Veronica's eyes were doing things to him but this time, it wasn't making him horny, it was giving him soft feelings.
He didn't want to f*ck her in the car since it was their first time after such an long time. He wanted to lie her down in his bedroom and have his ways with her.
Veronica noticed the hesitation in his eyes and she didn't like it.
He was worried about her not feeling special while she was thinking that he didn't want her. She was dealing with lots of insecurities.
She remembered how she was treated before by her ex-husband. She was extremely beautiful but it also matters whether the people around you have the eyes to see your beauty or even understand it.
Her ex-husband was a abusive man who did everything to make her feel ugly. She was at her weakest at that time and everything she was told back then stayed with her for her entire life.
She believed his words because there wasn't anyone to tell her otherwise. She accepted whatever he said because her own soul has left her body by then.
She was barely a human. She was just a walking corpse.
Her body which should have been worshipped was insulted by him over and over again. He was the one who would abuse her by cutting her skin and burning her yet he was the one who would call her ugly for having those marks.
He would manipulate her into thinking that she wasn't worthy of coming anywhere with him because everyone would be scared of her ugliness.
She believed everything he said and her own insecurities also ate her up.
Long gone was the Veronica who would consider herself pretty. Now was only one version of her was left who knew that she was the prettiest yet she didn't knew whether the people before her had a pretty mind or not.
A flashback came into her mind, making her heart even harder.

"Don't do this please. I am begging you. I am not feeling ok," Veronica was crying.
Her breathing was uneven and face red from all of these crying. Her eyes became fluffy and anyone who saw her then was going to think that she was going through a lot of things.
And it was true, she was. Her husband was trying to force himself upon her despite her actively saying no.
"Shut up, I am your husband. I can do whatever I want and whenever I want. You must give in to my desires, that's how the entire world works," he said, tearing her clothes apart.
It has only been a few days since they got married. Veronica never wanted to marry anyone else other than Andrew but her hands were tied and she had no other option.
Her parents blackmailed her too well and she was forced to marry him. Her husband seemed like a good guy when they first met.
He was all smiles despite being in the mafia. Everyone said that he was the perfect one for her but her heart didn't agree.
It wasn't only because she was still in love with Andrew. There was something else about him. The way he acts like he didn't care about her past or anything and how he was hurrying everyone to get her married to him was straight up weird given that they never met before.
Veronica came to a conclusion that it was love at first sight for him and that's why he wanted to take her with him that fast.
She told him about her past when they were told to talk for a few minutes. He brushed it off saying that everyone has a past and it doesn't mean anything now since they were going to be together soon.
"From today, we only have each other in our life. What happened in the past is already gone with the past. We should focus on our future. Would you like to be my wife?"
He said and she left from there without saying anything. She didn't want to ruin his life by becoming his since he seemed like a good guy but who knew what was going on behind his good boy appearance?
