Desert Dimension

While Leonidas and Petra were walking, they fell into a crack in the ground much like the one when they were tested.

However, this time they woke up in a whole different environment which seemed to be a desert like area. The ground was covered in sand and the buildings seemed very old fashioned and were as if they had just been taken from the wild west and placed in an endless desert.

People emerged from the houses and were hesitant to interact with the two as they had just appeared out of nowhere. One man spoke up to see what was happening, "Who are you people?"

"We were just walking but fell through a dimensional crack and appeared here. We have no ill will towards you but I do have a question."

"You can ask anything you want to as long as you harbour no bad intentions."

"What is the situation like here? Has the apocalypse started here yet?"

"yes, it started around a week ago and this area is the main strong hold for this city."

"What monsters have appeared?"

"All of the animals that we had living around here mutated and started killing people. There is also a hole in the ground that monsters keep on coming from."

"What abilities have people here awakened to, and who's the strongest here?"

"People have been getting the ability to transform body parts into that of an animals. Some can summon weapons and others have metal skin. I am the strongest person here and my ability is to summon a revolver with the Earth element. What about your abilities?"

"My ability is the Lightning element and Iris' ability is healing herself and others." Leonidas did not want to make himself too noticeable and hid his four other abilities.

"What stage are you two at? I am a stage two and the only one here who has reached the second stage."

"I am stage four and Iris is at stage three. Why are your groups stages so low?"

"The monsters here are too strong. Well, at least the ones that can help you get past stage two are too powerful."

"What do you mean by that?"

"There are monsters that are weak enough to kill if you have an ability for combat and their evolution material can make a person get to the second stage. However, they stop being effective for evolution after stage two, and there is no way to defeat the ones that can give better evolution materials while only being at stage two."

"Where are these hard to kill monsters? if they are not of any use to me or Iris then I will give you guys the evolution material."

"Really? Thank you so much kind sir, we are incredibly grateful to be able to have your help in the matter. The hole is at the centre of the strong hold and after the first floor is where the stronger monsters are residing."

"Floors? There are floors in this dungeon? I have been in one before but it was just a long strip."

"Yes, we do not know how many floors there are in total, but nobody has made it past floor two yet."

"I will sort this out for you, do not worry about it anymore because I am going to use this for both of our benefits."

Leonidas and Iris both went to investigate the dungeon and when they entered it they noticed that it was a lot different to the ant dungeon as it was a lot more structured. There were pillars of stone holding up the interior structure and roof with stone floors and monsters swarming the area.

The first floor had spider monsters with quite hard exoskeletons and the ability to shoot sticky and durable webs. They also had very weak paralysing venom that was injected from their sharp fangs.

Due to it only being him and Iris in the dungeon he used his Fire element and the dark blue flame engulfed the spider monsters and burnt them into ashes.

Leonidas and Iris went down to the second floor and giant worm monsters were living under the ground and popped up to attack when their prey was not suspecting it.

Leonidas used his Ice element and froze underneath the ground and froze the worm monsters while they were underground and then went to the third floor.

This floor was home to scorpion monsters with hard bodies and deadly poison and sharp pincers. They were as powerful as a rank three and were great in numbers.

Leonidas used his poison ability and caused the monsters to have seizures and die in agony.

The fourth floor was the final and most dangerous one with snake monsters that had incredibly durable bodies, fast movements and sharp fangs that cut through anything like it was butter. They were as strong as rank four evolved people and would destroy the entire strong hold above if they escaped.

Leonidas used his Lightning element ability to shoot out a single bolt of lightning that bounced between every single snake monster and exploded their brains and caused them to collapse.

There were around thirty five of them and Leonidas removed all of their cores and used his Duplication ability to turn that number into seventy. He had previously given all of the third stage material to Iris and gotten her to the fourth stage. Once he ate all seventy of the fourth stage evolution material he reached stage five and his elemental abilities all became a deep blood red colour and grew in power once again. Iris had not yet needed to use her healing ability but it was also much stronger than before.

The two of them went back up to the surface with all of the first stage and second stage evolutionary material for the people in the strong hold to use and distribute between themselves.

"Guys we are back and have completed the dungeon. We have brought you around one hundred an fifty evolution materials of stage one and two in total so feel free to do as you please with them."

"Thank you so much, I have no idea how we will ever repay you."

"There is no need, after all, I have no idea how long we will-"

Suddenly Leonidas and Iris were back in their world but they had not even noticed, "be here. Wait, what happened?"

"It seems we came back while you were talking to that man."

"That is weird, you want to go get some food?"
