Chapter 45: The Full Picture
"Gemma," Jay said as he popped his head into her office while tapping gently on the door.
Gemma sat up on her couch sleepily and looked at him through half-shut eyes. She had decided to take a much-needed nap on her lunch break on her comfy office couch. Truth be told, having somewhere to nap was the entire reason she'd even bought a couch for her office.
"You have a guest," Jay murmured softly. "So get up and straighten your clothes a little."
Gemma huffed quietly as he closed the door behind him and stood, brushing away any wrinkles. She sauntered over to her desk and collapsed into her chair tiredly, taking a sip from the half-empty bottle of water on her desk.
She idly wondered who the mysterious guest was as she waited. She knew that she had no appointment set for this time - which is why she'd been taking a nap. She perked up as she heard a gentle knock on her door.
"Come in!" Gemma called out, waiting in anticipation.
