Celia Knows

A few hours passed and Elliot grew weary of me, I mean who wouldn't. He decided to come up and check on me and to his surprise, I was laying almost lifeless on his bed.

"Omg, not again, how dare he keep doing this to her." Elliot said as he rushed to get a cold cloth from the bathroom.

He came to my side and said,

"Crystal, please wake up. Come on Crystal, you have to wake up. You need to be stronger than him. Try to resist, come on!"

Elliot was hovering over my body and put the a cold cloth on my forehead.

I was burning up.

"I should have never left her out of my sights, I am a fucking idiot. She was vulnerable and I let this happen to her. How could I let this happen and now, she is with him, and every time he slips into her mind he gets stronger?"

Celia came into the room, she had her hand extended and exerting what little power she could wield at that moment. She glanced at my body and then at her brother and stated,

"It's no use wailing on and on about your mistake, brother, not even my spells can wake her up."

Celia heavily breathed as her energy depleted.

"Don't use up all your strength sis, you're still very young and that means your powers haven't fully developed yet. We wouldn't want you to lose them, before you have them fully, now would we?" Elliot sighed.

He looked at my body just laying there silently, as if he lost someone close to him.

"Don't worry brother, we'll get her back." Celia said , as she came over to hug her brother tightly.

Elliot stood up and went to the bathroom to replace the old cold cloth for a new one, and he answered,

"I sure hope so, I know she's strong, but he is stronger. Like I have said, I should have never left her side. I could've stopped him from invading into her mind. I would have saved her from his clutches at least for the time being."

Elliot came back over, placed the cold cloth on my body and then looked away trying to hide his frustration from his sister. He was literally chewing himself up about this.

"Elliot! Stop beating yourself over what has already been done. We will get her back, okay? Besides, look on the bright side, he doesn't have all of her. He just has her mind, but he cannot touch her physically. That has to count for something, right? We are here, she is safe, that is all that matters." Celia replied, trying to cheer up Elliot.

"Yeah, I guess. You know for an 8 year-old, you sure are smart sis. Although, if he pick-pockets her brain and makes her reveal where she is being held, his henchman will come for her. That means our lives too will be in jeopardy and I cannot afford to lose you too."  Elliot stammered.

Celia smiled and shrugged, "Brother, you will not lose me, I'll defend myself as much as I can. You won't lose me ever. H is a big  meanie for leaving us, his own family, and Elliot?"

"Yes?" Elliot said curiously.

"Well, uhm. How do I say this..." Celia was blushing a little in embarrassment.

"Come on spill! What is it that you want to ask Celia?"

The suspense was killing Elliot.

"Celia?"

"Okay, here it goes. I have been suspicious of your behavior ever since you began to acquaint yourself with Crystal. Do you like Crystal, like more than a friend per say? I am just getting really weird vibes from you, that's all." Celia, still blushing, looked up at her brother.

Elliot's cheeks flushed and he stuttered,

"I-I-."

Then he cleared his throat.

"Do I have a crush on Crystal? Perhaps, yes, but I really don't think she would be into me. She is perfect, too perfect if you ask me, so, why would she ever be interested in me? Besides I don't have time to love someone. I have you to look after."

The look on Celia's face was total outrage as she sternly replied,

"EXCUSES!"

Elliot looking at my body, and then back to Celia, answered,

"No, I am being 100% serious. You are my top priority, I would give her over just to make sure nothing would ever happen to you. We have lost a great amount over the years and we only have each other."

Elliot then held my hand and felt that my heart was faint, and he held on to it.

"You sound just like her, going on about being the protector, never wanting to lose the one that measn most. Crystal is probably thinking it was her fault her sister is where she is now, but I call bullshi-"

Elliot cut her off as he said,

"Hey, no swearing. You're too young to swear, have I taught you nothing over these past few years."

Celia then continued, "Sorry, sometimes I get worked up and I cannot help myself, but I don't believe you Elliot. I don't need you to take care of me, yet, that shouldn't keep you from loving someone. Especially, since Crystal is beautiful and not to mention, suppose to be the Queen. You should ask her out, I mean you're either going to get a yes or no answer."

She was not wrong, as simple as that sounds, it was more complicated then that and I don't have time explain it all to her right now. Elliot thought to himself and then replied,

"So what If she's crowned Queen or not? I don't know if I will be able to handle all the pressure of being by her side. That role would difficult and she needs someone that's clearly not a farmer like me. She needs someone who knows how to support the people, not a man who works in the fields all day."

"She is better off with you, than him. He will lock her up and keep her from the people, if he gets his paws on her."

"Do you think, I do not know that. I will try to keep her safe, but I will not ask her out, it's not in the cards for me."

Celia shook her head in disbelief,

"Elliot, you're such a fool! You have King qualities and you don't even see it, but I do. I am your sister, I notice things that you might not. The way you take care of your farm and me; you're a person who cares a lot. That's a king quality, a king must care about the nature and people who surround him because, he's their mentor, protector and role model."

"Celia, that all sound really nice, believe me, I would love to be all that, but I am not a role model."

She ignored him and continued,

"You are a loving person; how you want to help your farm grow, you would do for your people. That includes Crystal too and it pains me that you cannot help her right now. That's a king quality because, being a loving and caring man makes for great leadership. Brother, stop focusing on everything that won't make you good enough for her and start looking at all the positives on why you would be a great match. Trust me, there is no reason why you shouldn't at least give it a shot."

I wish she knew, but her memory of that awful day was erased. She has no recollection of the ugly truth that is our past. Elliot was thinking and then had said,

"Celia, please enough, my head is spinning as is. Crystal isn't waking up and I cannot think about being with her. Being in love takes time and I cannot force it upon her. So, please stop. Okay?"

He glanced over at Celia with a single teardrop running down his cheek.

She nodded in respect and then she pointed at my body,

"Elliot, look at Crystal. Some thing is happening to her."

My body began to move vigorously and Elliot quickly came and held me down.

Celia held out her hand and closed her eyes, then she said to Elliot,

"She's trying to resist him. She's trying to escape the hold he has on her." Celia positively said.

Elliot replied,

"Celia, I know you don't have much for powers yet, try using your spell now. It may just be enough."

Celia hovered over my body and quickly enchanted a spell... however, nothing worked.

Elliot was furious, he thought Celia could use her awaking spell on Crystal and that would do the trick, but unfortunately it fell through.

Celia put her hand on my head and closed her eyes, as if to read my emotions.

"He's too powerful, Elliot. She isn't badly hurt, but I sense she is in a lot of pain. His grip is very strong, as if he's scared of something. I don't know, maybe I sense it all wrong, but there's no use." Celia answered.

"Afraid of what? What could he possibly be afraid of. He has everything he wants practically. There can't be anything that he fears. Nothing!"

"Well, all I sensed was fear. He was drowning in it. Although, Crystal didn't feel fear, I felt a very subtle vibe from her. Yes, she's in pain, but she is happy." Celia replied.

"What do you mean Celia?" Elliot became curious.

"It was a rather excitement she felt. Like she was at her most vulnerable, yet highest peak and perhaps, she knows something  we don't? Who knows, maybe she didn't want to tell us anything in her own fear and for the fact that she doesn't have complete trust in us yet." Celia answered.

"I guess we will just have to wait and see." Elliot sighed; worried and all.
