chapter two

FIVE YEARS later

Emma pov

"Mommy mommy " emma woke up suddenly when she heard yelling .she got out of bed in a hurry and ran downstairs to see her two little children covered in flour with her brother connor .

What is going on here I yelled

"Mommy uncle Connor tried to make us pancakes but he fell and the flour went on us .my adorable little daughter" Amelia said

"Really connor I told you ,you aren't allowed to ever cook in my kitchen ever again .do you remember what happened the last time ".I said while glaring at my idiot brother

"You promised me that you would never bring that up again". Connor yelled glaring at me

While if you don't want me to bring it up then you shouldn't have dropped flour in my kitchen ,you guys are a mess .Amelia and Liam go take a shower and go get ready for school ,Connor clean this kitchen up and then go shower .

What are you going to do .Connor asked

I have to go get ready because I have a company to run and I don't sit on my butt all day I said while going upstairs to shower and get dressed

"Ok Amelia and Liam come on .you are going to be late ". I yelled while laughing when I saw Liam fight with connor when connor touches his hair

I grab their hands and lift Amelia into the car and buckle her into her carseat while connor does the same Liam

I dropped them off at school and then I drop connor off at his job .He works at an investment company, he never wanted to go into the family business and it was just the two of us ,so I decided run the company .It took alot of time to get to where I am today ,I devoted my whole life into this firm and it played off because now I run the most successful law firm but my children always comes first ,I don't care if I have to choose my kids will be my first chose and I didn't need a man to tell me how to raise my kids .

I arrive at the firm and I head up to my office when I hear my assistant Jeff calling me ."good morning jeff"i said whilst smiling to him .Jeff has always been loyal to me and my kids love him .he usually entertains them when I'm in a meeting and they always have a fun time .

"Emma you have a meeting with a new client in thirty minutes ,the client wants to discuss the case and sign the contract ,the file is your office and your mother says to call her and a miss lily Taylor called and is asking what time are you available for lunch"

I always met with lily Taylor on Wednesday for her to see the kids ,I promised her that I'll let her see the kids ,she always supported me and was there for me when times were tough. We meet at different locations because she knows how hard it is to go to her house .

"Thank you Jeff and can you please tell lily that she must come to my house the same time as usual and please get my usual coffee and breakfast and tell someone to prep the boardroom asap" I said whilst getting on the elevator I press number 7 .

I get my phone out and call my mother

"Hi mom how are you "

"Hi honey I'm good, I'm wondering when are you coming to visit me and your dad with my grandchildren. I miss them"

"I don't know mom,I'm not sure but they miss you .I'll try to visit more often"i said while trying to open the door

"Ok honey bye I love you .tell your brother to answer my calls"

"Ok bye mom I love you"i said while finally happy that I opened my door .

I walked to the boardroom and sit down at my chair and take out the file .the company wants to hire us as the prime lawyers because one of their ex employees are trying to get the company sued because they said they were fired out of the blue and now they want a lot Money .I really hope the CEO is not an asshole because I can't deal with that today.

"Emma the client is here with his assistant " Jeff said while giving me my laptop .

"ok please send them in and please tell anna that she needs to be here to write the notes and make sure she brings the right paperwork and file ."

My phone starts ringing and I see it's the school calling.

"Hi ms Jackson your son connor got into a fight and the other child parents are complaining so if you can please come here for a meeting "

Connor got into a fight ,its his third fight in this school

"Oh ok I will come in about one hour and sort this out ,but I have one question"i said while trying not to laugh

"Ok what is the question ms jackson"

"Did connor win?"

After a little silence the principal answered

"Yes ms jackson "

That's my boy

I hanged up and then the door opened to see the person I hate the most and the girl I want to punch and my intern Anna

I have to act professional and not throw my coffee at them

"Emma "jack asked shocked

"Hello mr Taylor let's gets started "I said while smirking to Mary
