Chapter 75

Huang Yanyan's POV

Wu Ling, Yang Lixia and I had been spending most of our time fully focused on studying. I could now realize that I was actually quite smart and had a real shot at getting into a good college – a fact that would make Gramps proud. However, as we walked through the hallway passages, I couldn't help but notice Song Yangyao and her friend Jiang Mengmeng eyeing me with icy cold stares.

I tried not to care. After all, I was no longer part of the Song household and had nothing to do with them anymore. In fact, I was relieved it turned out Yangyao wasn't actually my sister. If she tried anything stupid, I'd show her the meek Song Yanyan she used to bully was long gone.

"Why is she looking at you like that?" Wu Ling asked, having noticed the icy glares as well.

I shrugged. "I don't know, maybe because I'm pretty?"

Yang Lixia gave me a serious look. "Be real, Yanyan. Those eyes scream 'kill' from a distance."
