Casanova- Part One

"Finally! Help has arrived! Everybody step aside!" Somebody notified the crowd.

The paramedics made their way to the front and Kaiden let them take her in the stretcher they'd brought with them.

'Fight! Vanessa, fight!'

That was all he could think of as they wheeled her static body outside the lounge.

He didn't know when a lone tear crash-landed his right cheek as he followed after them.

<Four hours later>

"Oh! Hey, man." 

Kaiden, who was moving about the visitors' lounge of the hospital, turned to look at the person who'd spoken.

"Hi, I'm Pete," said the boy with the wavy blonde hair, extending his hand for a shake with him. "I got here as fast as I could." 

Kaiden viewed him from top to bottom. He seemed like a perfect chill guy. He still hadn't accepted the handshake.

"Did you just say, Pete?"

"Yeah. Pete, as in Vanessa's boyfriend."
