Heading To Antarctica

After the Director's instructions, he copied all the data and left the scene in a helicopter.

Following the directives, Daisy encrypted the data once more – the so-called "processing." After all, these things legally still belonged to the Yashida family. They had invested substantial funds and time into their research, and knowledge is wealth. Private property is sacred and inviolable, and S.H.I.E.L.D. has no authority to intervene.

The data was still there, but after Daisy's "processing," it was uncertain whether the Yashida family would have access to it. If there are any issues, they can report to S.H.I.E.L.D., and they'll receive a response within fifteen working days.

After handling the data, Daisy met with Wolverine and the two women.

Wolverine, who had originally planned to continue wandering, was thoroughly defeated. Even heroes find it hard to resist the allure of a beautiful woman. Miss Yashida cried as if she were a tearful maiden, holding onto Wolverine's arm, refusing to let him leave. Yukio was also reluctant. Under their pleading, Wolverine decided to stay in Japan for a while longer.

Daisy felt that she had fulfilled Professor Charles request. Whether being used indoors or outdoors as a scapegoat, as a solitary elder, to be able to enjoy double rewards, Wolverine could secretly feel content.

Old man Yashida was directly pulled out of the armor and buried on the spot. Except for Miss Yashida and Yukio, who were somewhat sad, Daisy and Wolverine remained expressionless.

With a few people and the complete Adamantium alloy armor, Daisy flew back to Tokyo.

Tokyo's streets were even more chaotic. The Hand's remaining four fingers sought to swallow the assets left behind by Madame Gao, while Viper aimed to absorb the Yashida Corporation. Following them were a few more Hydra lieutenants, jumping around like monkeys.

Yashida Shingen was busy, dealing with the company's crisis. The middle-aged man spent the entire day meeting various factions and personalities. He only had a brief encounter with Daisy during dinner.

He showed no interest in the Silver Samurai armor. In exchange for some intelligence support and under the premise of S.H.I.E.L.D. offering limited assistance, Daisy sold the armor, which the old man had spent half a lifetime researching, to S.H.I.E.L.D. for a pittance.

Daisy and Wolverine, along with Yukio and Miss Yashida, took a plane back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.

The Silver Samurai's arms and metal sword were hidden away. The excuse was that they were damaged and lost in battle. The torso and legs were handed over to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Science Division. After all, they had been purchased with public funds.

Combining these alloys with the ones Yashida Shingen had sent earlier, it was enough to create her equipment.

Upon returning to headquarters, she first visited her superior.

The cold air in Agent Coulson's office was still on full blast. As soon as she entered, Daisy involuntarily shrank her neck.

He gestured for her to sit down and take her time explaining.

After briefly recounting the wrap-up work in Japan, she broached the subject of "that big matter."

"Have we got any leads? Should we take action immediately?" She was also quite anxious. Many of the accomplishments of a spy cannot be openly discussed, and attacking the Nazis is one of the few visible, low-risk missions.

Nick Fury fell silent for several seconds, then shook his head slightly. "Let's not make a fuss just yet. After all, the war ended more than sixty years ago. The public and regular agents shouldn't be privy to this information. I need to go and see for myself before making a decision."

Daisy had a foreboding feeling. She heard Coulson continue, "Your teleportation ability is quite impressive, I hear? How about coming with me to the scene?"

She was a bit dumbfounded. There's an entire nest of Nazis, reportedly a few thousand strong, though they are just foot soldiers. And they want the two of them to go?

As it turned out, Coulson wasn't as reckless as she thought. His intention wasn't for just the two of them to go, but four of them!

Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, as a defected agent from an enemy nation, had no way out. She excelled in reconnaissance and gathering intelligence. Coulson brought her along. Hawkeye had a wife and children, making the likelihood of his betrayal very low. He was equally trustworthy.

Following this lead, and since she possessed teleportation abilities, Daisy was a natural inclusion.

Two men and two women, the four of them made some preparations and departed from S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.

Whereas in the past, they needed to perform various mid-route disguise actions like changing vehicles, now all that was unnecessary. Daisy teleported them directly to Hawkeye's secure safe house in Washington, then the four of them boarded an aircraft to head for Antarctica.

"Is this your superpower? Seems like there's a distance limitation? This teleportation experience... feels like being bounced by something, a bit peculiar." These direct questions about her abilities might be crossing a line, but Black Widow and Daisy were relatively familiar, and both being women, it was within acceptable bounds.

Daisy briefly explained her ability. According to her understanding, her vibrational power had neither potential nor development value, essentially a lackluster ability.

None of them believed her, but they didn't press on.

Just like Hawkeye's enhanced vision, which was much stronger than an average person's, everyone knew about it, but how he came to be that way wasn't really inquired about.

While on the plane, the group reviewed the mission. Nick Fury had worked overnight and combined information from the Yashida family's experimental data and the magnetic fields and restricted airspace near Antarctica. He ultimately confirmed that something was indeed amiss in Antarctica.

This was also why he was personally involved. He had to see with his own eyes who was there and what they were doing.

What Daisy had uncovered from the Yashida data was only a portion. With a group of living individuals stationed there, there would likely be some clues. Nick Fury had his own sources of information. When both factors aligned, they would see a lot.

"Perhaps it's a remnant of the Nazis." His tone was quite heavy, but there was also a sense of excitement. Though Daisy had found it, the credit wouldn't escape him.

For S.H.I.E.L.D. to locate remnants of the Nazis would undoubtedly be a significant achievement. It could effectively ease tensions between him and the World Security Council. After all, he had been handling a fair bit of underhanded deals, and the Council's patience was wearing thin.

After speaking, he gave Daisy a satisfied glance. Regardless of the true extent of her abilities, she was a lucky charm!

Just finding a Nazi would be a remarkable accomplishment, parading them through the streets as a spectacle. History books would record Nick Fury's feat of eliminating the final group of Nazis. He would have achieved something even his predecessors, like Howard Stark and Peggy Carter, hadn't managed to do!

However, he wasn't blindly optimistic. Just looking at the resources consumed, they had a sizeable force, and they were already self-sufficient. It was utterly impossible for the four of them to capture a base.

Daisy and Coulson both had their own understanding of the mission. Hawkeye and the Black Widow were more like being drafted into service. When the two of them boarded the plane earlier, they still seemed a bit bewildered. And now what? Nazis! Both of them were quite incredulous.
