New Character:
Uramono - The CEO of ColeTech and the father of Koji.
The black car pulls up to the front of ColeTech HQ. The driver stepped out to open the car door for Koji and Toryu, with Koji stepping out first and then Toryu.
All three step in the building. "Kura, you are free to your quarters," said Koji and Kura, the driver, steps away from the pair to enter an elevator on the left side of the room. Koji said to Toryu, "Come on. I'll show you to the CEO room." Both step into the elevator on the left, and Koji presses a button for Toryu and him to be taken up to the highest floor in the building.
"I suppose you have business with my father…" Koji said before the elevator door closed.
Koji and Toryu enter the highest floor in the building. In front of the elevator is a hallway, and at the end of the hallway is Uramono's room. Toryu steps forward out of the elevator, but Koji stays behind. "I'll leave you to discuss… whatever with my father," said Koji. "I gotta go fix my gauntlets." Koji presses a button and the elevator door closed.
Toryu makes to the end of the hallway to find Uramono, the CEO of ColeTech, working and reading through papers on his desk.
Uramono was a fairly tall man, with light skin and a mustache, plus a goatee. He always wore a black suit to work with a red tie and a white button up shirt underneath.
Toryu speaks up, "Greetings, Mr." "You must be one of the tournament fighters," Uramono responded. "Torku, was it?" "It's Toryu, sir…" Toryu corrected.
Uramono said, "So what brings you to the ColeTech HQ. I'm all ears." Toryu replied, "Well… the matter concerns you and my father." "Who might your father be?" Uramono asked. "Damareta Hito," answered Toryu. "I believe you worked with him in the past.
"Oh yes…" Uramono said. "I am sorry for you. His… sudden death all those years ago must've hurt you and your mother. Speaking of her, how is she doing?" Toryu answered, "She's doing well. She's gotten over it and has re-married." Uramono replied, "Hmm… interesting…"
Toryu continued, "The main point is the cause of his death. It was… too sudden that he died. The one cause I pointed to was that he was murdered. I wanted to know if you had any insight on it or… explanations." A bead of sweat trickled down Uramono's forehead. Nervously, Uramono responded, "Uh… no. I have nothing else to say on the matter."
"Neither do I…" said Toryu. "I think I'll take my leave." Toryu walked right back into the hallway and entered the elevator. "I only have a fraction of what I need." Toryu said under his breath.
On the bottom floor, Toryu exits the elevator and steps out. Out of nowhere, Koji stepped forward. "How did it go?" Koji asked. Toryu answered, "It went well. I have what I need." As Toryu began to exit the building, Koji asked, "Wait. Don't you need a ride home?" "I can find my way home…" Toryu answered with a slight aggressive tone.
Toryu finally left the building and headed home. "He's been lying!" Toryu thought as he walked home. "He's been trying to cover it up, keeping it in the shadows… but no more. Justice will be served."
At Toryu's residence…
Toryu stepped in the door to find his mother, sitting on the living room couch knitting a quilt.
"Hello, son," his mother started. "Did you find what you need?" Toryu angrily answered, "Only a little. Apparently, he still has it covered up. By the way, where's stepdad?" His mother answered, He's at work, and what did I tell you about calling him 'stepdad'. You can call him dad, you know."
"I know…" Toryu replied. He took off his mask to reveal a saddened expression. He continued, "It's not the same without dad…" His mother stood up to hug him. She responded, "I know, I know. We'll have what we both need soon enough." Toryu released himself from his mother's grasp to go upstairs to his bedroom.
