Meeting The Duke - [ Chapter - 25 ]

The baron was now in shock and said, "How dare you do that to me!", Nari really didn't like him since he was so arrogant and cocky but she still couldn't believe everything she said went out of his head.

Then she said to Kameko and the twins, "Let's go.", the baron was now shouting at them to come back and apologize to him but Nari got a better idea and she decided that they would go to the capital.

Kameko actually agreed to the idea since it was better than staying with that pathetic excuse of noble but he was still kind of sad that they couldn't receive the reward that they would've gotten.

After that they left the city but the baron actually got the guards to try and kill them and when Nari saw this he just saw him of a bigger idiot since he asked them to take care of all the corrupted guild bases and officials.

That they weren't able to do at all while they did it only in a few days and now they thought that his men would able to defeat them so Nari just restrained them and continued leaving while Kameko were taking care of the twins.

Nari really didn't like people looking down on her because of her mind set from her previous life that she had to work hard and she didn't like it when someone doesn't recognize that someone worked hard for them and they disliked it.

So then after that Nari, Kameko and the twins headed to the capital as Nari used her long distance teleportation spell to teleport them to the capital while using the map she bought before to teleport them to the right place.

Then after that they were teleported right outside of the gates of the capital and Nari and Kameko wanted to sign up to being a part of being the nobles since Nari wanted to rule the territory their house was in.

Since she wanted to keep their house safe and she decides that the best plan to do that was actually becoming a high ranking official themselves and so they first needed to climb the ranks.

But when they entered the place they were greeted to what seems like the general of the guards and then he said, "Welcome Miss Nari and Sir Kameko, the Duke would like to meet you two.".

Nari was immediately confused since she definitely knew that their names shouldn't have been known by people this far but for some reason they know their names and even the Duke knows it as well.

So they were a bit worried that they were also a part of the corrupted guild officials and they would be taken care of since fighting a low ranking noble is one thing bit fighting a duke is on a whole other level.

They still followed them anyway since they couldn't refuse an invitation of someone with a high ranking position such as the Duke but Nari and Kameko put up their guard and told the twins to be ready as well.

After following them they were shown to the Duke's room and it was made of many luxurious materials and Kameko and the twins were in awe at how beautiful it was but Nari didn't even flinch since she has been to luxurious places before.

In her past life she has visited many places before with her parents for her smarts but was looked down on since she enjoyed anime and manga and it was treated like she was a child for liking such things.

Then after going into the room Nari and Kameko saw a person with an incredible aura and mana levels and it was actually near Nari's level so she was really surprised but then Nari used the spell "True Rating".

She decided to check the percentage levels of the duke but when she checked it his pureness level would be able to allow him to hold the holy sword and so she told Kameko this and they lowered their guard a bit.

Since they were able to find out the duke isn't such a bad person and then Nari asked, "So why did you call us here?" she said with confidence since she has met people with higher positions than her before.

The Duke chuckled and asked, "So you really are the brains of your group, huh?", Nari said, "Yes that is true bit please don't avoid the question." the Duke chuckled again and then brought out some papers.

He continoued and said, "I would like to thank you for clearing all of the corrupted guild bases and officials in the Revnoir City and I would like you to clear out as many as you can but as a reward for doing the first city, here.".

So then he pushes some papers to them and a few artifacts as well, the papers were deeds to the forest they live in and then the Duke says, "I notice how often you go in and out of there so I gave you the deed of the land there.".

Then Nari checks what the artifacts does as she casts the spell appraisal and she saw the first artifact was a binding artifact that would upgrade the user's dominant eye and upgrade it fit for more magic purposes.

The second artifact was a circular disc and it could be imbeded to the human body and it would upgrade it adding a skeletal attachment using mana to upgrade all physical stats on a the wearer's body.

And the last artifact was a communication artifact that could create an infinite amount of devices that allows people to talk to other people who have the device and there were zero currently made.

Nari decided to double check by using the goblin's magic, "Curse Search" which was actually better than the regular spell and spirit spell that she learned since it could name and describe the curse more better.

But when she did this nothing happened so nothing was changed to it and so she told Kameko this and they all equipped the artifacts and it improved their strength greatly and then the Duke smiled.

He then said, "Whenever you clear a city from any corruption tell me and I shall properly reward you once I find out you two have told the truth." and then after that they were shown out of the room.
