Father

Right after the unexpected incident with the rogue werewolves, Scarlett was immediately brought to the nearest hospital.

One of the hospitals owned by the Pride Family.

In her amusement, Scarlett was reminded how much care and concern of the Pride Family with her well-being.

Despite her attempts to reassure the chauffeur that she was fine and alright, Butler Fredo still insisted and instructed the private chauffeur of the Pride Family to bring Scarlett to the nearest hospital owned by the Pride Family.

On their arrival in the hospital, Scarlett was expecting the entire medical team to check on the wounded bodyguard first.

Instead, they all surrounded her and checked her condition if she was truly okay.

The medical chief doctor headed the medical team.

"Wait he needs assistance!" Scarlett referred to her bodyguard laying down on the hospital bed.

"Do not worry Miss Pride! Another medical team will check on his wounds."

He added, "This is only a standard procedure! President Richard Pride would be furious if we don't follow his orders."

There was no way for Scarlett to refuse if it was her father's orders.

Knowing how protective and worried he gets whenever it involves his daughter's welfare.

Scarlett was overwhelmed with the excessive attention and special treatment towards her.

'Wow! This is really too much…' She thought to herself.

All her laboratory tests turned out to be normal.

But she had to wait for the arrival of her father.

Waiting inside a presidential suite VIP ROOM.

Designated only for the members of the Pride Family.

Scarlett could not contain her fascination.

She continued to look around because even in her previous life, Scarlett only has seen such things in the magazine or movies but not experience it herself.

But what got her more fascinated was the battle amongst werewolves she just witnessed.

Recalling the incident and could not stop thinking about the white werewolf.

His marvelous stance.

Blue eyes…

Snow white fur…

Something in that wolf that makes Scarlett feel giddy inside.

And then the door opened while she was contemplating on the image of the white wolf.

"THIS IS WHY I DO NOT DEFY ORDERS…"

Butler Fredo expressed his own thoughts regarding the matter.

"Calm down, Fredo! My sister is alright. There is nothing to worry now." Gary was just behind Butler Fredo.

"Your father is on his way now with your other siblings." The chief of staff of the Pride Family informed Scarlett and Gary.

At the mention of Scarlett's father, it alarmed both Gary and Scarlett that they might get scolded by their father.

"Oh, NO!" Scarlett uttered.

"Oh, YES!" Butler Fredo chuckled and smiled at the worried faces of Gary and Scarlett.

"I will be back, little sister. I will just check on something important." Gary clearly was just making excuses.

Unfortunately, their father entered the room before he could even run away from the situation he was about to face.

Richard Pride, the headmaster of the Pride Family and father of 4 children.

"Where do you think you are going?"

He looked serious and not in the mood to joke around.

Evidently, he was very worried for Scarlett.

"Umm, I was just about to check Scarlett's laboratory test results." Gary stammered and gulped in his nervousness.

Butler Fredo stepped aside discreetly, letting the Pride Family members have their moment.

Richard Pride immediately grabbed Gary's collar in his anger.

"WHY WOULD YOU LET YOUR YOUNGER SISTER GO OUT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION?!?!"

"DON'T YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS IT IS OUT THERE?"

Gary, the second oldest brother of Scarlett reasoned out with their father about the situation.

"FATHER! ENOUGH!"

For the first time, everyone heard Scarlett raise her voice.

Especially with their intimidating and daunting father in present.

"No one is at fault here. Of course, we did not expect for such a thing to happen along the way." Scarlett took everyone's attention.

She continued, "So please… don't be angry at my brother."

Instantly, Scarlett's plea made their father calm.

Letting Gary go.

The other two brothers of Scarlett arrived just in time.

"Woah! What did we miss?" The third oldest son of Richard Pride arrived.

With the eldest son of Richard Pride.

"Alec! Edward!" Gary was relieved to see them.

Compared to Gary, Edward was the most serious and responsible amongst the siblings. While Alec was considered to be the most free-spirited and a total opposite of Edward.

Gary was the average type amongst the three.

Unlike Scarlett, all three of her older brothers were black-haired and taller than her.

She was the only one with the red velvet hair just like their mother.

All of her brothers and even her father could not deny how much Scarlett resembles her mother in all physical aspects.

Her brothers greeted one another upon seeing each other again.

It was not that often they see each other.

They began mumbling and chatting.

Until their father went to Scarlett's side.

"Why would you defy my orders, Scarlett?"

Things became serious once again.

Because everyone knew what would be the next words their father would utter.

"Don't you know how much it will make us suffer if we lose you too?" Richard Pride held Scarlett's hand and expressed his extreme worry for his only daughter.

"Do you want us to lose another family member?"

All her life Scarlett had only one person worrying for her, Laquifa!

Laquifa and her other orphan siblings were her family.

Now, she had to navigate her relationship with new people.

"You do not have to worry that much. If you will only allow me to learn how to defend myself." Scarlett pointed out to her father.

Her words confused everyone.

"Why would you need to do so if someone can protect you? We can protect you!" Her father reiterated their ability to protect Scarlett.

"I am also a member of this family. A family of hunters!" Direct remark of Scarlett.

Alec was drinking a soda until Scarlett mentioned about them being hunters.

He spilled the soda and sputtered some of the liquids from his mouth.

They did not expect her to be aware of such thing.

This time around, Scarlett had to do some changes.

First, making herself stronger and capable in fighting.

The original Scarlett Pride was not capable of fighting at all.

That's why she was considered to be weak and gullible by her enemies.

"I DO NOT WANT TO BE WEAK AND GULLIBLE!"

She continued, "I ALSO WANT TO BE A HUNTER JUST LIKE YOU AND MY BROTHERS!"

Everyone was speechless at the sudden remark of Scarlett.
