Nine Tailed Children- [ Chapter - 17 ]

So then Kameko got mad and tried to get a hold of the two but then Nari asked, "What were you trying to do to these cuties." she said as she hugged the two together, Kameko was speechless that she was taking their side.

Then he said, "They ate the last to berries of evolution!", then the two foxes looked at Nari with begging eyes and she couldn't say no to them so Nari said, "I'll take care of these two then." she said as she hugged them tightly.

Kameko sighed and said, "Ok, I guess it would be good to raise them since they did evolve from the berries of evolution.", then Nari smiled and said, "I'll name the two of you!" then she started thinking of names for them.

But first she checked what were their genders and after checking one was a boy and the other one she couldn't tell since it was androgynous but even so she decided to give that one a gender neutral name.

She named the boy one Pru meaning plum since it looked like it enjoyed eating the plums that she gave it and Nari named the other one Rei since that was the only gender neutral name that came into her mind.

And the two of then seemed like they liked the names and Pru tried saying it's name, "Pruuuu." then Nari so it as absolutely adorable and then she asked Rei, "Can you say Rei?" when she looked at Rei, it did nothing.

It just looked at her curiosity but still it looked cute to Nari and then she hugged both of them and so then Nari and Kameko kept the twins with them as they looked for the star wolf since they couldn't go home yet.

Then Nari gave them some daggers to defend themselves and Pru immediately tried out the daggers to a tree but Rei was just holding them and just sitting there but they continued to search for the star wolf anyway.

After a while of searching they were only able to find a wolf's den and so Nari tried using searching magic for the first time and when she used it a giant illusion appeared and there were a bunch of wolves.

Pru and Rei immediately hid behind Nari while Kameko was in awe of the magic that Nari casted and then after a while of watching the illusion it then showed the star wolf leading the pack of shadow wolves.

So then Nari asked Kameko, "Did you understand that?", then both of them ran out with Pru and Rei in tow and Kameko said, "Yep, let's go." so then Nari and Kameko looked for the shadow wolves they saw before.

They only ignored it because they didn't think that the star wolf would be the alpha of the shadow wolves and they quickly ran towards the place where they saw the shadow wolves while they were searching for the star wolf.

Then after a while of looking for the shadow wolves they saw before, they were able to find them and so they followed the shadow wolves around and found them going into a new den and so Nari used a spell to check inside.

And Nari saw the star wolf laying down in the den and Nari then said quietly, "Kameko, the star wolf is laying inside the den, I'll provide support while watching the twins." so then Kameko went inside to lure the star wolf out.

After going inside Kameko charged inside and immediately attacked the star wolf when he saw it and then he quickly ran out of the den and back out and then Nari and Kameko prepared themselves for battle.

But then what came out was a weak star wolf with it's legs scratched and weakened and just the shadow wolves were protecting the star wolf as it came out and Nari asked, "Did you hurt it that much?".

Kameko was confused and said, "No, I only hit it once." so then both of them were confused but then the twins started charging at the shadow wolves and then Nari reacted because they might get hurt.

So then she tried using the advanced spell, "Magic Missle" and then killed all of the shadow wolves instantly because she aimed for their heads and all of them fell to the ground and now the star wolf was by itself.

Then Nari went up to it and then tried taming it and then her mana started surrounding the star wolf and then it's eyes became blue and it went back to normal so then Nari healed it and then tried to connrct with it.

She tried to find out the reason why it was so badly injured and after a while of searching she found out that it battled another legendary variant, "Nine Tailed Fox" but when she saw it, it had children.

It was the two fox twins they found and it looked like it was protecting them but died doing so but it was still successfully able to save it's children and so Rei and Pru was afraid of the star wolf.

But what surprised them the most that Rei and Pru were the children of a nine tailed fox and they could grow up to be legendary variants as well and they already ate an evolution berry so that was highly likely to happen.

And then Nari hugged them because she thought that she let Rei and Pru remember something bad but they are not actually able to remember their parents that well and they just attacked the wolves because they were scared.

So then Nari and Kameko needed something to show that they killed the star wolf so they took some of the blood and fur of the star wolf to be proof that they killed it and then Nari brought the star wolf into their house.

Then they headed to the guild with Pru and Rei and got them some clothes before entering and then they went to the receptionist showing the blood and fur and they went to confirm if it was actually the star wolf.

So then after a while of waiting it was confirmed that it was the star wolf and then the receptionist asked, "Where is the corpse of the star wolf.", then Nari said, "After we killed it, it was immediately eaten by the other wolves.".

They understood what she meant and since they ar most of the corpse of the star wolf they could only bring some of it's blood and fur back and then she gave them the mission's rewards and marked their first mission completed.
