target fell forward with a loud thud, surprising the others who scrambled around, panicked, realizing he had been assassinated.

{Bye-bye bitch.}

"94th target, eliminated." She stood up, disassembling her gun before placing it in a large case beside another custom-built weapon.

"Just six more before I retire." She rolled her neck, feeling the stiffness in her muscles. "Fuck, I can't wait."

Veering around, she took three steps and froze. Men in black combat suits surrounded her, with high-level guns pointed at her.

Mercenaries? Definitely not. These look like highly trained death machines.

Her eyes flicked from one man to the next, scanning the situation and calculating her odds. She quickly realized there was no easy way out of this one. Still, she couldn't help laughing, "Eight of you just for me? The one who sent you must really want me dead. Was it my sister?"

"No," One of the men replied coldly. "You've got plenty of enemies who want you dead. The only reason you're still breathing is that no one was powerful enough to kill you. But you made the mistake of crossing someone you shouldn't have, and now you'll pay for it with your life."

Eira chuckled, unfazed. "Honestly, I'm surprised it's not my sister who sent you." She raised an eyebrow. "Any chance you'll tell me who it was before I die?"

The men didn't humor her sarcasm. They raised their guns and opened fire without hesitation.

"Fuck me," Eira muttered, throwing herself to the side. One hand drew a gun from the holster on her thigh, while the other raised the case as a shield. She pulled the trigger, firing off a rapid succession of shots. Her aim was deadly precise, each bullet striking four out of eight of the figures—killing them instantly.

Unfortunately, she wasn't unscathed. A bullet tore through her left arm while another grazed her thigh.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Eira cursed as she hit the ground hard. Pain shot through her as the rough concrete scraped against her wounds. Still, she kept firing.

She wasn't going down without a fucking fight; even if she was doomed to die.

Sliding behind a metal cage for cover, sparks flew as bullets ricocheted off it. Hurriedly, she clawed open the case and yanked out an upgraded machine gun. It was heavy in her hands but lethal.

Let's just say her weapons were very fucking expensive and custom-made.

With blood dripping down her arm, she pressed a button, unleashing a barrage of bullets. Using this chance, she took off the cloth around her hand and used it to wrap her bleeding arm whilst the gun moved fast and fired even faster.

Turning around, she saw that only three remained. The fourth one had likely been caught off guard while the three that remained started leaping away from the radar of the gun. So Eira made it rotate 360°, the noise deafening as it emptied its rounds.

The machine gun was making a lot of noise which would have alerted almost everyone in the nearest buildings and some would have probably called the authorities. But too bad, she might be dead before they arrived.

How lucky she was.

Pointing her gun at the slowest of the three, she shot twice; both of the shots successfully hitting it in the head and the chest.

Whatever the hell they were, a bullet to the head and chest would kill them.

Before she could react, something struck her hand hard, sending her gun flying from her grip. A gloved hand grabbed her and hurled her toward the edge of the rooftop.

"Agh! Shit!" Eira groaned as she slammed into the railing, her head colliding with the metal. The pain was sharp, and she could feel blood running down her temple. She opened her eyes and forced a smirk. "You could've been more gentle. I'm a lady, you know? Ah." She joked but the figures weren't amused. They stood a few feet away, their weapons still trained on her.

"Eira Kingston, you're out of weapons. Surrender. Any last words?"

Eira smirked, but behind it, she felt bitter, angry and regretful. She wasn't afraid to die, but she wasn't ready to die just yet. "You really are robots, huh?" She chuckled, gripping the railing and pulling herself upright despite the pain. "Sorry, can't do that. I was taught not to give up. Anyway, you'll kill me either way. And yes, there is actually—any chance I could know who sent you?"

"There is no reason for you to know that, as you will be dead soon."

She scoffed. "Then fuck whoever it was, and I hope I get to kill them."

The words were barely out of her mouth before a hail of bullets tore through her body. The force knocked her back, her grip slipping as she plummeted over the edge of the rooftop. The world spun, and darkness began to close in. In her final moments, a single thought passed her lips like a wish: "I wish I could kill the fucker who sent them to kill me."

---

Deep within a shadowy, labyrinth structure echoing with the tormented cries of men and women alike, a dark, luxurious chamber sat in eerie silence. The only light in the room came from the large screens lining the walls, casting an icy glow across the room and illuminating a woman lounging on a velvet chair.

"Is it done?" Her voice cut through the silence, though she directed her question at no one in particular.

A figure emerged from the shadows behind her, their voice steady. "Yes, master. Eira Kingston is dead."

The woman smiled, her dark red lips curling in wicked satisfaction. "Good. Eira has only herself to blame for being overly smart."

The figure hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "And her sister?"

The woman's smile vanished, and her tone remained cold. "Leave her be, for now. But if she continues to covet what doesn't belong to her… do what must be done."

"Yes, master." The figure bowed and swiftly vanished into the darkness.

The woman turned back to the screens, her eyes gleaming with cruel satisfaction as she watched the bloody and gory scenes in front of her.

