Chapter 159: Overlords

'Cosmic Medium': This level is very problematic, as beings at this level can be considered invincible. They can destroy Level 7 worlds, as well as multi-galaxies. They also receive a nickname, 'Indestructible.'

'Cosmic High': This level has been the farthest a Champion has reached. At this level, they can destroy Universes. Fortunately, no Overlords have reached this level yet. They also receive a nickname, 'Transcendent.'"

Finishing her explanation, Hestia sighed; this had taken quite a bit of energy, but it was fine. It also reminded her of good times.

"What about the other levels? What's in Level 2? Level 1?"

"My Champion, an Overlord is the opposite of you. They are beings that destroy or devour worlds. Only someone who has destroyed a world can bear that title..."

Pausing for a moment, Hestia raised a finger while smiling bitterly.

"In other words, he's your greatest enemy."

If there's light, there must be darkness. Overlords are exactly that; they are the darkness, beings hated and feared by the world, as well as the natural predators of the world.

They exist to destroy the world, just like Champions. Overlords have no limits; they will grow and surpass the Gods, as well as devour the worlds, making themselves stronger with each world they destroy. Unlike Champions, who become stronger through effort and time, Overlords become stronger by destroying worlds since they devour the energy of the world, making it part of their power. At the same time, the world curses them, leaving the cursed mark on their souls forever. However, this mark is something that distinguishes them since, with it, they can continue to grow and destroy worlds, making them almost invincible.

There are many Overlords in the infinite Universe, several of them capable of destroying a Level 2 world. Unfortunately, Champions are few in number, but conversely, Champions are stronger but more vulnerable since their duty is to save and protect the world.

Fortunately, Champions don't lose because there are no records of an Overlord winning against a Champion, not to mention the superior Champion who destroyed thousands of Overlords in the past, leaving these beings in decline.
