Chapter 16: Behind the Scenes
"Are you going to get that?" Blaze asked, startling Gemma.
Gemma silenced the call from Max and pocketed her phone. She was dressed very casually today - jeans, sneakers, and a shirt. Blaze was dressed much the same in some faded ripped jeans, a skin-tight shirt, and completing his look with beaten-up combat boots.
She'd taken a mental health day and decided to take Blaze up on his offer of a studio session. This way, she could get her mind off of her fight with Max the night before and avoid all the places he'd go looking for her. She had yet to answer any of the many calls he'd made to her since she'd left him in his parent's driveway.
Gemma shook the thoughts off and stood from the couch in the reception area that she'd been sitting on. She smiled at Blaze and shrugged.
Blaze shot her a curious look before nodding toward a black door. "Come on then. I'm excited for you to hear the new song I'm working on."