Rebirth: Pampered by My Children and Husband

After Lin Xu died, she discovered that the world she was in was a novel. Her eldest son liked to imprison the female protagonist of the novel, engaging in sinister villainous acts with a dark room play. Her youngest son would unfailingly draw substitute's blood and snatch substitutes' kidneys for the female protagonist’s legal antagonist — his unrequited love. Her only daughter was the romantic fool forever revolving around the male protagonist of the novel. If children are not disciplined, the mother is to blame. After being reborn, Lin Xu felt she should step in and discipline her wayward children. However, before she could take action, her eldest son’s dark, handsome, and usually cold face blushed slightly as he asked in a low voice, “Can I touch my head?” The middle son snorted and turned his head, his tone petulant, “I... I don’t want to go home, but if you insist, I'll do it begrudgingly.” The youngest daughter rushed over, mercilessly pushing her brothers aside, “Mom, come and teach me how to solve this problem~” Latter, both sons fought over the bowl of noodles Lin Xu cooked. What was a novel’s female protagonist? Nothing compared to their mother. The daughter transformed herself, letting nothing from any novel’s male protagonist interfere with her studies! The family was blissfully happy. Latter, the revived, amnesiac husband suddenly appeared, cornering her against the wall, his eyes full of struggle, “Even if you're married, I still love you.” Lin Xu pretended to be serious, “Is that so, then what should we do?” He hugged her tightly, his voice muffled and pained, “Divorce him!” Lin Xu chuckled secretly, “I’ll divorce him right away.” Latter, after the husband regained his memory, he said through gritted teeth, “Over my dead body will we divorce!”

So when he meets the cute and naive Lucinda Perry at the club, he decides to keep his true identity from her and find out if she was worth keeping. ***Excerpt*** What is more entertaining than a crazy side character? Say hello to Sonia and Bryan. Sonia's heart stopped beating for a second, and then different thoughts started flying right through her head at that same time. Bryan Hank? Her celebrity crush was kneeling right in front of her and asking her to be his wife? Was he mistaking her for someone? Was it possible this was a skit, or maybe this was like one of those celebrity pranks, and there were cameras around, waiting to capture her make a fool of herself? Or perhaps she was dreaming? Sonia wondered as she looked around them, but all she saw were curious onlookers. "Please! Be my wife and make me the happiest man on Earth," He said in a very loud voice that caught the attention of everyone. Her editor who she had been waiting on for over an hour because he was trying to sign a deal with a movie producer who was interested in one of her stories, showed up at that moment, "Sonia, you know Bryan Hank?" Her editor asked in genuine surprise as he watched the scene before him. It seemed like an hour had passed since Bryan went on his knees, but it had only been a minute. Bryan knew no lady would be crazy enough to accept such a crazy proposal, and even if any were, paying her off and calling off the whole thing would be easy since all he wanted was the scandal that could come from this. The headlines were either going to be about his rejected Marriage proposal or his supposed engagement, which would be enough to let Sophia off the hook. "Yes!" Sonia said as she bobbed her head excitedly and extended her finger for him to wear her the ring. "Yes?" Bryan asked in confusion when he heard her response. "Yes! I will be your wife and make you the happiest man in the world!" Sonia said with a giggle and wiggled her fingers until Bryan slid the ring down her finger. Surprisingly the ring was her exact size, and it sat on her finger like it was made just for her. The sound of applause erupted all around them as Sonia stood up with a big smile on her face and embraced Bryan before kissing him right on the lips. Bryan was slightly taken aback by her boldness but quickly recovered since this was his game, and he had to play along. He was the one who had approached her first, after all. So when she tried to break the kiss, he held her chin and slowly nibbled on her lower lip before parting her lips with his tongue and sucked on it in a teasing manner, eliciting a moan from Sonia. Sonia felt light-headed. This was too good to be true. It just had to be a dream. How else could she explain that one moment she was seated at the lobby of a hotel waiting for her editor, and the next she was engaged to her celebrity crush and was kissing him right here in the open? Transmigrated Into The True Heiress follows the journey of an assassin who finds herself transmigrated into the body of a timid, naive high school girl. Though supposedly the legitimate daughter of her household, she faces cruel treatment from her stepmother and sister. What I love most about this story is its smooth progression, free from irrelevant fillers or “commercial breaks.” Estrella keeps the storytelling focused and to the point. The writing style is descriptive and immersive, particularly during the action scenes, which are thrilling and will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s evident that the author has done thorough research, as the narrative feels refined and well-edited. As for the characters, Eira didn’t resonate with me immediately, though I admire her feisty, strong-willed nature, which is well-portrayed. However, some scenes, like her encounter with Jania, felt somewhat irrelevant. Mira’s motivations for her cruelty have been explained, and Alan, well, he has a truly disgusting personality! The introduction of the male lead, Lyle, is interesting, though I haven’t caught up with all the updates yet. I’m curious to see more about his sudden possessive interest in Eira/Ephyra. Is he a werewolf or perhaps a supernatural being? And why has the AI system gone silent around him? There were a few moments of confusion with the interchangeable use of “Eira” and “Ephyra” to refer to the female lead. Overall, this is an intriguing and well-written piece. I highly recommend it—5 stars and a chef’s kiss! Looking forward to more updates.
