Awkward...... An Old Friend

Pausing in your escapades Mai fully comes out of her apartment fully and I sit off to the side slightly embarrassed. "OK what's up Yugi? Wait don't answer that you must be here because of Battle City right?"

Yugi choosing to ignore the sene that happened not even minutes prior responds. "Yeah so you must've gotten an duel disk and a invite too!" Unlike Yugi Joey choses to be less polite and shouts. "I'm not going to ignore what just happened there! Why are you in Mai's house!"

Mai looks slightly weird as she asks Yugi and Joey. "Wait! How did either of you find where I live in the first place?" Both Yugi and Joey freeze up with Joey dragging Yugi away from us slightly. They then proceed to whisper is what Joey thinks is a quiet voice although both me and Mai can hear them clearly.

"How do we explain your puzzle magic and the Rare Hunters." Joey first speaks is a slightly lower than normal volume while Yugi speaks in such a quiet voice even I have trouble hearing him fully.

Up until both Yugi and Joey come back to where both me and Mai are standing then Yugi surprisingly speaks up first. "Ok this is going to sound crazy but I have a spir-"

Mai proceeds to interrupt Yugi and says. "Yeah you have a magical puzzle that allows you to feel people from far away and you found me using that." Both Yugi and Joey blink twice before Joey looks like he's about to go through another of his outbursts. Before I speak up to hopefully stop before he can say something stupid.

"And your were also probably going to say something about the Rare Hunters which are mind controlled puppets controlled by a Millennium Item just like the Millennium Puzzle Yugi has."

And after that Joey officially breaks as you can pysically hear and see Joey's gears turning and failing to make sense of the situation. Yugi on the other hand is dumbfounded but he still reponds. "So you already know? Well that's good so you know to avoid them."

"Why would I do that in Battle City we need Locator Cards and if the Rare Hunters are participating then thats just free cards." Responding to Yugi he's face falls as he looks towards Mai and she even nods along.

"W-well either way be careful they also got their hands on Kaiba Corp tech which means they must have some serious fire power!"

"We got it Yugi don't worry!" After reassuring Yugi I lean up and whisper in a low tone. "Also you seem different your more confident you look kinda similar to that spirit you hold." Yugi jumps with his hair almost shaking along with the contained Ba in the Millennium Puzzle slightly flaring up.

'I love messing with the Atem. Even though he could mind crush me and be done with it... When I think of Atem like that I'll never provoke him again even if Yugi is consitently holding him back. I don't want to end up like Weevil.'

Moving past Yugi and Mai heading towards the ground floor of the apartment complex I stop and speak to the both of them. "Anyway I'm gonna go I've got to get 6 Locator Cards good luck Mai and Yugi! Also good luck Joey but I don't think he can even hear me."

Leaving the complex I immediately head towards the darkest part of Domino City or a suppose it would be called the "slum" in search of the graveyard and or any other Rare Hunters.

sitting on a bench in a nearby a basket ball court Riku can be seen enjoying a piping hot and fresh breakfeast burrito. 'Damn this is good that El Pablos place was amazing but it strangely only had like 2 other people there.'

"Riku! or I should say the King Of Games I'm here to challenge you to a duel!" Looking up from his position is just the person Riku wanted to see. "Ah Tommy how have you been? The loser life treating you well?"

"The only loser that's here is you after I crush you into the ground! Now get up I know your in Battle City." Looking to Tommy's arm there is a duel disk signifying that he is participating in Battle City.

Getting up from his sitting position Tommy leads him towards the basketball court, which is currently devoid of people other than two others sitting courtside similar to how Riku was. "Come on let me show you to my friends!" Tommy excitedly drags Riku over to the two people sitting courtside.

"Meet Janet and Liam! And you guys told me that I didn't know the King Of Games." The two people sitting down are very surprised to see both me and Tommy together. Liam being a normal heighted boy around 5'6 if you had to guess and Janet being around 5 feet tall.

"Hey now unlike you I have a life as the King Of Games so I have stuff I need to do after this meaning duel me now and lets talk after." Tommy seems surprised as from his knowledge I would've just let the conversation flow and duel after though he shakes it off. "Yeah! lets do this!"

Both of us stand far away on opposite sides of the court and as both of us power on our duel disks and insert our decks we say synchronized. "Let's Duel!"
